Have You Ever Wanted to Make Your Own Manga?

It seems many of us face that issue.

 

Learning to draw takes diligence. It took me years to be able to do what I can do now. And even then, I don't consider myself to be on any level that matters. I'm still a novice.

 

Well don't worry my fellow inadequate artists. There are both creators and consumers in this world and without we consumers the creators aren't appreciated like they should be so don't worry about what you can't do just support those who can and you'll feel better. The more support the creators get the more content there will be for use to appreciate.

 

You have a very valid point.

I always suggest that new aspiring artists get involved with DevintArt. There's a lot of people who are out there that will help with feedback and tips. That's how I've gotten to where I am. I now have some of the Deviants that I follow that are waiting to see what kind of progress I make on my next piece. They are always willing to help. You guys should check it out.

 

Don't beat yourself up over it, practice and practice! If you don't wish to draw it, there are art programs in which you can use that seem to be rather popular lately... and if you wish to not do any of the artistic, you can pair up with someone who wants to do it and come up with the story and work together. An example of Manga-kas that do that are the creators of Death Note, written by Tsugumi Ohba and Illustrated by Takeshi Obata.

 

yeah, i'm actually planning to write a story like a Light Novel or something, but i've got to finish writing my thesis first. thanks!

 

Oh nice, if you don't mind, could you share it with us? Or a least a little blurred on what it's about?

 

It would be easy to do a light novel, but that would kill the spirit -- also, I've bad experiences with light novels.

My driving hatred for light novels lies in anime, and not the source material itself.. but, I won't get into that.

 

I would suggest people to stay away from the forum community there, mainly because there are so many trolls and random A-holes people somehow seem to love.
You have a guy who's posts consist mainly of insults using "f*ck" and "c*nt" that get's tons of attention, then you get the unknown forum regular who is nice but largely ignored.

Haha! Wow! There for five months and you already had enough. Can't say I blame you though. Seeing that everywhere, non stop kills the fun. I just find it funny that it took mii five months to realise the site had a forum. I never use it anyway. So you're one up on mii .

 

I never use the forum. I tend to stay away from inevitable cancer.

Absolutely, but I'm completely lacking in the patience and skill necessary for it. If I were to make one, it would probably be about the story of my long-running D&D campaign.

 

Could always do it Bakuman style... haha!
