Godzilla Steps Up In The Latest King Of The Monsters Trailer
"Up from the depths, thirty stories high, his head in"... No, we're not going with that reference, because that way lies Godzooky. Also, madness. Instead, point your eyeballs at the new trailer for Godzilla: King Of The Monsters.

Scored to a version of Somewhere Over The Rainbow which becomes increasingly epic, this "final" look at King Of The Monsters goes big on the giant creature action, as the monstrous Titans – beasties that strolled around the Earth long before humanity arrived to start despoiling it – have now returned, seemingly lured by a new alpha in the form of King Ghidorah. The three-headed bruiser plus the likes of Mothra and Rodan are wreaking havoc, with humanity largely just trying to avoid becoming collateral damage.

The Monarch organisation is trying to figure out a way to save us all, and the answer might just be unleashing the Big G. Yes, Godzilla, who'll have to take on the reigning champ. "Let them fight," as Ken Watanabe's Dr. Ishiro Serizawa might say.

Director Michael Dougherty has pressed Godzilla's Watanabe back into service alongside a returning Sally Hawkins, while also rounding up Millie Bobby Brown, Kyle Chandler, Vera Farmiga, O’Shea Jackson Jr, Charles Dance, Bradley Whitford and more to react to giant monster combat.

Godzilla: King Of The Monsters crashes onto UK screens on 29 May.
