Prime Minister Honest - Akame Ga Kill [0]

In all honesty I am mixed on Val. SO much could have been done, but she was part of a poorly executed series. She could have even been like another Belldandy in my eyes.
Well, maybe that was too far of a comparison.

Princess Val could have really been something. The series altogether had 4 seasons. 4! And for an ecchi, too! Unheard of to have that many seasons!
But this is the issue: S1 has 12 episodes, S2 has 6[?], S3 has 4-6. and S4 has maybe 2. And ultimately, it ends inconclusively, with no alternative sources for the story. And to add to all this (though I watched this with pure intentions for the story), it reeks of catering to the Loli niche.
Val is normally an older woman, who accidentally crashes her ship on Earth on an escape from a royal duty.

Her crash ends up killing a high-schooler named Kazuto. At this sort of thing, my dad would shake his head and remark about the terrible driving skills of women. Anyway, back to the story, she resurrects him by imparting a half of her life to him. He is brought back, but she regresses to a childlike state for most of the series. She only becomes an adult once more when she kisses Kazuto, but only for awhile will she stay an adult before regressing.
My issue is that when Kazuto's childhood friend conronted him and confessed her love, Val never seemed to remember such an event happening, even though she was present for hearing the confession. This series was not well fleshed out, so likely for this reason, that was the reason. Most of the time, she was simply a child who was being taken care of by Kazuto (in an unperverted way, since Kazuto did have a sister to help). Nothing could advance in that state, and whenever she did get better, it would eventually regress, holding back the entire plot.

Oh, and to kill time in the story, every transformation done by her was full-length and uncut, showing her change from child to adult. A thing that is good, occasionally, but it got old after seeing it every episode.

Holy shit, is this a nomination to spite me? That's awesome.

Well, if not, I'll still say that Honest was a pretty decent character. You hate him not because he was a crappy character, but because he was a well executed villain.

As for Princess Valkyrie.. I mean, eh..?

So yeah, it IS a feeling born of hate. But you tell me: if others thought he is such a great character, then they wouldn't be voting him, now would they? The stats speak for themselves. So don't try to pin this on me.

 

I don't really care, man.

My defense of Honest was just that he was a well executed villain, and that I liked him as a villain.

He's not my favorite character, nowhere close (because he also assisted in the killing of some of my bestgirls/waifus), but our berating just goes to show he's a damn good villain. As stated prior, I loved hating him, and I hated that I love his sadistic antics -- sociopathy just speaks to me, you know?

Although your attempt to vindicate him did strengthen my desire to nominate him. And there are villains that I do like.

 

And once again, it feels like I missed the point of this elimination game, like with the Hallow's Eve eliminate game. Poorly executed characters are just no match to characters that are evil.
I should have just gone with waifu killers.

 

Prime Minister Honest moves on. And i hope the argument of last month won't be brought up again in the 2nd round.
