The official blog for the Girls und Panzer anime franchise announced last Friday that the film will screen on a total of 153 theaters starting on May 21, adding 38 theaters to the film's ongoing run. In addition, the film will once again be available in 4DX in selected theaters, after having just ended 4DX screenings on May 1.

The film opened in Japan last November, and it ranked #38 in the top 39 highest grossing Japanese domestic films of 2015 (tied with Grasshopper). The film began its first screenings in 4DX on February 20. The film began ULTIRA screenings with higher video and sound quality in early May.

As of April 24, the film has sold 1,144,720 tickets for a total of 1,912,179,484 yen (about US$17.23 million). The film has been in theaters for 27 weeks.

The film will ship on DVD and Blu-ray Disc on May 27, and the release will come with a new OVA that will take place after the events of the movie, as well as an episode of the "Akiyama Yukari no Sensha Kōza" (Yukari Akiyama's Tank Lecture) shorts.
