    Haha, the two most human nominees are facing each other in the second round. Well Holo is a god not just an animal, she is the god of harvest which has a human form and a wolf form. She spends most of her time in human form playing around with human economics, hardly a job for an animal.
    Serval on the other hand is an animal given a human form magically but still remains very much an animal in nature. She is curious about everything and understands nothing in the way of electricity or motor vehicles. She is also scared of fire and doesn't understand how to get something out of a plastic container. Everything about her is still animalistic.

    She only takes human form when interacting with humans.

    If you base yourself on the anime only, then yeah, she's a shit wolf, because you can't really transform and go hunt when the church is always nearby while she's traveling.

    Also, she used to get offerings all the time, so I believe she didn't hunt much to begin with.

    Volume seven offers a prequel story where she leads children (14-16 years old) in the forest and proceeds to scare the living crap out of them with the help of a fawn spirit.

    Since she lives in regions where it's dangerous to reveal herself, you won't see much of why she deserves your vote from the anime only, but she is every bit the mischievous wolf.

    Anytime.
    If not in anime form I don't care too much about the characters, even less when I didn't like the series. But that prequel story, now if that were animated I may have liked something from it. But for romancing a wolf and economics I disliked everything it had to offer.

    And look at this match up, a dog that appears for a single episode to move the plot along or one of the main characters in a series that has 50 eps.
    Shirokuma is a polar bear that acts very much like a human. He talks, wears clothing, owns a bloody cafe and even drives. In this city animals are just regular citizens for unknown reasons, people from other cities are scared at first when they see this. Does this make him any less of an animal? Not really. He still has sharp claws that could rip everything to shreds, he is just so mild mannered that he wouldn't. And most importantly he everything he does is for pure fun.

    I can't believe a dog that dies early on in the episode it is introduced due to a vet's negligence has made it through two rounds now. Makes me think our winner would be the puppy beaten to death in elfen lied if that were in this game.
    Shirokuma deserves better than that.

    But this round is tougher. Akamaru the great ninja dog or Kuro the friendly demon. We actually get to watch both grow as characters not just animals being there. I think I'll go with my nominee though

    This is gonna be a hard match for Chopper i think. One Piece vs Naruto also makes this a fun match up. Well, Chopper has pretty much everything to make him a likeable good character. A big emotional backstory, funny scenes, useful moments, he can transform into various cool forms. I will always keep referring to the old Chopper from before the timeskip but thats mainly because i think all of One Piece became worse after that. Not only Chopper.

    Ah yeah, Serval moves on. Luck was on my side for that one. Great result, we all know Holo sucks and surely that is why no one else voted for her against a new CG anime that no one here has seen.
