The laugh fluttered through the cavern again, the image of the Jester popping up in front of Leif. "Peekaboo!" Almost instantly, the image multiplied, surrounding the man. The Jester's voice came out in multiple layers, each image speaking at the same time, "You want to feel the pain first? How... stupid."
The images started circling rapidly around their prey, all laughing manically. One stopped directly in front of Leif, the rest slamming into it and being absorbed, the last man standing also vanishing. The laugh came from deep within the cavern again.
"If you so want to die, then death you shall have."
His chanting voice could be heard again, at first a low growling sound which soon grew into screaming, easily distinguishable words. It stopped abruptly, a strong suction pulling loose rocks and even boulders towards the origin of the voice. Similarly to the voice, they stopped. After a moment of peace, all were violently launched back towards the group. The cavern shook as the portal opened; a bright light encompassing the cavern as the outside was temporarily viewed... then the thing beyond came to view.

The portal shook the entire cavern wildly, its energy was beyond any normal portal. A roar engulfed the entirety of the cavern of a beast long forgotten. It silenced for a moment, it was unmistakable it was something giant. If the group had fear they were feeling it as what came through from the other end appeared to be scaled, with a long jaw, it has horns and the scales were well damaged showing years of battle and life. The roar came through again this time shaking the cavern along with the energy of the portal. Finally came flying through the beast that rides the sky. A dragon.

Once it's tail flew through the entrance of the portal the dragon landed directly in front of the group. Dust immediately flew up covering everyone's vision. During this event the unknown rider of Mela jumped from her head and pet her. Walking towards the side holsters he grabbed his greatsword before he could sheathe it. He turned to see the Dust was settling. Maurith who stood 6'8" And armored with what could be described as adamantium. He saw the group of people standing weapons at the ready. His armors eyes seemed to have glared a red as he started charging towards the group. Once in range he leaped and slammed his greatsword down in the center of the entire group. An electrical discharged pulse and grew unstable causing an explosion only large enough to separate the entire group from one another. Lifting his body up quickly he got into an offensive position and immediately leaped towards His closest target.

Mela had since shifted into a position to provide support for Maurith. She angled herself to prevent any massive intrusions from his fight.

OOC: Well, here I am. Been doing stuff. Started watching movies again, gangs of new york, goodfellas, godfather, nostalgia critic... Anyway here I am.

Wolfette stood there looking at Leon as he tried to pantomime her calming down. Through the pain it simply annoyed her. She could have changed back and soothed his fears... but she was finally in her wolf form again. Younger and Elder were pleased and the Wolf was finally prepared to unleash some pent up and righteous anger. The scent of a werecat was in the close air and the hunt could begin.

The voice came then, chuckling and taunting. The Jester god was cackling and talking about killing them all. All of them except for the last survivor. She quickly began sizing up everyone before her. There was no way she could take them all at once, but maybe one at a time... They had freed her, sure. But aside from that what did she owe them? Nothing. Not a thing. Her lips pulled back from her teeth as she smiled and her eyes filled with hunger.

Then the world was torn apart and she found herself on the ground as a sulfuric stench filled the air. A whimper pealed from her throat. Dragon.

The shock wave rolled her over onto her back and gave her a perfect view of the fire breather. Looking away from the smouldering eyes, she looked to where all the commotion was and saw a scale clad warrior brandishing a great sword.

The dragons were attacking. That insane fool had brought a dragon. All was lost.

Through the fear and somehow hate, Vixie had pulled an arrow from her quiver, and had drawn it back upon the string of her bow. First it had been pointed to the directions she heard the Jester's voice from....it felt like his voice was everywhere at once.
Suddenly, Vixie's eyes were blinded. She dropped her stance, and raised her arm to bring some shade to her eyes. Then, Vixie was thrown back, hitting a wall so hard she could feel the air being painfully forced out of her lungs. "Uhh." She fell to the floor, her head lowered slightly, as she attempted to regain her senses.

