    I watched it five years ago, so my memories are fuzzy, but wasn't Natsuno's death left ambiguous by leaving him in a hole with no escape? That could be one way to keep the series going, but I always assumed he'd commit suicide before drinking anyone's blood.

    Gore is there to shock viewers, it's not eye candy, it's just to show that "WE'RE SO MUCH DIFFERENT LOOK AT US WE PUT GORE INTO OUR MOVIES"
