OOT: There is Black writing so you might have to put your brightness up
"For 3 weeks?"
"Yes."
Zed is shocked, he starts thinking, No it can't be 3 weeks already, i just came to the prison, something is wrong very wrong. Zed looks around the cell, its like your standard cell with the bars at the front to see the hallway. Zed gets up and walks to the bars he looks outside, he sees nothing just darkness. A dark void is surrounding the jail cell.
"hmph, Im still in a dream i see."
Zed turns around to face Ashely, She has green hair and her eyes, her eyes were deep purple. Zed still staring at her became lost into her eyes, he was drawn to her, her eyes which was shrouded in darkness made him curious. He wanted to know more, he wanted, to be engulfed in darkness. Zed starts losing his vision and before he loses it he sees Ashely smile one lost time.

Zed, floating around in a sea of darkness, is lost and can not be found. Zed sees what looks like a another person perspective, he's walking with someone, a girl that looks a year younger then him. The girl starts running ahead the details of what she looks like is blurry Zed can't make out what she looks like, the girl says
"Brother come on! Lets hurry!"
"Hey, don't rush!"
"Come on! I wanna get to school early for once!"
"Well you don't have to rush me, go on ahead i think i see your friends."
"O really!? Hey guys wait up!"
The boy looks at the girl run ahead to her friends.
"Wait is this my memory?"
The boy walks forward looking at the girl talking to her friends.
"Is this what you really want?"
The boys eyes open, he looks behind him. No one, no one is there.
"Brother! Come on, Were gonna be late!"
"Yea Im coming."
The boy walks forward looking at the girl and her friends rush to school, he looks back and hears
"YOUR SISTER WILL DIE!"

 

OOT:Gonna start using colors to Identify my characters
Light slowly enters his eyes as he slowly rouses himself from his deep sleep. The drugs that put him under must have been heavy. He had been asleep for 28 hours. First thought: He was starving. Some doctors came in handed him some food. Locks stood up can walked through the halls of the lab. To think hes working for them now. The same people who had captured him were now bosses. Locks walked into a room with silver, smooth walls. Standing there was a girl about his age and the man in white.
The girl was an average height, normal weight, long aburn hair, and blue eyes.
"Ahh Locks. Glad you could join us. About that personality wipe, we couldn't completely eliminate all traces of him from you. .You still have a tiny bit of that pesky humanity, you also wont crave as much murder shame isn't it. Also this is Jess she will be your partner. She also agreed to help us. Finally that name you gave me... Just call me doctor I hate my real name.", Said the Doc.
The girl approached him, "Hey I'm Jessica but just call me Jess."
She stuck out her hand for locks to shake. When there hands met Jess tried to flip him onto the ground. Quickly chains shot from the ground and pryed her grip open.
"Good reflexes but you rely too much on your power. Now I know what your is but you don't know mine."
Locks looked to the doctor and said, "I like this one."
The doctor smiled and said, "Good, Because from this point on you two are a team."
Several images flashed onto the screen.
"These are the faces of the escapees from a few days ago. Leah, Zach, and this third one. The nameless ones records were destroyed in there escape and the brass executed the doctor without questioning him."
"So were hunting a teenage girl, some random dude, and some guy that looks like he has rabies."
"Not exactly, but you were close on the third one. Your hunting a girl that can create black holes, a random dude who can manipulate metal, and the guy who looks like he has rabies is a wolfman."
"Sounds fun!:
"You have a lot of work ahead of you we have no idea where any of them are. Our guess is the people that helped them escape were from a rebel group of experiments. Hunt them down. Don't engage. Once you find them use this."
The Doctor tossed him a pen.
"Its a gps. Once you click it it'll send out a beacon and we will rush in."
"Oh I never told you my power. I mess with minds. You know read them and stuff. I cant control minds but i can levitate stuff. I need more practice but ill get the hang of it."
"Ok your free to do as you please. Try to get some sleep though you start tomorrow."
"So Locks what you want to do we got a few hours?"
"Hey Doc. You got anything to do around here?"
"I don't know. Go walk around, get to know each other. Oh I never did anything social as a child your asking the wrong man."
After an hour or so they found they had similar interests. They talked about where to search first tomorrow. They would check the ware house district the slums then the docks. After that they ate and went to bed.
OOT:Jess is also somone i dont want to die.