As the dragon came through the portal, Leif could only look on in horror as it landed on the ground with enough force to kick up a large dust storm.
"That can't be what I think it is...can it?"
He shielded his eyes until the dust settled down. When he opened them, he was shocked yet again, this time seeing the dragon's armored rider armed with a great sword. Before he could even wonder what kind of person could ride a dragon of all things, the mysterious stranger slammed his sword into the ground, sending out a large shockwave. Leif was about to put up a wall of ice to defend himself, but his hesitation at the unbelievable events happening in front of him cause him to hesitate ever so slightly and he was hit with the full force of the attack.
    "Not good...!"
He reacted quickly as he flew through the air, encasing himself in a block of ice right before he slammed into the oncoming cave wall. The ice shattered upon impact, after which he fell about a foot to the ground, landing safely on his feet. Although he was unharmed, he was breathing heavily for a moment as he tried to calm down and assess the situation.
"Well...this sucks. I'm starting to think this group has the worst luck ever. Evil gods, giant monsters and now a dragon of all things."
He got to his feet and readied his rapier, a look of grim determination in his eyes.
"But I guess it can't be helped. Time to get back into the fight."

As I'm trying to calm Wolf Girl down, I turn to see a portal opening, and...

    ...By the gods...

...Is that a dragon?! It certainly looks like what you'd think of from the old legends. I can hardly even believe my eyes. In fact, I'm so entranced by the sight that I almost didn't shield my eyes in time from the dust storm. When the dust subsides, I look up at the dragon again. The irony isn't lost on me that I, a proud member of the Dragonfang clan, am probably one of the first people to actually see a dragon in hundreds or maybe even thousands of years. To be honest, I didn't even think they existed. Then I see someone jumping off of the dragon, a knight in full armor. How is that even possible? Who rides around on a dragon?! But I get the feeling he's not going to tell us as he readies his greatsword for battle. I take a defensive stance, but just as I do, he slams his sword into the ground sending out a huge shockwave. I react just in time, summoning a large tower shield almost as tall as I am and bracing myself just as the shockwave hits.
    "Not good...!"
It's not enough...the force of the attack is too much! Soon the shield lifts off the ground, then flies away as I'm thrown backwards unbelievably fast. Thankfully, the shield absorbed most of the attack and I fall fairly easily on the ground just before I hit the cavern's wall. I quickly jump back to my feet and summon a pair of swords in my hands. I take a combat stance and call out to anyone who might be close enough to hear me.
"Is everyone alright?! Form up, take defensive positions!"

Even Mordred could hardly believe his eyes when he saw the dragon coming through the portal. After the dust storm settled, he silently stared at it, unsure of what to think of it even as he searched for possible weak points. When the dragon's rider leapt off of his mount and drew his sword, Mordred readied himself for a fight, but when he saw the rider was preparing for a large, powerful attack, he turned his attention to more important matters.
    "Trinity...!"
There was no doubt that he could shield himself from the attack, but he had to wonder if Trinity could do the same. He turned to face her and immediately sprinted towards her. As Apocrypha's shadowed energy began to form around him, he jumped and caught her in his arms, quickly teleporting both of them to safety before the attack hit. Unfortunately, he was not quite as focused as usual and he sent them farther than he meant to. They appeared quite some distance away from the rest of the group, a few rooms back from where they started. Their landing was a little rough, so when Mordred got back up on his knees with a slight groan the first thing he did was check on Trinity.
"Are you alright? Admittedly, that last-second maneuver was...not my finest work."

    “What in the-“
The shockwave caught them all off guard, and they were all launched from their feet backward by the sheer force of the eruption. Tyrcestus met wall, hard, head-first, and he collapsed in a dazed heap.
    Kid, get up! Come on!
Mmurr... give... give me a second...

Fweep crashed into Hexy’s legs, helplessly sweeping her off her feet and dashing her into Vizard and Gizzard, who for once had more important things on their mind than nabbing a cheeky squeeze or grope. All three tumbled across the ground to slam into the corner of the cavern, pressed into each other.
    “Get – off!”
    “Tell that to Vizard!”
“You’re the one whose foot is rammed right up my-“

    “OFF!”

    Savvie dived
for Jeru, folding the boy into his chest seconds before said boy broke his neck from the shockwave hurling him into the solid rock floor. Luceforvis and Brisk were thrown skyward, only for Stake to reach up and grab them to slow their passage, himself sliding comically back along the floor as though he was simply standing on ice during a light breeze. Hailbird had instinctively ducked behind his shield, and so as a result fared the greatest. He managed to almost – almost – get to his feet. Alas, he did not do so fast enough.
    “BRIARLE! NOOO!”

