He heard noises beneath him, so he looked down.
"You're waking up! Splendid!"
He held up four fingers on his right hand. "Not sure if you can talk, so here's what we're going to do. Wink with your left eye for how many fingers I'm holding up, and then blink twice in quick succession if you're actually in control of your senses this time around, alright?"

 

"DAHN DAAHHHNN! Im still alive!"
Zed starts blinking, he opens his mouth but he closed it straight away.
"Your not going to ask, how i am still alive?"
"No its probably too complicated for me right now."
"Well then, if thats the case."
Johnny pulls out a knife from his pocket. Zed nudges Mr. Red.
"You take the hit, right?"
Johnny throws his knife, Mr. Red goes in front of the knife and takes the hit to the arm. He grabs the knife and drags it down his arm. He takes the knife out and throws it away, he swings his arm and blood starts flying in the air. Zed starts dashing forward, he puts his shadow on the opposite side of the port. The Elite shoots her canon at Zed, Zed swaps places with his shadow. Mr. Reds blood still flying through the air, as Johnny whips out another knife. The blood goes onto Johnny's knife.
"eeeee yuck, you disgusting freak."
Johnny lifts up his arm to throw his knife. Mr. Red smiles, Johnny throws the knife at Mr. Red, Mr. Red moves his hands and the knife falls to the ground. Johnny notices he only threw it a few meters, he looks back up and sees Zed dashing for him. Zed hears a rifle being fired, he dives into his shadow straight away. Zed backs away from Johnny and comes back out, blood coming out from his left leg. Zed starts limping himself out of his shadow.
"Man, this sucks."
"Well, we can't really do anything with that sniper over there."
"Indeed, we can't."
Zeds vision starts to darken.
"Is it getting darker?"
"No. . . . Let me see your eyes."
Zed looks at Mr. Red jerks back a little. Zeds eyes started to turn black.

 

I was waiting to get poked

Steven Blight was making his way home from the eventful board meeting. The surprise announcement that Leonard is going to have a child was met with mixed reactions. Leonard's former friends stumbled over themselves and went to the presidents side of things. They were the most loyal to the illustrious Batista family, it would come to no surprise they viewed the whole family with utmost respect.

The president agreed to start weapon development under the condition that his grandchild inherits the Plasmium ore. It was a fair deal, it would do away with the potential legal conflict of ousting the president on antitrust laws. Also a child in charge of the ore would allow the company to take charge of operations in their stead. Steven rethought his plan to kill the unborn child.

The payoff was pretty large. If Steven played the part of the unassuming footman of the corporation for a little longer he could be in excellent position to influence this new upstart.
A smile creeped on Steven's face.
I think I'll pay Elisa a little visit and congratulate her. After all, she still doesn't know the truth of what I did. She still believes me to be a friend of Leo.

 

"What the hell?"
"I second that."
"Yeah."
"..."
"Yo Claus care to explain?"

"That would be difficult, since I'm not entirely sure what happened either. I can only tell you what I saw when I came here."
He glanced back towards the door that the others left through.
"While they were testing out their powers, Zach suddenly went berserk and attacked Leah. Something was strange, though...it was as if he wasn't entirely aware of what he was doing, as if he was acting on some sort of instinct."
He lowered his head in thought.
"I wonder...could someone else with an ability have done this to him? Perhaps one of the experiments altered his mind in some way. For right now, we can only guess at what happened to him, but I believe it's safe to say that he wasn't himself."

Zach finally managed to make out his surroundings, and gain his senses back.

“I think I can do a bit better than that. Although why I’m incased in ice, I’m going to guess Frost had something to do with that.” Zach said, noting this person before him

“I haven’t seen you before, so you must be from somewhere else. And since you have been standing there, you probably saw myself and Leah unconscious. That was my fault, I did something that completely went against my morals and promise to her. I attacked her for no reason, and although this may sound weird, but it felt like I had no control over myself when I did. Something took control of my mind, and filled my mind with rage. I don’t know why, but it happened right when I was using another stage of my ability. More than anything else, I hope Leah will be alright.”

 

"I watched."
He cocked his head, making him look like a perturbed salamander. "My codename is Stalk. But you call me Martin. Just you. You tell anyone else my name is Martin, I'll do things that would make Hannibal Lecter vomit. Capiche?"
Before Zach could reply he launched on. "Leah, the girl, seemed to have recovered just fine. I saw where they took her... I was kinda on the roof. If you want, I can see how far I can get you and I before they attempt to beat the living daylights out of us both. Hopefully they have more brain cells than I witnessed on display."