 

"I saw the message, but...I wasn't sure what you meant by it. I'm sorry" Leah sighed and looked down at the floor of the boat "I'm so confused"
I see, so she didn't get it under-control merely out of panic mode. Hmm how do i explain this...... "It's alright, besides now i can actually talk to you and show you what i meant"
I tun my hand palm up and *FWOOSH* a fireball appears floating in my hand
"I made this, by focusing with my power. I discovered i could do this and found a way to focus my thoughts and they just appear. It's the same with how I managed to get us back to the boat before the others. I just think Move and jets appear under my feet, Fire and i get these to send out. But that's my power, Pyrokinesis. Yours may take something more complicated, but for now think about focusing your mind. If you can get a clear goal or idea maybe you can control your power"
After explaining what i meant to Leah I hear Zach say something “Hey guys, I found something rather interesting on this gun. This was used to try and stop us, and I have an idea as to why it works against our abilities. I’m not 100% sure on this, I need to analyze it further, but I noticed blood in a little slot on this gun. The bullets also have a trace of the blood in it. This also relates to the info I stole. I think that our blood has something to do with why we were experimented on.”

(OOT: Ver don't take this as an attack but Frost just isn't the Friendliest)
A gun that used Blood? that would just drain the user with each shot, more a leech than an offensive boost. Frost is the first to bring up her thoughts
"Are you sure the gun runs on blood? You said you picked it from a guard and it has blood on it.... even consider that their blood just Sept into it. A gun can be taken through mud, water, sand, and others and have remains within the gun...... Unless the gun was taken directly from a guard there is a chance it was in a pool of blood. If so then the gun is like any other just blood soaked. As for our blood..." Frost got quite and i stepped in before she did to him what she had done to me previously
"What Frost means is not to take everything at face value. As for our blood, in my case it was more my genes, my hair to be precise. I was able to read my Doctors files and all the subjects in my project had red hair like my self." I explain defusing Frost while supporting Zach's idea.
"However, just because my project required red hair doesn't mean all did right? same could be said about the blood, until we know more we can't say one way or another" As i bring the conversation to a halt, I find we are back at Kras. I head into the house as the others follow, as we get into the house Atlas says something.

"Alright, we are at Kras City. Now new comers time to Join the Resistance, it's either that or make it on your own in the city. Your choice but just remember, we don't want anyone who does want to fight back against the labs, against those who did this to us. It's still early in the day so I'll give you till the evening to decide"
"And not to guilty trip but, do remember: What would have happened if we weren't there?"
Both Atlas and Echo address the group, Giving them the option to try out on their own or join as i had. Hell Echo used the same trick Frost did, but he did it... well... More casually, more as a 'hey you know' than the forceful way Frost had.

 

"Alright, we are at Kras City. Now new comers time to Join the Resistance, it's either that or make it on your own in the city. Your choice but just remember, we don't want anyone who does want to fight back against the labs, against those who did this to us. It's still early in the day so I'll give you till the evening to decide"

The whole thing about fighting against the labs did sound interesting, but Zach had a feeling that they did not know what their opponent had. The information he hacked and the files that were under the highest security gave him reason to believe that there was more than just the lab they had to be worried about, and he also felt a bit uneasy with some of the group, Frost especially.

(OOT, nothing against Frost, but it may take Zach a bit to warm up to her)

But if Zach wanted answers to why they were chosen as experiments, he had no choice. That and he could also get proper equipment to analyze these bullets, and find out why they worked against their abilities. The other thing that concerned him was the effects the bullets had on their blood, because blood seemed to be a key thing in all of this.

“Alright, I guess I will join with this resistance. But let me make one thing clear, I am not fighting back against them blind. I want to know the stuff you know about the labs, and any other information you can find. I also figure that if we are going against them, then you all need to hear the information I hacked, because that will help us to fight against them better. Yes, I know that it may not be my place to say any of this, but the better prepared we are to fight them, the better chances we have of survival.”

 

His head was getting emptier and emptier by the second, his memories melting.
His lips peeled back over his teeth in a snarl at the sight of the gun, his instincts still telling him it meant trouble.
When Leah started to panic, his hackles raised on his back and his mouth opened in a feral bark, bloodstained teeth dripping just a little, looking like he would savage anyone that tried to touch him.