The young priestess coughed gently, almost like she was trying to get someone’s attention in a crowded room. The greatsword was lodged through her chest, and she coughed again, her form already going limp around the metal blade. Blood trickled down her chin. She looked at her attacker, helplessly, tears forming in her eyes, and feebly tried to tug the weapon out of her form.

The pirates saw this, and charged forward. The dragon looked at them, and they all suddenly decided to stay put.

Scarra walked right beside the dragon, finally coming into view; he seemed uncaring of the dragon which could easily snap him up. "I warned you."
He moved towards Maurith , gingerly pulling the Priestess off of the blade. He took a few steps back, leaning in towards her ear and whispering, "I can save you. But you will pledge your life to me. I give you this choice - die or be mine."
Gentle sparks fluttered along his fingertips, pulsing into the Priestess' body, paralysing her to prevent any last ditch attacks.

Eternity felt the cavern rumble upon the dragon's landing. Her eyes stayed shut as she got up from her meditative pose. Upon sighing she moved towards the epicentre of the eruption - she had to find out what was happening and who dared interrupt her. As she neared the area, her vision flared up like a wildfire; figures of all shapes and sizes spread around. Most distinctively, she saw the dead. She walked out closer, her eyes still shut, "What is happening here? Who dares interrupt my prayer! And how DARE you hurt a person of prayer."

OOT: Had to add another slight edit. Nothing major.

    This is my chance.
As Karma floated in the Void, he saw a quiver in space. He pulled his violin up, and began to play a song he had devised during his stay here. The music was smooth and pure, dispelling any disturbing thoughts. As he played, violet threads began to slowly weave from the disturbance to his body, enveloping him gently. On he played, and the threads increased, until it the space began to fray into another existence, revealing a cavern filled with chaos.
    This is enough.
When the fray grew large enough, Karma put his violin away, and let the fray pull him into the new existence. He was pulled through, finally escaping the Void, and the threads wove together once more, covering the hole that was once there.

In the cavern, a dark, violet portal opened up, quietly roaring and shrieking simutaneously, after the dragonrider slammed the ground. The long-haired masked man stepped out of the portal, staggered, and calmly glanced at all that was happening. People were picking themselves up, a Fool was whispering to a bleeding women, and a trail of blood lead to the Dragon Rider's greatsword, and an obnoxious women who did not seem to need her eyes to navigate was yelling at everyone.

From what I can see, the Fool is the powerful one. I can still smell the stench of his replicas.
And the dragon pair, who's side are they on? No matter, it has been a little while since I last saw a dragon. Wonder if its heart tastes as good as the ones I have tried back home.
All those other people, they are no match, not without a plan at least.

"Release the woman, and leave her to me." Karma telepathically commanded to the Fool... but it did not work.
What... is this? My telepathy is blocked, I can't speak to anyone. I can't feel my thoughts even leaving me. Is this because of this being different world? It must be. I can't expect the laws of physics to work the same here, either.
Karma, in agitation to his new environment and discoveries, launched from the place he stood to the Fool.
If I can reach her in time, it is still possible to save her, with my medicines.
He readied his right fist, ready to punch the Fool's brains all over the cavern wall with his inhuman strength. At the same time, he readied his left hand to catch the woman.
And that is even if he has brains.
Karma cast aside his paradox pack, aiming it to the group.
"Meds!" Karma curtly shouted, unable to say anything else due to his limitations.
I hope they figure that out, that there are medicines in my pack.
All of Karma's focus was aimed to the woman, as her life was the one in danger the most.

As the pack sailed through the air, it landed at the huddled form of the one member of the group that was probably the most ill advised in the current situation. As the rather heavy sack fell to the cavern floor after hitting her in the head, Wolfette turned against the attacker and mauled the bag, spilling the contents all over the place and getting the fabric caught up in her fangs.

After several moments attempting to get the pack unstuck, she stared at it's ragged state.
"It startled me!" Younger whined when she realized what they'd attacked.
"Just look at the mess you've made, my dearest little sister. So much like a small puppy," Elder chided her with some amusement.