 

"Zach attacked Leah?"
"Things just got interesting."
Jess closed her eyes. She tried to find the thoughts of Zach.
"Hes awake and talking to someone but I cant tell who."
"Probably interrogation."
"Your probably right."
"I'm Felix by the way."

 

Echo, Atlas, and I all followed after Frost into the house. Once inside Echo started making a loud ping, Radio Noise but why? Atlas then speaks
"Pack your things now, we are leaving this place"
"What?"
"He's right it's not safe here anymore. How can we trust that Zach is really on our side, hell any of them are........including you Blaze" as he said this is saw his fist clench, he's about to punch me shit
"Hey wait a minute..."
"Stop" Frost spoke up
"...."
"He has had any number of times to betray us or attack us. He could have even let me die back at the pipeline..... I believe in him..."
Echo un-clenched his fist, seems Frost talked him down.
"Done wasting time on this debate? Get to packing now. Echo send out the abandon signal and have Kuro get over here. Have to disappear without being seen, so teleporting would be easiest"
"Understood"
"Blaze, get fireballs ready"
"Okay..... wait don't tell me"
"Yes"
"She's right, going to have you burn the inside once we are ready to go"
I think about what we are doing now. Up and leaving the others and destroying what we have called home, is this paranoia gone to far or do they have a point. I see Echo go over and hit the booster, no sound is emitted but apparently the signal was sent.
"Brother....where are you?"
Leah spoke in her sleep.
"Shit what do we do about her?"
"Take her with us"
"No, they would follow after"
"....How bout we let her decide? If she does go with us then they couldn't really say anything"
I took the middle ground on the subject as to let her decide what she wanted to do, Frost then spoke
"Leah, wake up"

Meanwhile a signal was been sent....

In a place far from the ports a lovely woman stood up at a sound coming from a strange array in her home
"Ah, so He is abandoning it huh?" She spoke while grabbing a sniper rifle and threw it over her shoulder.
"Come on boys let's get ready, if the took down Atlas's base ours could be next. Let's show them just who the hell we are!"
"Right!"
"Yes Ma'am!"

In and industrial area two girls sat around bored, untill something started coming from their booster Echo created
"Oh look sis"
"Thats...."
After seeing what it was coming throught both of them threw off their bored attuides. Soon a second signal came for them as well
"Kuro let's go"
"Right"
Kuro grabbed Mikos arm and disappeared, teleporting to ports one blink at a time.
"That idiot..... he better be alright, if not i'll.......I'll beat him my self!"
Kuro only shook her head at the mention of a certain idiot. This idiot was experiment like them and often got into childish fights because of Miko's teasing

In an empty house a signal beeped, the occupants weren't there currently but the signal would show up in their log

 

"Fuck, why now?"
*Gulp* "Probably because your fighting too hard?"
Zeds visions starts to darken some more. Johnny starts walking forward, the Elite on the tree comes down and starts walking. Mr. Red looks at both of them.
"We can use it."
"Use what?"
"Use you."
Zed tilts his head. Mr. Red looks at Zed.
"You game?"
*Sigh* "Have nothing else to do, but how do I go berserk?"
"Just fight harder."
"IF WERE DONE TALKING! LETS HAVE SOME FUN!"
Johnny throws his knife at Zed, Zed dives into his shadow. Mr. Red swings his arm, blood comes out. It flies towards Johnny, Zed comes out of his shadow and dashes forward. The elite starts shooting at Zed, he throws his shadow to the other side and he gets hit on the arm. Zeds head starts to hurt, he feels like his going to puke. Zed hears a voice
"Embrace. . . . . . Embrace. . . . . . Show your true self. . . ."
The elite shoots some more, it hits Zed on the leg
"KILL! KILL! KILL! KILL! KILL! KILL! KILL! KILL!"
Zed changes positions with his shadow, Mr. Red starts backing away.
"RIP THEIR BONES APART! BATHE IN THEIR BLOOD! SHOW YOUR TRUE SELF!"
Zed closes his eyes.
"Embrace The Darkness."

 

Claus nodded and replied.
"Felix, you say? I'll have to remember that. If you didn't catch it earlier, my name is Claus. Or at least it has been since I came here...but I think it suits me well enough, so I've kept it."
He looked over to the girl who said that Zach is awake.
"From what you just said, am I to assume that you have some form of telepathy?"