 

“Alright, I guess I will join with this resistance. But let me make one thing clear, I am not fighting back against them blind. I want to know the stuff you know about the labs, and any other information you can find. I also figure that if we are going against them, then you all need to hear the information I hacked, because that will help us to fight against them better. Yes, I know that it may not be my place to say any of this, but the better prepared we are to fight them, the better chances we have of survival.”
"Ah we got one but lets wait on explaining, no sense repeating the same story twice and we don't want to give our info to someone who doesn't want to join"
As Atlas finished speaking to Zach Leah said something
"D-Do we have to fight them? I mean, I don't know how to fight and... I don't want to fight unless I have to, but I don't want to be left alone in the city. W-what if, if they hurt me?"
After saying this Leah's eyes were looking at the gun Zach was holding, suddenly they became wide and she spoke
"no"
After saying this she backed up into the wall, she started to shake and was hyperventilating
"...She finally realized it.... They Lied, they lied to her"
"Huh, What do you mean Frost?"
"She put it together, whatever lie they told her didn't add up to why they had to have guns... Our display of powers probably didn't do her any favors either.."
The wolfman then stared to snarl, it seems he was looking at the gun.
"Zach" Echo called his attention and mouthed something to him
Get Rid of The Gun
Seems Echo is trying to defuse the situation, I need to try and calm Leah down.

A walk to the door Leah is leaning on and try to talk to her
"Try to take deep breathes, everything is going to be alright. You aren't going to be alone, Look there" I point to the wolfman, who is now eyeing me while snarling and showing his teeth.
"Just by his reaction looks like he's very protective of you, I'm sure he'll follow you where ever. Also think for a second, Zach and Logan have been trying to help you since you were in the labs. You won't be alone, and if you join you'll definitely won't be alone" Having covered the easy part of my speech i move to a more delicate matter, the fighting.
"As for not knowing how to fight....we can help you." I say hesitantly
"And....when you do know how to fight..... how to use your power, you won't have to worry about being hurt. I don't know what you have been through but your power won't be a bad thing. Without mine, i wouldn't have been ab;e to help you guys, and if Frost and them didn't have theirs they wouldn't have been able to save me" I end my speech hoping it calms Leah down, if i remember from the labs her power, The ability to create black holes, went out of control at the labs because she panicked. If that were to happen here......

 

"Zach" Echo called his attention and mouthed something to him

Get Rid of The Gun


Zach looked at the gun. It seemed that whatever the bullets in this gun were, as well as the guns themselves, had a role in all of this. He needed a way to find out more about this whole situation, but it seems that only time would allow him to do this. Zach then looked over at Leah, and she was terrified, and he also saw the wolf man was snarling at the gun Zach was holding. Fine, but I’m not getting rid of the bullets, they hold answers, and I’m finding them one way or another. Zach emptied the bullets from the gun, and put them in his pocket. He then tossed to gun out of sight of any of them.

“By the way, one thing that you should know is that our blood does play a role in our abilities. I don’t know if any of the blood on the bullets has anything to do with it, but these bullets were able to damage my arm, even though it had iron on it. I remember a guard saying that the bullets were designed to counter our abilities, so that is why I’m interested in them. As for the rest of the information I know, when everyone has decided what they will do, I will tell you all then. Also, try to keep Leah calm, because she is key to all of this, and we don’t need her ability going off anytime soon.”

Zach went to another room in the house, and closed the door. He was getting so frustrated at the fact that he couldn’t find the answers to his questions. His scientist background had him questioning the situation, but at the same time, he felt like his compassionate side was fading away. His pounded his fist against the wall. He felt helpless, and the fact that he knew what was going on, but didn’t know what to do angered him even more.

“Damn it! What good are my abilities, if I can’t even find the answers I need.” Zach yelled in anger. He the lay on the floor, closed his eyes, and started drifting into unconsciousness

 

The darkness in the corner of the room looked inviting, and he skulked over to the shadows, crouching and hidden. His pale eyes could be seen, analysing and viewing the chatter of the other fleshlings.
His eyes looked... hungry.

Hatsuda had entered the main complex of the island compound belonging to Nall Aberline and was waiting nervously for the great scientist to see him.
"Come in."
Hatsuda gulped and stepped forwards.