Vixie grew frustrated with all their happenings. Arrows would barely be felt in armor like the dragonrider wore. The other two on the other hand- the warewolf's attack of a bag distracted her. 'Medicine.' Vixie thought, as she looked towards her 'sister in cloth'.
Vixie put her bow over her shoulder and ran to the mess on the cavern floor. "I don't recognize any of these." She said, then looked at the warewolf. "Can you bring Tyrcestus over here?" She asked the wolf.

Maurith watched as Scarra took her Briarles body and seemed to levitate it. Once he heard Karma shout meds, he also noticed karma was running towards Scarra, repositioning himself he started to charge towards them. Mela, cut off the rest of the group by breathing fire in there direction, if the paradox pack wasn't strong enough it was going to be charred.

By the time Karma got close enough to Scarra. Maurith was already there and greeted him with a heavy punch to Karma, Knocking him clearly off balance and then slamming his sword down. If he didn't dodge he would be cut in half. Although this would seem like the end it was almost instantly that Maurith lifted the sword and headbutted Karma. He was inching him closer to the fire.

Maurith shouted. "Lag- Scarra, turn hen, im gar- other duties" Maurith roared and immediately dashed towards Leon.

I want to help Wolf Girl with those medical supplies, but there's something else demanding my attention right now. Namely, the terrifying death knight who seems to have turned his attention towards me. I should probably be afraid right about now...but all I'm thinking is that I finally have the chance to pay him back for what he's done. I throw my hands out to my sides and force magical energy into them.
"You want a fight...? You've got it!"
I decide to take a page out of Sean and Zerron's books and begin summoning a sword of fire in my right hand and a sword of lightning in my left. They're not much compared to the real deal, but I'm hoping that combining the two will give me an advantage. Of course, for all I know, this might turn out horribly but that hasn't stopped me before, has it?!

He's closing in quickly. For a guy in heavy armor, it's unbelievable how fast he can move. If I don't hurry, he'll cut me in half before I can defend myself!
Almost there. Come on, just a little more time!

    There!!

As the knight raises his sword and prepares to slam it down on my head, the swords appear in my hands and I raise them both to block it just in time! It's not gonna hold him for long, though...he's so strong! He's gonna crush me if I don't do something. I focus all of my strength to raise the knight's sword just a little and use the space I've made to dodge out of the way. The knight's sword slams into the ground with a loud crash, but just when I think I might get a breather, he raises it quickly and prepares another strike. I jump backwards and barely manage to put some distance between us. This isn't going well...I need to get some offense in if I've got any chance to win. We rush each other at the same time and as he goes for a horizontal swing, I jump high in the air and bring both of my swords down on him as hard as I can! My swords surge with fire and lightning as they strike the knight's blade...but I'm not getting through to him at all. My eyes go wide as he gives his sword a heavy swing and launches me backwards. I fall on the ground and tumble a few feet, groaning from the impact, my swords laying down next to me.

He charges in for the finishing blow. I...I can't stop him. Is this really the end...?

As the knight charges towards Leon to deliver the killing blow, he stops suddenly to deflect a flurry of blades formed from ice. Leif, who had spent his time stopping the majority of the dragon's fires with his ice magic, now rushed to Leon's side and helped him to his feet. Leon laughed quietly as he called his swords back to his hands.
"Man, you always did know how to make a stylish entrance."

    Leif grinned back at him.
"It's all about timing, my friend."
He then shot a glare to the night, his mythril pointed towards his enemy.
"He looks a little tougher than the street thugs we used to clean up back in the days...but I think we can handle him."

Leon wiped the sweat from his brow and readied his swords again.
    "I'm ready if you are!"
The two dashed around to knight's sides to flank him,
preparing to make their next move and strike at a moment's notice.

Trinity stood motionless, staring, wide eyed at the dragon. It was almost as if she was frozen in the spot she was standing. Whatever fears she had before were completely gone, only to be replaced by a new one. The dragon and the rider. She didn't even notice Mordred running towards her, she suddenly felt a jolt and the room they were in disappeared. She heard Mordred ask if she was alright and it took her a moment to respond. She was a bit in shocked as to what just happened. She blinked, then looked at Mordred.
    "I..."
she checked to make sure nothing hurt
    "I'm ok"
she looked back up at Mordred
    "What just happened,"
    she started looking around
"Where did that dragon go...where is everyone?"

