Explode into space with the Ice Age: Collision Course trailer
You would be forgiven for feeling a little hard done by when you watch the first trailer for the fifth Ice age film, Collision Course. Because far from offering something completely fresh, it’s essentially just an edit of the Scrat short that showed in front of Snoopy And Charlie Brown: The Peanuts Movie and was online right here. Still, take a look if you can’t get enough of the acorn-obsessed little critter.

Scrat is once again at the core of the big problem for our furry heroes as his usual pursuit of the elusive acorn sends him roaring into space via a buried ship (don’t ask) which then puts the rest of planet Earth in peril from a giant asteroid. So Sid (John Leguizamo), Manny (Ray Romano), Diego (Denis Leary) and their associated friends and family, must strike out on a quest to save everyone, heading to exotic new lands and, of course, meeting some new characters.

There’s a typically big returning roll call of voices from the previous four instalments including Queen Latifah, Seann William Scott, Josh Peck, Simon Pegg, Keke Palmer, Wanda Sykes, and Jennifer Lopez, and the new arrivals feature Stephanie Beatriz, Adam DeVine, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Max Greenfield, Jessie J, Nick Offerman, Melissa Rauch, and physicist Neil deGrasse Tyson.

Ice Age: Collision Course is out in the UK on July 15.