The room was bleak. None of the luxuries of wealth, not even a carpet. The room was bare-bones. There was only a chair and a table in the middle of it. At that table sat Nall Aberline.
He raised an eyebrow.
"Now, why would you feel the need to come here in person, Hatsuda, unless you were here to report an either astounding success, or a catastrophic failure?"
Hatsuda would rather be facing down a pack of angry wolves than be having this conversation right now, but he swallowed hard and just spat it out.
"Sir... there... there was a colossal breach in containment. All across the board. It's insane. Corporate sabotage, possibly by a rival industry..."
He gave up pontificating and hung his head.
"They're out, sir. The experiments are loose."
"All of them?"
"...Pretty much, sir. There are only one or two contained, and even then they are either there voluntarily or the breaches haven't spread that far."
He expected to be yelled out of the room. He expected to have strips torn off him, shredded to bits, his entire career and future work prospects reduced to nothing.
Instead, he finally managed, after a deafening silence, to look up at Nall - and saw him smiling genially.
"Well, I have to admit, it took balls to come and tell me. I would never have found out otherwise. Honesty is the best policy, as they say. Well done for that, Hatsuda."
Hatsuda's heart swelled with pride. "Thank you sir, I knew it was the right decision."
"And I don't blame you for the escaping experiments," Aberline went on. "After all, you could have done absolutely nothing about the viruses, biological and technological, that I inserted into the guards and systems."
"Thank you," Hatsuda said gratefully, "I'm glad you're not pinning this all on me sir, you really are -"
Then he stopped as his brain fully just registered what he had heard.

"...Y...You inserted...?"
"Yes," Nall said pleasantly. "I inserted a unpleasant little biotoxin in the supplies heading out to every single lab. Every drink and scrap of food supplied to guards and scientists featured a little concoction that slowed down their thought processes, made them sluggish and slow, heightened feelings such as panic, pain, and fear, and made them, in short, highly susceptible to making crucial mistakes. Now, that alone wouldn't have toppled the facilities, and that would be why I inserted other little beautiful worms and scourers and recoders into the computer systems. Facts that would have been crucial to the containment of experiments were erased and rewritten. Things any clearly-headed man would have noticed were completely buried, and stayed that way. I couldn't have kept the system completely foolproof, otherwise we wouldn't be where we are today. I'm just surprised it happened so fast - some experiments had only just commenced. Must have simply been too unfair on them."

Hatsuda suddenly became horrifyingly aware that no-one else knew he was on this island.
"S-sir, you... you let them out?"

Nall's smile didn't drop. "Take your time, digest it as slowly as you like. I did say honesty was the best policy."
Hatsuda felt like he was going to vomit. "All those dead guards... scientists... innocent men and women... All dead because you're insane..."
Nall looked affronted. "Insane?! My dear Hatsuda, I assure you, I'm completely lucid. I am fully aware of the consequences of my actions and I am fully aware of the damage I have caused. However, I am not exactly in a position to care."
Hatsuda's petrifying fear gave way to sudden righteous anger.
"YOU'RE COMPLETELY INSANE!? WHY SABOTAGE A PROJECT YOU YOURSELF COMMISSIONED!?" he found himself yelling.
Nall's eyebrow raised again. "I beg your pardon? I never commissioned Project Experimentals."
Hatsuda stormed forwards, feeling very much inclined towards punching him. "How can you say that!? I've seen copies of the dossier, your name's on the front! Nall Howard Aberline!"
"My dear man," Nall said innocently.

"Whoever said I was Nall Aberline?"

Hatsuda froze in his tracks. "W-what?"
"The fact is," Nall's mouth said as his body rose, "I have been inhabiting this form for long enough. It has proven a very useful body and one, I must admit, I have grown fond of. But, you men and your extra parts between your legs is so very... squick. I do sincerely regret I must take yet ANOTHER male host, but unfortunately I must through necessity."
Hatsuda's legs were now backpedalling very fast, but the thing inside Nall's body hit a button under the desk and the only exit from the room slammed shut and a click announced it's sealing.
"I can't use this body in public, too much attention. And besides..."
Hatsuda's mouth fell open and he gibbered helplessly in terror as Nall's fingernails started to peel back, like can lids. Crimson... worms, slimy veiny PULSING bloody worms oozed out from the new raw holes, and Nall's body was now moving towards him, his hands reaching up to his face -

Hatsuda reached up to try and wrest Nall's... the thing's... WHATEVER THE HELL IT WAS's hands away, but it's grip was iron and unrelenting. The worms slid wetly up Hatsuda's cheeks until their featureless heads touched his lower eyelid.

"I always had a thing for Asian men."