Maurith, took barely any time to understand the situation, However they never Leon and Lief never saw the disadvantage they put themselves in. Maurith turned immediately to Lief and charged. The ice erupting up. To try and prevent him from advancing. He cut through each layer that lief had created from the moisture in the air. Leaving ice shards circling around him as he stepped closer and closer he finally closed the gap. There was no where Lief could have turned.

Leon followed behind Maurith to set up the flank, regardless of direction that he would have went Maurith would have heard the crunching. Finally, hearing Leon step close enough to Maurith he grabbed Lief as he cut down the last of the ice swords, one hit him, but barely put a dent in his armor. Grabbing hold of Lief he swiftly turned and threw Lief at Leon's swords. Leaving him with no time to lower them, if he managed to break free from the inevitable impale he then slammed his sword back on the ground sending out another shockwave to knock them both back.

Maurith readied himself in yet another stance. He was preparing for his next challenger.

Mela looked over to Maurith while keeping her senses over at the potential group of attackers. Her flames were stopped by liefs ice but she could always send out another wave of fire. She waited and watched carefully.

Karma could feel the flames heat the back of his body, as he recoiled from the assault he received from the dragon rider. Two of his ribs were broken, and the headbutt cracked his mask diagonally. Blood trickled down his covered face, seeping out of the bottom of his porcelain mask.
This is so much less than nothing to me.
Karma regained his footing, feeling a special anger towards the dragon rider, Maurith.
I don't have time to waste on you.
Karma charged back to the Fool, Scarra. Midway there, Karma spun around as he ran and pulled out his 7-barreled shotgun, Insolence. Maurith was in his sights.
I do not think I will be able to make my special gunpowder anymore, so this is likely to be my last good use of Insolence. This shot had better count.
Karma jumped and pulled the trigger of Insolence, launching himself with the monstrous blast of seven barrels. Rocks exploded from the onslaught of projectiles launched by the gun, able to reduce anyone who is the designated victim to be reduced to bloody gibs and flesh-stripped bones.
You are no longer useful. Goodbye for now, Insolence.
Karma loosed his hold on the weapon, letting it fall from his grasp. He grabbed his weightless sword, Life Cycle, and reoriented himself back to Scarra. With his right hand holding the life stealing and giving blade, and his left hand ready to catch the priestess, he closed in on Scarra, with less than ten feet separating them.
May your life aid in another's, fool.
    -----------
The paradox pack Karma threw did not end up the way he had expected. Torn up by a werewolf, the tattered little pack, which could be described as a satchel, lie there with it's readily available contents spilled. A bags of healing crystals, nourishment crystals, berzerker crystals and oxygen crystals were among the contents, along with blood filters and needles.
However, the little black satchel was not empty. Its inside was greater than its outside, and the badly damaged paradox pack began to tremble. The contained inside was no longer able to be contained. Suddenly, with a comical "pop!", it exploded, scattering the rest of its contents in the immediate area. Fourteen gun barrels, an alchemy set, twenty-pounds worth of dark purple void crystals and a bloodied, slightly-open bag containing lungs were now added to the scattered contents. At the center of the content-explosion, was the Vocale Violin.

Wolfette stared at Vixie in confusion, she had no idea to which of their party she was speaking of. The warewolf simply stared at her until she was forced to flee as the wave of flame rushed at her, singing her tale.

To add to her flight, the bag that she had so impulsively torn apart exploded, throwing items all over the cavern. Of particular note, a violin that smacked her in the head as she finally made it out of the area of the dragonblast. She picked it up in her claws, careful not to destroy this instrument, lest it too explode. The bow landed nearby and she scooped that up as well. She made the task of finding a safe shelter her top priority and scampered off down the cavern that the party had come from to find somewhere to hide.

    No...!

