    Hey guys, question! I’m putting together my first AMV, slicing anime scenes and such and while I was working with Dragon Age: Age of the Seeker, a thought suddenly occurred to me. Are there any anime’s that I should stay away from using in an AMV? Such as Dragon Age: Age of the Seeker…because it’s licensed and owned by EA. I realize all animes are licensed and owned by some company out there, but EA…is it safer to stay away from using media owned by them especially. Or would content from them by about the same as using content from an anime such as Sword Art Online? Please let me know what you think. Thanks! Oh and I did finally find a couple songs to use. [IMG]
    hmmm , what I would do is put the scenes together quickly and upload them to YouTube as unlisted, and see if it gets picked up by YouTubes content ID, Ive never had a problem as of yet with YouTube picking up any of my amvs via there content ID system. In most cases you should be fine. But as I said try uploading some of the scenes you were using just to be safe. In any case there’s all ways the amv.org site which you can upload your amv to as well. [IMG] Also if you find a song try uploading that to youtbe before you start edeitng, youtubes music ID system can be a real bitch

    Thank you, Saywut! I'm grateful for the extremely helpful information!

    As of right now I'm cutting apart the scenes of the five animes I'm going to use for my first AMV. Hopefully by tomorrow or Friday I'll be able to start splicing the scenes together. :)

    ✧ My YouTube Account: http://www.youtube.com/user/renZERODESTINran
    ✧ Most recent AMV: Lucky to be alive
    ✧ How long have I been editing: mm almost a year
    ✧ Why did I decide to edit: Because watching amv's were not enough for me anymore. When I edit I was able to connect with various people and gain experience I wouldn't have gained if I hadn't started editing.
    ✧ What does an “AMV” mean to you? It is a means of escape form the world around me. Putting music to anime that can convey feeling of sadness, anger, joy, love, or just plain silliness.

    Hello everyone.

    My YouTube Account is: http://www.youtube.com/user/frozenavaox

    Most recent AMV: Got taken down. So the only one i have at the moment is this one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k6Yd_vDIJ9M

    How long have I been editing: a little over a year, but just picked up a a ton of new skilles and effects.

    Why did i start editing: I watched a ton of Anime and AMVs. Then decided why only observe when i can make my own. To me anime and AMVs are a passion not just a hobby.  I wanted to make my own story to show everyone what i can do. To express my emotions and ideas through the AMV.

    What does an "AMV" mean to you: An AMV is not just some video, anime, or song . AMVs are art that expresses the feelings and emotions of the creator and the anime. To call an AMV just a video, anime, or song is a slap in the face to the creator. AMVs combine every emotion of the creator, anime, and song to create a whole new type of emotion powerful enough to touch the hearts of the people who watch and enjoy AMVs. That is what AMVs mean to me.

    Hello everyone!

    I'm Sneffe and I've been making AMV's for about a year (even though I'm not very good), and I'm slowly increasing my editing skills. The reason why I started making AMV's in the first place was because I had been watching alot on youtube and I really just wanted to create my own and use my favorite animes and songs to create a story that could give you the same feeling you had watching the show for the first time. To me creating an AMV can at times be bothersome when I'm dealing with editing software that just doesn't want the same thing as I do (damn you Sony Vegas pro 11.0 !!), but once I finish the satisfaction is far greater than the frustration I had making the video.

    I would like to know if it would be possible for me to become a part of the AMV Editors club so that I could get some feedback on my videos in order to become better ^^

    Well tat was a very interesting AMV :p, very very fast pace, and you did seem to choice the right anime to match the music which is a good base skill. Your in

    @ZeroDestiny

    That was nice, good coloring and the fast beat anime really did match the music :D, Your in

    @frozenavaox

    My AMV Editor pen-name is Druzaik, and I am a Japanese AMV editor that started about 8 to 9 months ago. I currently own a MEP studio right now known as Vision Studios, and I'm still quite new to a lot of concepts when it comes to AMV editing.

    I've personally decided to edit due to wide influences of anime coming from my family and friends, and because of my deep interest in video editing. An AMV to me essentially means one key concept to me: Flow. Without the concept of flow, an AMV cannot idealize a story nor a message which a video must proceed to give to its audience.

    @Druzaik

    That "trailer" amv was pretty fantastic and very unique, you picked up all the key parts of the anime and the camera work was decent and of course the flashing descriptive text was fantastic. That all combined made a truly effective and worth watching amv!
    One thing however at 0:17 in the use of the black text was a bit hard to read at the start due to the background an outer-line of inner line even a shadowing effect could have solved that but that's just me being picky!

    I think you would make an excellent edition to the club!

    - YouTube Account; https://www.youtube.com/user/xDerpin
    - A recent AMV; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-Uxc7APsw0g
    - How long you have been creating AMVs; Around a year and a half. Maybe two.
    - Why did you decide to edit?; What does an “AMV” mean to you? I decided to start editing one day when I was sifting through YT and came upon an amv (I think it was for Clannad? Either that or FMA) and it really touched my heart. I wanted to do that for other people. I edit with a ton of different anime, or whatever I like 'at the moment'. For editing programs, I use Sony Vegas 12 (though I started out with SV 9.0) and After Effects (which I'm still getting the hang of). I've recently moved my Youtube, so I currently only have one upload on my channel. Working on getting something else up soon~
    More Info; My alias is Di, or any variation of that (ie. Dee, D., etc), but call me whatever you wish. And I'm sixteen. Cheers!