Hatsuda started screaming as the worms started to push into his eye sockets, pushing the eyes around. His vision started getting hazy, but that was the least of his worries. His throat already becoming hoarse from the screaming, he attempted to try and punch and kick Nall's body away from him - only for Nall's body to crumple under the impact, like a blow-up doll with a small hole in it. The hands remained solid, though - and something was happening to his head. As the worms pushed deeper and deeper, he could feel his brain... MOVING.
His vision went numb, his eyes went blind, and then he felt a sensation unlike any other - the feeling of something large moving into his mouth, but not through his throat. It came DOWN into his mouth, and it tasted horrible, it was sticky and gooey and...

The last thing Hatsuda Goshida ever saw and felt was the sensation of vomiting his own brain onto the floor.

A few moments later, his "new and improved" brain kicked in and he sat up. The first thing Throne did was check her new body out.
"Mmm... bit flabby, not very blessed downstairs, but oh, the mind tasted good. So now I know all the locations, and poor old Nall Aberline is dead for good. Stage one complete, I suppose. Now then."
Hatsuda stepped over the body of the thing that had overseen her creation and walked out of the compound back to the boat he'd arrived on.
The driver squinted at him.
"Mr Goshida? You look... different."
Throne smiled with Hatsuda's mouth. "Oh, I might. But I feel better than ever. Now let's get back to the mainland. Those rogue experiments aren't going to recapture themselves..."

 

"Zed. . . . ZED! . . . . ZED!"
"Who is that?"
"You ha-. . . . to wak-. . . ."
"Sis?"
"Wake up! You have t-. . . . up!"
"What did you say?"
"Wake up! Please Brother!"
Zed eyes open, his eyes are white now, their not red. He leans forward, puts his feet on the ground and looks at the floor saying in pain
"ugh. . . . my head."
"Brother. . . ."
Zeds eyes widen he looks up and moves his head to the left, Vi is sitting there shocked, probably because Zeds eyes are back to normal.
"Who are you?"
"Don't you remember?"
"Are you. . . . the police officer?"
"Yes i am, i was taking you to your cell and all of a sudden you fainted."
Zed gets up, his legs shaking, his mind racing. He starts remembering what he did to the scientist, how he was asking questions, why he was being taken to the prison and also that memory.
"Hey, Vi."
"Yes?"
"What am i?"
". . . . . . ."
Zed looks at the ground, for a few moments he gets up and looks at the room.
"Wait where am i? Im not in my cell."
"Well, your in the interrogation room."
Zed looks around the room, a square shape room with a one way window and a door near it. Zed looks around even more and sees a sign on the wall, for some odd reason its blurry. Zed looks at it harder, still not making out the words.
"Vi, what does that sign say?"
"What sign?"
Zed turns around and looks at Vi with an anxious look
"The sign on the wall."
"Theres no sign Zed."
"No it can't be."
Zed looks back at the sign and looks at it harder, he blinks and when he opens his eyes. His in another dimension, still in the interrogation room but Vi is just sitting there frozen, when zed looks back at the sign
*Stab*
"eh. . . ."
"LET ME GIVE YOU A PUSH."
Nocturne push's Zeds body, Zeds body starts falling down with a agonising look
"So Im going to die, right here?"
"heheheh, Good bye Zed."
"Well it seems like my life was pointless."
"DON'T BE SO FOOLISH!"
As Zeds body is falling back going to hit the floor, his eyes change from white to Red, Dead shot red eyes. Nocturne staring at Zed falling is shocked
"Im not going to die here!"
Zed goes into his shadow, the shadow moves to the door and Zed comes out of it. Nocturne dashes to Zed, a blade Nocturne is holding shines and glimmers as he lunges his arm at Zed, as he comes out of his shadow. Zed smiles and says
"Are you sure you looking at me?"
Nocturne blinks and sees what he is about to stab is a metallic wall, He turns around and sees Zed about to punch him. Zed moves forward and does a right job on Nocturnes face, Nocturne is sent flowing
"Tell me, are you Nocturne?"

 

"What did he mean by me being the key. I don't understand"
Leah took another deep breath to keep herself from panicking again
"I want to join you but I don't know if I will be able to fight"
she looked at everyone around the room
"They all have special abilities and I haven't a clue what mine is, I would be useless to everyone"
"It will be fine, we learn as we go, as for your power I........questioned...... your doctor before leaving that message for you he said your power was to control and create black holes. As for what zach meant we'll have to ask him"
As i explain this Atlas speaks
"Alright that's two, I'm assume dog-boy over there agrees so just need to know if you are in lad?" He looks over at Logan who nods
"Well we can get down to business now, Blaze go get Zach,. He wanted the info so badly but didn't even wait"
I go over and talk to Zach
"Hey we are about to do the briefing, come on if you want to hear"
I walk back into the room with everyone and Zach follows behind me