I just summoned a group of swords and launched them towards the knight, but now they're about to hit Leif! I focus and reach my hand towards them, diverting them away at the last moment...but I can tell right away that a few of them still grazed him. My heart sinks when he lets out a cry of pain. still hurtling right towards me. Then, to make things worse, the knight unleashes another powerful shockwave heading right towards us! I try to brace myself, only to get thrown off my feet when Leif slams into me. Because of that, the attack takes us both completely unprepared and launches us right out of the room we're in.

I feel myself slamming into something. Then...my mind just goes blank for a little while.

Soon after the sudden impact, Leif is the first of the two to stir, groaning loudly as he clutched his head and slowly got up on his knees. As he did, pain shot through his body and he clutched his wounds from Leon's swords.
    "Ow...those swords hurt like a--"
He looked over and saw Leon's pained expression as he watched his friend holding his blade wounds.
"Like a...sunburn, a light one. So, you know, not all that bad, all things considered."
Leif forced a smile, which did little to assuage Leon's guilt.
Still, Leon couldn't help but laugh despite himself.
"I guess now you're gonna tell me that it could happen to anyone, right?"

    Leif grinned wryly.
"Hah, no. I was gonna say that you owe me a drink when this is all over."

    Leon smiled back at him.
"When we get out of here, I'll buy you two drinks."

    Leif gave a quick nod.
"Now that sounds more like the Leon I know."

With a groan of effort, Leon stood back up on his feet and looked around, soon finding the entrance to the room they were just in. He pointed towards it and started walking in that direction.
"Alright, let's get right back to it."

He stopped when Leif grabbed his shoulder.
"You always were too eager to hop back into the fray, you know that? We should at least stay out here long enough to catch our breath. Come on, those guys look like a tough bunch, I think they can manage without their fearless captain for a minute or two."

Leon thought about it, let out a sigh and nodded.
    "I guess you're right."
He then slumped against a nearby wall, a look of deep concern on his face.
"At least I hope you're right. That knight...he's so strong, it's not natural."

When he could see that Trinity was unharmed, Mordred stood up and looked around the room.
"Ah...that is troubling. It seems I sent us farther away than I meant to."
He then looked back to Trinity.
"I could see that the dragon rider was about to unleash some sort of powerful technique, so I took it upon myself to whisk us away from any immediate danger. Unfortunately, as I said, this was not my finest work and it seems I've taken us some distance from the group. I would venture a guess that this happened because I acted rather hastily in the heat of the moment; at the time, I was...concerned for your well-being.
As any teacher would be for their student, naturally."
    He quickly cleared his throat.
"However, this should be fairly easy to rectify; stay close and I will bring us back."

Power flowed out of the sword on Mordred's waist, but only for a moment. Mordred leaned forward and clutched his head, moaning softly.
"Mm...it seems that will not be an option at the moment."
Unfortunately, even though Mordred's physical wounds were healed earlier, his usage of Apocrypha's power throughout the day had taken a toll on his mind that he had not yet fully recovered from. His sudden, unfocused use of the sword's power to bring the two of them to safety put a greater strain on him than usual.
"We will have to walk back. By the time we make it, I should be able to fight somewhere near full strength."

    W...what the hell happened?
Search me, but right now get up and get to doing your stuff!

Tyrcestus made it back to his feet. Briarle was impaled, Scurra examining her with malicious intent dancing in his eyes. There was a bloody great dragon just belching flames in every direction, and its rider had just disposed of both Lief and Leon as well as a strange newcomer with seemingly very little effort.

In short, the situation had escalated from depressingly grim to outrageously chaotic and by the All-Queen, there was only so much crap they could deal with in one day and this was just about the final straw.

Seeing Tyrcestus back on his feet threw the pirates into a heroic frenzy and as one they all rushed at Maurith, though whether this was a sense that they could no longer stand by in the face of grave injustice or if their courage was bolstered by the fact the super-healer was back up could be heavily debated.

    Briarle... she’s...
I’m aware of that, so crack to it! MOVE!

Tyrcestus and Hexy both headed straight for Briarle, but the dragon simply whirled around and spat fire. Hexy astride Fweep wheeled aside and Tyrcestus’s hands shot up – the shield of the Wingmender burst into life and the force of the dragon’s breath shook Tyrcestus within it like dice in a cup.
Come on, Ty, Martyris urged. Don't get too hot under the collar now.
IS NOW THE BEST TIME FOR A PUN?!
Well... gotta strike while the iron's hot...