 

When Steven showed up to her bar with that fake smile of his, Elisa was tempted to run away and hide. She never trusted this "friend" of Leo's ever since he came up with the plan to discredit him for her sake.
Steven came up to the bar
"Well well, look who's the lucky lady! Congratulations, I'm sure Leonard would have been so proud!"
"Yes, well... thank you. It's unfortunate things came to the way they had"

Elisa never would have dreamed that Leonard would disappear the way he did. She wanted him to resign from that company in disgrace, not become a missing person. When Steven suggested using fake notes about drug deals she thought it would force Leonard to step down from the company. A desperate plan to get Leo to focus on things closer to home, like her. She never wanted him to get hurt, where could he have gone? What happened to Leo? The cover story about him getting murdered from drug dealers couldn't be true, she forged those notes! Apparently only the president, Steven, and herself know that it was a cover. So what? What happened to Leo? None of them would so much as speak of the matter anymore.

Steven continued blathering about something
"- it's what I always told him. He needed to lightened up on life but the guy just couldn't take it. The disappointment on his father's face must have been too much for him"

"I'm sorry what?" The details of what happened between the sketchy meeting of Leonard and his father was left pretty vague. All she knew was that he left the meeting never to be seen again

"Leo wasn't always himself. We feared about the guy's mental state. It was a mistake letting him wander out of that meeting without an escort. I'm afraid... I'm afraid he may have gotten himself killed in the end after all"

Despite herself, Elisa shivered from the cold feeling in her heart.
I'm so stupid! It's all my fault! I should have left him to his work. Even if it was what kept us apart it was the only thing he lived for and I took it away from him!

Elisa put her hand on her belly. There was no visible signs of pregnancy yet
I'll raise this child for the both of us Leo. It's the least I could do

 

"Yeah I read minds."
"Jess you don't just tell people that."
Jess threw her hands over her mouth.
"Jackson, I have a suggestion."
"Its Locks now Felix."
"Oh that suits you. I think we should leave. I've been here for five minutes and it seems like utter chaos. And from the looks on their faces... they arnt coming back."
"Wow Locks. So are you the only idiot in your family?"
"Ok Felix I'm with you. You guys in too?"
Jess and Jet nodded.
"Sorry Claus this is where we part."
Jet began to create a tornado and Locks grabbed Jess to swing out but Felix butted in.
"I've got this one guys."
Felix touched his owl Hied. It grew in size and strength. Everyone climbed on as the owls belly turned as blue as the sky. They all took off and landed in the woods on the outskirts of the city.

 

Claus made a mental note of what he had just seen and heard.
"Telepathy...wind control...and...whatever that last power was. Did he just make that eagle grow...?"
Muttering to himself, Claus shrugged his shoulders and walked away. He knocked on the door that the others left through and called out to anyone who would listen.
"If anyone is in there, you should be aware that I know Zach is awake. In case you all have forgotten, I have just as much invested in this whole situation as you do. Have you discovered anything useful from your interrogation yet? You can tell me through the door if it makes you feel more secure, but I have to insist on staying up to date on his and Leah's condition."
Naturally, he said this under the assumption that Atlas and the others were the ones interrogating him.

 

"OKAY LITTLE KID, I'M GOING TO KILL YOU NOW!"
Johnny throws his knife at Joseph, Mr. Reds blood flies onto the knife and makes the knife drop on the floor. Zed opens his eyes, his eyes the colour of a black void. Zed smiles.
"I'll kill you, light one."
Zed dashes forward to Johnny, Johnny pulls out his knife and throws it at Zed. Zed grabs the throwing knife, he licks his front lips. Zed throws his shadow in front of Johnny, the Elite shoots her gun at Zed. Zed dodges by switching his place with his shadow, Johnny grabs out another knife and holds it against Zeds throat.
"Your a fool."
Zed starts to show off a wicked smile.
"I'm just beginning light one."
Zed throws his knife at the Elites head, the knife penetrates into her skull, as she falls down she drops her gun and plasma canon. She dies on the port. Johnny pulls back his knife to cut Zeds neck, but Johnny can not. Zeds left arm is holding Johnny's, Zed starts to smile some more. Zed grips onto Johnny's arm, Zed bites at Johnny's hand. Johnny screams in agony, but still gripping onto the knife. Zed kicks Johnny in the stomach, he now grabs the knife and and stabs Johnny. Zed licks his upper lip.
"I will bathe in you blood."
Zed looks around the port.
"Where's the red one?"
"OVER HERE!"
Mr. Red appears behind Zed, he starts to choke Zed. They both fall down onto the ground, with Mr. Red still chocking Zed. Mr. Red punches Zed on the temple, rendering Zed unconscious.
"Sorry about that."
"We need more information, but I guess we can both find shelter."
"Right?"