"Okay, well me tell you who we are Blaze you can tune this out if you want but we do have info we haven't told you. Firstly I'm Atlas, Leader of this Resistance squad and overall leader of the Resistance it's self"
"I'm Echo, I run tact and com thanks to my ability, I'll be briefing you on the city shortly"
"I'm Frost..... and for now all you need to know is don't get in my way or piss me off....ask Blaze what happens if you do"
Seems they gave formal designations this time. Despite hearing who they were i never bothered to ask if there was a ranking or anything along those lines. I decide to pay close attention to the speech
"Our job is to fight against the labs and hopeful destroy or cripple the project entirely. However constant attacks would only prove to draw a lot of attention and our extermination, so we have to use guerrilla tactics"
"We lack the current man-power/abilities to finish the labs so this is our only option. But as each day, each fight or mission passes we gain more intel and discover new ways or uses of our powers. No one has their power completely figured out.....and besides if you did, that means your already at the end of your rope should someone stronger come along"
"However we can't very well just sit by wait on the next time to strike, which brings us to the first house rule. Everyone does something to earn their keep. This isn't a shelter for free loaders"
"Ah yes Blaze you'll want to listen up on this one, to actually make ends meet and earn money in this city we've become a fishing crew. It's only a cover so we have boat access but we are one of the few who has this sort of freedom. And to maintain that freedom we have to catch fish and bring in a haul, which truth be told Echo and I bring in enough fish to feed the entirety of Kras in a single day"
"But given that we are given 'Krin', the city's fake money in return for this we would only fund our enemies as they sell what the city doesn't eat as profit. So we turn in what we have to in order to pay rent and freeze or ship the fish out as rations for the Resistance or the rest of the slums"
"Speaking of rations you'll get one piece of bread and a bowl of fish stew as a meal and have 2 meals a day, don't like it then don't eat it"
They explain the cover of a fishing crew and what we need to do in order to keep the cover and still operate as the Resistance. Echo then gets up and puts on a strange metal glove. It has a parabolic lens on it and wires running all over the place, he points it at the floor while raising other hand up touching a metal rod leading to the roof. A faint ping could be heard in the room, then what appeared before me surprised me, a 3d lay out of what looks like a city.
"This, is Kras. Echo can send out faint pings of sound, acting as a radar/sonar and allows him to see the city"
"I managed to scrape together this device to display the city, It's a hell of alot easier than drawing the maps my hand"
"He will give you a run down about the city while i'll point out what he is talking about"
"Okay, were to start? Ah Atlas show them where we are on this map"

Atlas points to a small little port section on the massive 3d map. Looking at it made me realize just how big of a place we are dealing with. It extended on and on with almost no end until it reached a point where i had what looked like a wall. I also noticed something out in the watery part of the display, it looked like drilling platforms and at the opposite edge of the city there was a part of a building displayed.
"Hey, I've got a few questions. What's with that wall near the far side of the display? Why are there multiple drill platform out at sea. And whats that in the water?' I ask voicing my notice of these thing.
"What do scientists do to keep their rats from escaping.......they make a cage"
At Frost words i remembered, Kras was built as a holding area of course they would make a wall, and the Drill platforms are actually...
"As for the platforms they are apart of a defense grid, no one gets in unless permitted and no one gets out"
"And that building in the corner lad, well where did you escape from?"
With Atlas telling me this it puts the city's size into perspective, we we are miles out from the labs by sea and we can barely see them on the map, yet in person they extended on endlessly. But can see all of Kras City, no it would be more appropriate to call it Kras County or even Sate at this size.
"So got any questions so far, or are we good to continue with the briefing? We still haven't even covered City districts, the money system, and curfew yet"
My jaw drops at the words coming from Atlas's mouth. There is still more?! just how in the dark did they have been, did they expect me to learn this on my own or was i suppose to ask all this!?!?!?

 

“Well, that gives me a good perspective on what is going on with this place. I have a background in microbiology, and when I was studying a project on cell communication, we used cages for the rats that we studied, so this makes sense. Although I have a feeling that since we managed to escape, the lab will be sending reinforcements to capture us, and I will fight back to keep from going back in there.”