"AND DON'T CALL ME TY!" Tyrcestus bellowed as he strode into the heart of the fire, forcing his way forwards foot by foot. Vizard and Gizzard took one look at the dragon’s power and as one dived for cover as the sheer heat scorched the back of their robes from just the backdraft of the blast. Stake simply stood in front of Luceforvis and Jeru and stood there absentmindedly as the flames baked him like a clay pot in a furnace. Brisk raised his bow and loosed a shot at Maurith, but the draughts in the air currents from the heat skewed the arrow’s arc – instead of hitting Maurith in the eye socket, it skimmed harmlessly off the top of his armour. Hailbird was forced back along the floor, but struggled upright and made a beeline for Briarle, keeping out of the dragon’s way but making too slow progress, much too slow...

Briarle looked into the face of the wicked mad king, and smiled as blood dripped down her chin. “That’s not a choice at all.” She spat into his face, a bloodied streak of saliva streaking across his cheek, and with a last gasp suddenly went limp as the life fell from her body.

Savvie stepped up, moving Eternity gently out of the way, a dagger in his hand, taking in the situation. The two new strangers seemed to be on their side, so he ignored them for now and focused on Maurith, walking closer with what seemed to be shadows leaking from his clothes like tar. “Not the biggest, not the scariest, and probably not the strongest bastard I’ve faced,” he grunted, his foot swinging round on the ice beneath them into a combatant’s stance. “If you put up a decent fight, I might only skin you alive.” His voice was colder than the ice and twice as ruthless, and he looked away from Briarle’s corpse with a solemn but focused expression.

At the moment the saliva touched his face, Scurra's entire form seemed to erupt with a blazing green flame. The body in his hands followed en suite as he let it go, allowing it to fall carelessly to the ground. His entire body seemed to jut forward, his spine bending to a sickening curve. His clothing seemed to melt, his torso section forming into a black monk's cowl adorned with red stars and long black sleeves reaching down to his wrists; white fingerless gloves showing his slender, long fingers; tight, dark red breeches; and simple black boots with the tips curling backwards and ending with a small bell; a red ball where his nose should be. "All of you will die... today."

Eternity started shaking her head, "No. No. No. No. NO! STOP FIGHTING!" A seemingly gentle breeze detached itself from her, rushing outwards and soon encompassing the surrounding. Upon touching an entity, it would suck out all energy - effectively causing them to fall fatigued or extremely weakened. "STOP THIS AT ONCE!" Another gentle breeze detached from Eternity, once again covering the vicinity however upon contact with this, each person would see a beautiful future void of wars and untimely deaths.

Scurra's threat was sent astray as he soon found himself doubled over in a mixture of shock and fatigue. Then the vision kicked in: the world aflame and only two survivors... Scurra and her. She seemed flawless, even angelic - the flames giving her hair a sentient look, gentle curls flowing down to her lower waist. Her body entirely covered by a black dress splitting down the thigh and followed finally with plain black stilettos. They moved closer together until they hang onto each other. "I love you," he managed to whisper, overcome by emotion for the first time in millennia, "but this can't be real... they killed you years ago." He cut off her speaking and plunging his dagger into her chest, pulling away and then he violently shook, digging his nails into his face to wake him up from the visions. "Okay, time to go." He looked at his summoned companion, seeing if he managed to fight his way out of the vision.

Eternity stood static, everyone's visions flowing through her mind, tears flowing down her face.

As the dragon's flames encompassed the area, Vixie brought the closest of the flames to herself. At least in this room she could transform and use the fire from the dragon to hold it off.
As Vixie transformed into her Demon Fox form, she pulled more and more of the flames towards her, until her entire half fox form was engulfed. If anyone had not seen her previous transformation, they would have thought that the fire had consumed her. However, after about a minute, or less, if they were paying attention, they would have noticed the fire growing, and expanding, far greater than a cavern of this size would allow.
Suddenly, the ball of fire began to move, revealing the "Great Firefox" or "Demon Fox". Vixie turned her attention immediately to the dragon, growling lowly. However, before she could approach the dragon, the flames upon her body began to dim.
    'What's happening?' Vixie thought.