 

"Whats going on? Did I do something wrong"
Lrah had a look of worry thinking that she might have hurt someone after losing control of the black hole.
"D-did I hurt someone, I'm sorry if I did, I promise I didn't mean to harm anyone"
Everyone paused. Seems she didn't remember Zach lunged at her and the events that followed.
"Leah, you didn't do anything wrong it's just...."
"Zach attacked you"
Both Atlas and Echo nod in agreement to confirm what they saw
"We don't know why, or whether or not he meant to but he did"
"And because of that we are leaving lass, we need to know if you are coming with us or not. We are all ready packing so make your response quick we don't have much time"
As we wait on Leah's response all of us continue to gather our belongings and anything we can pick up or make use of. Just how the hell are we going to move all this? Then i heard a knock at the door
"If anyone is in there, you should be aware that I know Zach is awake. In case you all have forgotten, I have just as much invested in this whole situation as you do. Have you discovered anything useful from your interrogation yet? You can tell me through the door if it makes you feel more secure, but I have to insist on staying up to date on his and Leah's condition."
It was claus, i look to the others as what we should do. Atlas then speaks up through the door.
"Claus keep an eye on Zach until we finish dressing leah's wounds, seems she has minor concusion"
Atlas lied, yeah was groggy but was fine and not hurt. He's buying time i can only assume. In a hushed voice Echo speaks
"Times slipping away, we need an answer"

"I'll go with you, it would be better that way"
Leah had agreed to join us in a leave of the base. About the time Leah headed to her room to grab her things two girls appeared out of no where in the living room. This of course set me on guard but echo put his hand out to stop me
"Miko, Kuro Perfect timing as always"
"Whacha idiots doin? I thought you abandon this place?"
"Sis and I were able to stake out the place before teleporting in, it didn't seem in danger so why did you send out that message"
"Remember those extra members i was talking bout?"
"Yeah"
"Well they.."
"Long story short one attacked another and we rather not risk being killed in our sleep"
"Cold and quick, you haven't changed eh Frosty?"
"Sis i don't think this is a good time...."
"Anyways, we needed a fast route out of here. teleporting a crew and gear seemed the most logical way"
"Eh so you need us to save your butts?"
"Wait just how much 'gear' are we talking? You know i can only teleport so much"
Atlas was still trying to stall but when i looked around i had seen he grabbed the four beds in the room, the chairs, tables. all the heavy item in the house. Wait What?! how the hell and what the hell are we going to do with all of this! While i ask these questions to my self Kuro's face turns dark.
"He expects me to move all of that...."
Looking up at the ceiling and hiding a despairing laugh echo finally speaks
"No....... he expects you to be able to teleport the ship carrying all the stuff..... to the middle of your industrial district, without being seen"
"WHA-mmmmmmmmmmmh!"
Echo quickly cover her mouth to stop the yelling.
Frost shakes her head while i am left purely awestruck. Can This girl Kuro do that? there was a long silence before anyone spoke.
"Have you even tested this before?"
"Nope"
"Shesh, you guys sure are crazy"
"Oh your helping too Miko, First gather all the metal items in the house makes is easier since you can kinda make magnetic fields. Then well..... Your going to power Kuro, Literally."
"Huh?"
"What"
Both where question what was meant by 'power'
"You are going to have to send constant energy to Kuro so she doesn't run out of power mid trip. Think of it as a charger to a phone who's battery is about to die, she will be drawing your electricity temporally "
"So your telling me we are the only two actually working here"
"No, by no means"
Echo Immediately responded.
"All of us are actually going to be working here. Frost and Blaze over there will be acting as thrusters, By Frost freezing all but a small point Blaze can send out his Flame in a more concentrated force. Not near enough to keep us from falling out of the sky but enough Kuro will have time to correct the falling after each blink. I'll be trying to cause enough vibration in the air via sound to make it easier for Kuro to teleport just us, the ship and gear rather than a bubble around us. As for Atlas..... He is piloting the ship........"
"You're telling me we all are going to risk our lives on trying to move that big hunk of junk while he sits at the wheel?!"
"As I said before you guys are crazy"
Echo got a small grin on his face
"But come on that's the reason you love us"
Miko started coughing repeatedly while her face turned bright red.
"Idiot, just hurry up and get this suicide plan ready...."
With everything gathered Kuro start teleporting the stuff onto the boat, before long the base was empty, and everyone but Atlas and myself were on the boat. Atlas was still buying time with claus, while i was to start a small fire to get rid of the shell of a building. However I couldn't do that till Atlas was done.