“As for the information I stole, this could take a while. Each of us has an ability that is unique, and only we can use it. The reason; and why I was so concerned with the blood that was on the bullets, is because our blood was used to create our abilities. We were all chosen at random, and a faulty vaccine was injected into us. Our blood contains a genetic sequence that is unique, no other cell in our body has it, and it is this sequence that helped to create our abilities. But it does have one major flaw, and I have a feeling that those bullets have something to do with this. The genetic code in blood has one common gene, a very small sequence that can be countered by another protein, and this is true for all blood cells. When my arm was hit by the bullet, it started corroding, and did major necrosis, or death of tissue. I have a feeling that if the bullets have this protein in them, then that is why they can counter our abilities. Our abilities are a result of the vaccine interacting with our blood, so that is why we have them.”

Zach then looked at Leah. “The reason why Leah is they key in all of this is because of her ability. She can create black holes, as well as cancel out any of our abilities. It is not permanent, but it would be enough to severely cripple us if that happened. The lab was trying to find a way to use her blood as a weapon, and they were going to try and militarize it as well.”

“The information I managed to gather about the lab itself is that it is an underground lab, with a façade of being a marketing business. The experiments performed on us were of course illegal, but because of the billion dollar company, they were able to keep it quiet and out of any suspicious eyes. I’m not fully sure what we can do to stop them, but I will help in any way. I also want to help Leah understand her abilities better, so that she can use them and not be afraid, and also help us as well.”

 

"Yo Jess you ready to head out?"
"Locks its the middle of the night were not supposed to leave until morning."
"The Doc. wants us to head out now. Lets go."
Jess changes into a new set of cloths and they sneak out into the night.
"Oh Jess here take this."
He hands her a small ID card with her face on it
" If any guards try to apprehend you just show them this. This card gives us top level clearance. Those guards listen to us. Also keep it well hidden We cant have anyone but us and the guard see them."
"Sweet. So were checking the slums the ware houses and then the docks. Right?"
"Yep. Lets move out."
After a good amount of walking and several guard encounters they made it to the slums. They had a made sure most of the guards clear out of the area, they couldn't flash their cards with the other experiments around. They searched all the houses in the slums but none of the faces matched the recent escapees faces. They did bust a few escapees. A few teens and a older man, they just flashed the signal and guards swarmed the place. All witnesses had they're memory of the last 10 mins wiped. No one had seen their faces. This same process went over at the ware houses. Finally they had made it to their last location. The ports. They checked a few buildings, searched a few boats and found nothing. They were about to search another building when Jess tripped into a boat setting off a loud alarm.*ERRRR *ERRRR *ERRRR Anyone in the area would here that. No guards would come but anyone was probable to. They either were about to find their targets or completely of screwed up everything.

 

I listened to what Zach had to say. Some of it made sense, after all before escaping an encounter a chopper armed with a defensive shield that blocked my attacks. And if what the doctor said was true it would block all attacks that are power based. But there was one thing that ate at me: "Each of us has an ability that is unique, and only we can use it" If this was true then how did he become the 235th person to have pyrokinesis? Also how was it he was able to copy moves from the files of preivous subjects in his project and Frost her self if her power was unique? As i was thinking this Atlas Echo and Frost all responded.
"Hmmm bullets that counter our powers eh? Hadn't really had a problem with bullets before as they just bounce of my skin. But we shouldn't worry too much about it after all the troops here are expecting normal people"
"I'll keep a ear out for coms from the labs sending out any forces, this isn't the first time they have sent a hunt for us. And it won't be the last either"
"Your info is wrong..... Do you honestly think that a single person has a power no-one else has? If that where so they wouldn't dare kill any of us for fear of losing that unique power.... The situation at hand though is they kill off people at the drop of a hat, we aren't precious, we are a dime a dozen in their eyes. They can just keep testing till some else shows they have pyrokinesis, or metal manipulation, or any power they want to test. You were not the first to show up with you power, nor will you be the last....trust me i know personally on this matter..."
I am shocked by Frost attack on Zach's info, i go to speak "How do you know..." "LAD" "Blaze DON'T"
Both Atlas and Echo stop me before i finish my sentence, seems by their reaction i almost crossed a line of no return on that subject...... I them add in some info i know of to help support Zach's
"I'm not sure of the weapons canceling our powers but i do know they have a shielding system. I encountered it on a chopper before i jumped into the ocean"
"Ah looks like they made ole Omni machine portable"
"Old Omni?"
"That's the name we have given the Omnishield. The shield that cancels all powers usage, so far they olny managed to fit in on large structures such as the wall of the platforms out to sea"
As Echo explained that we started into the rest of the briefing. There is a curfew out on the districts such as the markets, utilities and others however the slums aren't one of them. They explained that we won't to be able to go outside this district until we get fitting clothes as our current attire made us stand out as from either outsiders or from the labs. Now we come to our current problem.....

