I do this too although with stuff I rate even lower, the way I see it it is better to watch crap once weekly than when someone raves about it later on saying it is the best. My personal examples are girls und panzer [which many others seemed to love for the moe] and zetsuen no tempest [it just was so boring to me, and then it turned into a badly written romance series where no one wanted to confess while revolving around one hell of a paradox and what was supposed to be magical battles]

As for this coming season, crap it looks like I'll be swamped again as I wanted to watch

Zetsuen boring?



To me it was rather boring as well. It started out really strong and then just kind of degraded as it went on.

 

Yeah Zetsuen was really boring to me, premise and PV made it look like it would be about supernaturally powered fights and murder and other good adult themes. Instead what we got was some powers, a lot of nothing with long discussions, development, and then romance stuff until the final episode. I lost interest fast in that series, I think after 4 eps I was going to drop it but persevered, then 13 ep mark I was sad to see it continue I really just wanted it over.
Also it was a shakespeare based plot, since I didn't research that ones plot and had no knowledge I was hoping it would be one where most of the main cast died in the end, so disappointing it didn't happen.
Best part of the show was that first op Spirit Inspiration by Nothing's Carved in Stone [same band that did Kingdom's op and Psycho Pass's 2nd op] and then they went and changed the opening to some piece of slow shit.....

Yeah definitely not a fan, I gave it a 3

@sporadic, Because of my example above, I trust fellow members opinions so I watch what some of you recommend to me [I do have my limits for what to listen to]. If I stop partway through a series that everyone some said was quite good [again my example being zetsuen] then that'd make me curious and have to complete it. Personally I find it much easier finishing stuff one episode a week so it isn't as mind numbing of an experience as lets say marathoning it afterward. I would have dropped Zetsuen around ep 5, so thats still 19 eps to try and watch after I would guess probably Ovyda's and Bato's recommending it.
It just comes down to preference I guess.

@Noobs, what about Kill la Kill? from the creators of gurren lagann, should be good.
