    I'll just be that guy. The anime was shit, the character wasn't the worst just all the other characters. Meanwhile Nana was good and the character was a shit. Because my vote doesn't matter anyway I'll just go with my hatred for the series.

    I understand the hate for Kirito, but I don't understand why there is so much of it.

    Alright, he is stupidly played up, he breaks the game with his shear will (*cough*), his personality makes me want to drink bleach, and he is incredibly OP.

    But then, those same Kirito haters turn around and renown other shounens with MCs that are:

    Stupidly played up, break the world and it's laws with shear will, have personalities that makes me want to ingest cyanide, and are incredibly OP.

    Honestly, I feel like most people 'hate' Kirito because of something like this:

    I get that plot and world building contribute to an MC, and a shitty plot and world can make a MC that much worse, but come ooooooooooooooon.

    While nana is horrible, she's meant to be horrible for the show from what i've read. Kirito is shit because the writer fucked up and went with it, most of the hate tp kirito is because, like Dandy he ruined (almost thank God for Log Horizon and Overlord reviving the idea) the age old idea of "what if you could live in a video game". Plus because Plot he will always win for no other reason besides Plot