"We don't have enough rooms"
"Yep, we only had one spare and that has now become Leah's as see has passed out in it"
"That was mine..."
"Hmmmmm well lads and lasses guess it's time to get used to roommates"

Trying to avoid this terrible situation i remember some thing.
"Wait a minute we have plenty of room in the ware house"
"You want to sleep in there?"
"Well no but i have an idea as to make it bearable atleast. You remember all those steel beams lying around?"
"Yea Atlas leaves them stuck in the ground all the time, whats your point....oh wait i think i know what your getting at"
"I was thinking: if i could melt the steel, Echo using the sound to vibrate it into even spacing, Frost re-cooling it into sheets and Atlas lifting the sheets into place we could make makeshift rooms"
"That could work..."
"Hmmmm sounds good in theory what do you say Atlas want to try it out"
"Might as well, i still don't see why bunkmates wouldn't work"
"maybe because your soo big no one could share the bed with you"
"Ahaaha HET WAIT A MINUTE!"

After melting down all the beams stuck into the ground from the morning training sessions turns out there was only enough for two rooms. This left one person roomless, Leah had taken over my room, Atlas Echo and Frost all had their own to begin with so the ones who could end up roomless were me, Logan and Zach. In the end i decide to let them have the rooms, considering they had all just escaped this morning. Speaking of time it had long since past morning with our briefing and the work on the rooms lead into the night. Roomless i am setting on the bow of the ship staring into the night sky. I feel the cool night air on my skin but feel a sudden chill.
"Blaze.."
"Eh oh hey Frost, what are you doing out here?"
"I should be asking you that"
"I roomless remember, shouldn't you be asleep?"
"...... I can't sleep right now"
Our conversation hits a stopping point, we both remain silent for a bit before i start it back up
"Look at the sky, isn't it wonderful"
"How, it doesn't do anything"
"Well, it doesn't have to. That's the amazing thing about the night sky, it has no purpose, no true function. It's just something to look at, something that can draw your attention and hold it in its beauty and wonder........ kinda....kinda like your eyes...." After saying that i half expect to be frozen or Frost cold nature to come out and assault me with her words. But it doesn't happen
"You.... have the same eyes....."
"Eh? What do you mane?"
"Look"
Frost freezes the air an it forms a reflective water crystal, i use it as a minor. To my surprise she is right, my once blue eyes are now a dance for fire and embers, swirling burning, highs and lows. I then remember that Doctor Toufin too had said my eyes had a 'fire' to them.

*ERRRR* *ERRRR* *ERRRR*
Frost and I immediately go on guard as an alarm goes off.
"Whats going on?"
"Security alarm on a fishing boat. Everyone from around here knows not to mess with the boats so they don't wake everyone when out for night walks or trying to take something. Seeing as the alarm went off i have an idea as to who it was..."
"The Labs?"
"Yea..... probably a set of hunters, we need to get back to the others now"
Both Frost and I rush back to the house and warehouse to get everyone up, between my jet-step and her ice-slide we make it there in under a minute of hearing the alarm

 

He didn't feel comfortable sleeping inside.
So when the sirens went off, he was on the roof, lying prone.
His eyes flickered at the sound of sirens, and he raised his head at the sight of the two fleshlings returning. His hackles slowly rose.

 

"Shit"
"Locks I'm sorry."
"No time for that stick to the plan. We find them take down some info on there abilities and call the labs. Be ready for anything."
"Ok"

 

His hackles stayed up, but then he heard something a lot more interesting than a siren. A scream, coming from below him and to his right. A few choice movements and he slouched into the room with Leah in it, looking curious. He started meandering around the room, examining things, the alarm no longer a part of his attention. He found it difficult to focus on things, his mind just... lost clarity after a few seconds. There was nothing supernatural or strange - relatively speaking - about his nature, just a man with very little in the way of brain matter left. He had no memory, no recollection of anything beyond a week ago, only base instincts and a drive to consume flesh which had been remarkedly subsumed of late, most likely due to the excitement. As that was said, his stomach grumbled and he crawled up to Leah, trying to ask her if she wouldn't mind letting him eat her arm.
"Harrrrr....? Mmnn, nooom noom nom."
