Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine opened a website on Thursday to announce that Akira Amano's ēlDLIVE manga is getting a television anime adaptation in 2017. Studio Pierrot(Naruto Shippūden, Twin Star Exorcists) will animate the series.

Shueisha's Shonen Jump+ app will reveal more details about the anime in the future.

Amano (Reborn!) launched the series in full color on Shonen Jump+'s predecessor app Jump Live when it launched in August 2013. The manga switched to Shonen Jump+ when the app launched in September 2014.

Viz Media published the first three chapters of the manga in English digitally in September-October 2014 as part of its "Jump Start" initiative, and it describes the manga as follows:

"Mumbling" Chuta Kokonose doesn't have many friends. In fact, the only conversations he has anymore are with voices inside his head. Little does he know that this voice doesn't mean he's crazy. It just means he has an alien living inside his body!
Shueisha will publish the manga's fifth compiled volume on Friday.

Weekly Shonen Jump had streamed a promotional video for the manga in November 2013.

Amano ended the 42-volume Reborn! manga in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine in November 2012. Viz Media published the first 16 volumes of the manga North America, and Crunchyroll and Viz Media streamed the anime adaptation outside Japan.
