Itan Manga Magazine's Print Edition Goes On Hiatus

The 44th issue of Kodansha's Itan manga magazine (seen right) announced on Thursday that the magazine's print edition will go on hiatus, with some of the currently serialized manga moving to Kodansha's Comic Days website. The magazine does not specify if or when the print version will return. The issue also published the final chapters of Yukka's Kaitō Bocchan to Watashi and Tsukiko Hiruno's Alice no Rakuen manga.

The following manga will move their serialization to Comic Days starting this August:

• Ai Tanaka's Limbo the King
• Ryō Oda's Noh-men Joshi no Hanako-san
• Maki Marukido's Omega Megaera
• Nodoka Tsurumaki's Seiketsu no Kaijū
• Sayaka Mogi's Onikui Shōjo to Tsukifukurō

Comic Days will start these manga on the same schedule they had in Itan, which published a new issue every even-numbered month. However, Itan's staff warns that these manga's serialization schedules may change later.

Plans to continue serialization of Satoshi Morie's Shinai Naru A-jō e no Mystery and Bikke's Ōkoku no Ko manga are still being prepared.

Kodansha launched the magazine in 2010, and has serialized such manga as Haruko Kumota's Descending Stories: Showa Genroku Rakugo Shinju, Kore Yamazaki's Frau Faust, and Ai Tanaka's Sono Musume, Musashi. The magazine's website also serializes web manga.
