Luffy is an awesome character! Sure he may be a bit thick and a goof but that is just his character and he always gets serious when it counts.

Ichiya is just annoying. Always yelling about Parfum and acts like he's handsom or something. Like when he uses that one perfum that makes his muscular and spends half the time showing off his body. I don't want to see that! Plus he hits on Erza and that's not cool. There is just something about the way he acts like he's so smooth, handsome, and cool when he's NONE of those things and he's not even that strong. He's apparently treated as their ace but really that is only because the entire guild is more like a host club than a mage guild. So he's like the best out of so so fighters.

Well you might be in the filler episodes. Fairy Tail avoided any real filler for the longest time but that sort of backfired when they had to end a season MID ARC! Even after a Haitus they apparently need some filler. Although I've heard some say some of it isn't actually fillar but side stories from an extra book or something but they still don't really progress the main plot so it's the same thing really. That might be why you aren't happy with the current arc and I could tell you where the actual new arc starts if you want. Especially the Tartarus arc which manga readers say they were looking forward to.

 

Well actually, there's officially 3 filler arcs in Fairy Tail: Daphne, Key of the Starry Sky and Eclipse Celestial Spirit, they were filler while others are canon, some episodes which are of 1 episode are fillers and some are adapted by special chapters of the manga, like the Fairy Tail x Rave OVA, but I do hope they adapt the Fairy Tail x Nanatsu no Taizai chapter, they did the Eclipse filler so that the manga could finish the Tartaros arc which at the time was half way finished

Anyways, why would anyone hate Luffy, he's awesome and badass, plus he's funny on a few instances he's not serious, plus Ichiya is very annoying so

Oh yeah forgot about those. In any case Fairy Tail is lighter on filler than most Shonen anime and when they do filler it's generally been pretty good. The Eclipse arc was a bit lame and half hearted though with the pointless minigame like episodes where we had card games and quiz shows and then that was followed by what I think was a mix of filler and special chapters. So what I was trying to say to Super was "yeah Fairy Tail has been kinda weak lately but it's just a bad spot of filler so I can tell you where it ends if you want to skip to the next actual arc.

 

Because he's such a f***ing idiot that it makes me want to bash my head against a wall. His constant cluelessness drives me to wishing death upon him from every villain he encounters, before he even meets them. Characterisation is probably One Piece's biggest flaw.

I just can't hate Tomoko. I don't exactly like her and I don't like the series itself much at all but I feel bad for her because poor choices or not she is at least trying to fit in better. But then again that is the whole point of the series that it's her poor perception of how the world works and her personality that are causing her to become secluded.

 

The fact that you're the only one who thinks that, well you know what it means. Luffy imo is a great character. Adventurous, fun, kind, strong, serious when it matters. Characterisation is good in One Piece.

This is insulting an entire country. One Piece is one of the most popular animes/mangas in Japan, if not the most popular.
