I am now obsessed with the opening to Durarara!! It sounds like it should be in a FIFA game.

@Plasmasoul I have checked out the pieces of music you posted. I like the Darker than Black song, and the Samurai Champloo piece.

My favourite Ghost in the Shell S.A.C. song would have to be:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n0A7i5vqJE8

And my favourite song from Cowboy Bebop  would have to be:

One of the best in the business.

The soundtrack of Requiem for the Phantom is quite gripping if you enjoy this kind of show.

I agree. Cowboy Bebop and Ghost in the Shell soundtracks are great! Yoko Kanno is definitely one of my favourite composers.

Also, just to bump this thread up again. I found some pretty cool anime soundtrack related stuff. Here is a medley for Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind, celebrating 25 years of Joe Hisaishi's work:

And here is a cover of Connect by ClariS played by violin. This person has a few other videos where they cover J-pop songs on violin:

    Yoko Kanno. Nuff Said.

My favourite soundtrack by her has to be the Wolf's Rain OST. It's such a good soundtrack to fit such a good anime.

I love it when she gets Steve Conte to sing over her tracks. He also sings for a few songs in the Bebop and RahXephon OSTs.
I'm also a huge fan of the Mushishi and Initial D OSTs as well to add a few more anime to the list.

I have to admit I didn't enjoy Wolf's Rain at all. Didn't think much of the soundtrack either. It had a few hidden gems here and there. Yeah, gotta love The Sore Feet song from Mushishi as well as the awesome soundtrack in general for the anime. I still need to finish watching Mushishi, but it just feels like the same thing every episode after 8 episodes.

Gun X Sword had an appealing soundtrack, reminiscent of Cowboy Bebop, if i remember correctly. Space Dandy did a wonderful job on matching high-energy music to its scenes(from the few episodes I have seen).

Couldn't finish Wolf Rain. Got a little bored with it. Not sure why though, just wasn't really feeling in the mood to watch it. Maybe some other time. Maybe.

I liked the intro of Gun X Sword. It was cool how in the beginning of the show the intro would "cover" the characters that weren't reveled yet. Then later on when they were revealed it would finally remove the canvas in the later intros. It made it worth watching the intro just for that.

I haven't even seen the second series of Persona 4 the animation. But damn, the opening is so catchy >_< Reminds me of The World Ends With You a little. So epic:

as time goes by, im now into music that has no lyrics. just listening to the instruments form harmony is enough for me.
