It is still early here only being 10:44pm. The site goes mostly quiet since the majority of the user base are American but there are a few of us that manage to be around during those unusual hours.
I would think so. But then again, it's been over 4 years since I last joined any anime/manga related forums. I'm out of the loop. Oh well, gives me time to stalk some old threads. :)
4 years? I've not even been on a forum for 4 years yet so that is a pretty long time. Just jump right into any thread and see how many responses you can get.
Stalking old threads can be interesting. Have fun.
Well, when you've lived for as long as I have 4 years is nothing.
Okay, no.I started young. I even got to a point where I was the forum supermod for OtakuZone. But then I started uni and just became this uninteresting person who only talks about Shakespeare and Oscar Wilde. Oh well, new beginnings.
As long? Not too important. Everyone is equal on an anime forum, apart from the admins.
Shakespeare, damn. I always hated Shakespeare, way too old fashioned for me. I even hated the new anime that was roughly based on his Tempest play.
To new beginnings.
Haha, even the admins are humans. Though more powerful and somewhat omnipotent. Still, humans.
Hahahaha, I have to, though. Passing English Lit. is hard if you skip out on Shakespear.
The admins are fun people, but they hold the supreme power so they are definitely a tier or two above everyone else.
But his plays were just so boring to study, I don't know how you are managing to survive it.
Good luck with your studies, it sounds much harder with Shakespeare being involved.
Alas, true. With great power comes the chance to site on nice, sparkly, virtual game of thrones' look alike thrones.
Haha, the fact that I don't have to study his plays anymore helps. Also reading stories that scare the sleep right out of you. Horror helps everything.
Well, since I don't know the admins, personally or otherwise, I'll just stick to the sword throne.
Oddly enough, I haven't found any horror anime that would make me scared. Only books and manga seem to do the trick for me. I only watch action anime because I can't seem to decipher the fighting scenes in the manga. Or if the manga series had me addicted. Then I just can't get enough.
The curse of being a new member. You'll come to know them soon enough. It isn't that large a community yet.
Yeah horror themed anime aren't very scary but they are fun none the less. This reminds me I still need to watch Shiki.
I'm not much of a manga fan but yeah action scenes in them suck. Anime fighting scenes all the way.
What anime do you happen to like? I'm always on the hunt for new series to watch.
Well, Trinity Blood was fun. Hellsing too. Maybe even Ghost Hunt. But that's all. In fact, those are the only horror anime I know.
I actually like manga more since they're often more detailed than the anime. And with less fillers. But never for action scenes. They're all just lines or squiggles to me.
Never watched Trinity Blood. Hellsing was fine but Ultimate was amazing. The only manga I've read seem to be comedy or drama so I'm no help there.
Trigun and Ghost hunt I loved. FMP was great, Soul Eater too [but that ending...] and I've never watched Gungrave, GG or Get Backers. But you were right, I did know of them all.
Trinity Blood does fall into shoujo, so not surprised. Haven't seen Ultimate or Berserk. But I've been planing to for a very long time. Oh, I love comedy manga!
Most ending disappoint, sadly. Even with manga. I wasn't satisfied with Naruto's ending but that might have something to do with having spent so long reading it.
Haha, I'm not very adventurous when it comes to anime. Sadly.
I watch shoujo, just not as often. I watch an awful lot of stuff.
Ultimate was full of violence and great characters, I'd recommend it. Berserk was good but unfinished so it did have its issues, flawless animation though.
I've not read very much at all so limited comedy manga.
I like Naruto [I recently caught up with the anime] so I need to wait for the end to be adapted. The Last was good though.
Haha. I'm like you but instead of anime, it's manga.
Oh, violence is my second name. Maybe. It would've been if I could name myself. But no one listens to a 1 day old.
Oh, I've hit a manga rut since they hacked and shut MangaTraders down. Reading manga on my tablet just doesn't seem as fun.
How can you wait that long? I'd be so anxious. I hate waiting for the end if I know it's available somewhere!
I shall stalk your list as soon as my cat stops trying to kill my laptop. Also maybe after food. I'm hungry.
A wide range of manga. I should ask, how did you first get into manga? I just can't, so far I've really liked 1 series only.
Violence in anime I thrive for, it'd be interesting to meet someone with that for a name though.
I use my laptop for everything but there are a few good sites for english scanlated manga. Not sure how many but some.
Easy, I like anime not manga and I don't search for spoilers/talk to those that will spoil the content for me. It isn't that hard to avoid spoilers. The only down side of being an anime only fan.
Have fun, it is incredibly large compared to most users. Well I'm off for the time being so enjoy. It has been nice chatting with you.
I've always been a book nerd. So it's easier for me to read then to watch. Added to that, until recently my internet's download speed was as slow as slow can be. So I didn't have much of a choice.
I think I know someone with that name. Though they changed it t Violence themselves after turning 24.
I like bulk downloading so apps are much more convenient for that.
Yeah, but say you come to know that xxx has ended. Wouldn't you want to know how it ends? I'd probably end up reading a spoiler just to know. I must know!
It's ridiculously large.
Have a good night! It was nice chatting with you too!
That doesn't help me, I've never really enjoyed reading books. So no other tips then?
I just stream everything, the same goes for manga.
It depends on the series, since I'm a new fan of Naruto it doesn't matter because I began watching it basically when the manga ended. I like seeing things animated so I don't mind waiting.
Did you see anything that caught your attention on my list?
Well, you could look at the fact that so many amazing manga series will never be turned into anime. You'll be missing out on a lot. Also, some anime don't even finish the storyline of the manga. Kuroshitsuji, Skip Beat, Ouran High Host Club. The anime of these are just like previews. I'd be sad not to know how it actually ends..
I'm very impatient. I'm not keen on waiting for the buffering to finish so streaming isn't for me.
Oh. I've been following Naruto since I was 11. Now I have this empty feeling. No more Naruto..
I saw a lot that caught my attention. I'm waiting to be free so that I can start watching some. Death Note, for one.
Haha I used that exactly to try and convince someone to watch subs. Didn't work and now I see why. Kuroshitsuji was fine but didn't watch the 2nd season, Ouran was good but I don't care what happened to them after. Skip Beat I am curious about but I'd need to watch the anime first.
Usagi Drop is an example of a series that is better as an anime. Great anime but the manga...
Waiting for buffering, I remember that. The bane of the streaming world.
Haha I can understand that. For me being only recently coerced into watching it I more feel that it is a fun watch but I'm not overly attached.
Ah Death Note, great series but then again I'm sure you knew that already.
Do you have a MAL or AP?
Great minds think alike? Haha. Kuroshitsuji is actually pretty bleak and boring to read unless you're the type to fangirl over the Butler. (I am). Ouran was okay but the manga was VERY funny. I read it for the laughs. Skip Beat is the best. It's unlike any other shoujo I've read. The anime is crap compared to the manga. Even has hints of smut here and there.
Usagi Drop and the Gundam series. I have to watch them both. Someday soon!
I know. My internet isn't that good either. Buffering..
Yeah, I like Pokemon, BayBlade and Naruto to my childhood. Bleach and FMA too.
I've read the manga but now I really want to watch Death Note's anime.
Kuroshitsuji was only okay, I wasn't a fan of any character.
I have heard some of what happens after Ouran's anime stopped, but I'm sort of over the series. I watched it years ago.
Yeah I'd still be more interested in checking out Skip Beat's anime first.
I'd recommend Usagi Drop, it surprised me with how good it was. I've not watched anything Gundam but I feel like I need to watch the first ever Gundam though eventually.
I never finished watching Beyblade, I think I stopped at season 3. I should go back. I'm 2/3 through Bleach and I've not seen much FMA [I will watch it all some day].
Knowing what will happen in Death Note's anime though, I wonder if that'll ruin it?
No MAL or anything? Weird, I thought you'd need something to record your manga completed. With my list as large as it is I need something to record everything.
That might have something to do with your lack of boobs. Sebastian is very awesome.
I don't even remember what happens in Ouran anymore. It's been so long. I'll probably have to re-read that and Vampire Knight.
The anime will ruin it for you! It did for me.
I'll probably start with that as soon as I adjust to the summer heat. So during winter, probably.
I just want to watch Gundam because a friend of mine has been talking about it non-stop and I would really like to know why.
I think I saw all of it on Cartoon Network. I'm currently trying to watch FMA Brotherhood.
I don't keep track. There have been so many times I've ended up re-reading the same manga because I forgot I'd read it. But I'm not a very organized person so it doesn't bother me.
Either that or after the curry episode I didn't care for the series anymore.
Ouran, reverse harem of rich guys, that is all that is needed to be known. I blame vampire knight for my hatred of the romance genre.
Considering I won't read Skip Beat unless I watch it first that might have to be the price I pay.
11 episode Usagi Drop is a nice relaxing watch, if you like it do yourself a favour and don't start the manga.
Because Gundam is just one of those franchises that have die hard fans. It deserves them since its been going since the 80s but meh, I just can't bring myself to start one.
I have seen 4 eps of FMA only, so you're in front of me at least.
It can be rather stupid. Again, it's mostly for fangirls.
Heeeey, Vampire Knight's manga wasn't THAT bad. I don't know about the anime.
Okay, I'll start downloading Usagi Drop today or tomorrow.
So a long running series? I quit Naruto's anime because it just seemed never ending.
I've seen FMA and I've seen half of the FMA Brotherhood season 1. But I have no motivation anymore. I have an anime block.
L *¬* <3
I usually find out within the first few pages. But still, I don't mind. I finished re-reading Half Prince in one day. So it's okay.
I'm fine with stupid anime, but kuroshitsuji doesn't count as one to me.
Well as an anime it was bad for me, I wanted supernatural themes and instead got crap portrayal of vampire love story.
There are no guarantees you'd like it.
Gundam has a whole bunch of different versions, it isn't 1 long running series. It makes the franchise look confusing.
