You finished both the Naruto manga and anime? I know you were close for the manga but the anime? I thought you had more than 100 eps to go. How'd you do it? I take it you still enjoyed the whole thing, but the more pressing matter is will you start Boruto now?

Yes, for us it's not even close to 10 years. I'm just not good at minor characters.

This weeks ep was brilliant, or atleast the first part was. We need more episodes with Hasegawa as main character. In the 2nd part, i loved how they used Detective Conan music when the case was closed. They use that music in Conan too when Conan is explaining the case.

I have to admit, i cheated with the anime. I just watched 1 episode every so many manga chapters and skipped the rest. It's all the same anyway. The ending was different though, in the manga they show what i think is in the Boruto movie while in the anime they show the wedding. I liked that Naruto asked Iruka-sensei to act as his father during the wedding.

My idea for now is to pick one airing anime to watch weekly, currently Gintama, and do the rest in manga form. Currently reading Tokyo Ghoul, which mafia told me is different from season one onwards.

I've missed Hasegawa so much, shades assassin. But then feels from nowhere. I thought it was just meant to be comical. But I loved everything about the assassin story.

You cheater! I wouldn't say it is the same exactly, there was a lot of filler in those eps too. I liked the Iruka part too, he was a good character. You'll have to watch The Last and Boruto movies now to finish up.

One new release huh, interesting. I don't think I can do that unless I have a lot less free time. I'd get too bored of a single show nowadays, I'd also finish it too fast. Tokyo Ghoul changes a lot I've heard, but I can't be bothered to read it. Let me know if it is any good.

I loved the ''life is precious'' comment while putting a sniper on the roof edge. That was so brilliant xD But yes i agree, the story was good, even though it was very short. I liked it more than the shinsengumi story.

That's true, but i have less than 1% interesest in most fillers tbh. Sometimes they can be fun to watch, but.. I was browsing through the filler list and towards the end they did 30 episodes of fillers. That's 30 weeks, about 7 months not progressing the story.

I will watch the movies, not sure yet when, but i definitely will. The thing for me with watching too many shows at once if i can't watch for one week i don't know where to start anymore and end up watching nothing and they'll just pile up you know.

I liked how he really was just there to hunt a boar. But Hasegawa running all over the city just for a chance to die. That assassin pair had style. Much better than the shinsengumi part, although I did like seeing the Miwarigumi leader again.

Oh I know, I was watching it for that full 30 weeks just thinking the whole time how it could have already ended. It carried on for a long time. Although there was some fun filler stuff, but 30 weeks was too much. Couldn't believe I caught up for The Last movie, then got hit with filler instead.

I understand that feeling, but I actually kind of like it. I choose my favourite ones first and progress from there, then I go by which were released most recent/longest ago, whatever I feel like. Although I do lose a whole day catching up but I don't mind since I don't have anything else to do.

I did enjoy seeing him, but one problem i had was, didn't he die in the farewell shinsengumi arc? I guess they really don't care about that stuff if it aint part of the actual story..

This week was a good example. I didn't have time for the 2 weekly shows i watch (The Walking Dead and Gintama) so i still need to watch those, probably next week 2 eps of both. It helps alot if i don't have anything else to watch now.

I have caught up with the Tokyo Ghoul manga to the point where the first season ended. I understand now what they meant. Some parts are the same as season 2, but suddenly it takes a completely other turn and the story becomes alot different and better than the series. There is a season 3 coming in 2018 so they might pick up the real story there. Season 2 can be considered almost entirely filler.

I wanted to end my wall of text there, but today i found this on youtuube thanks to a suggestion on MAL. Nissin Cup Noodles x Gintama. They are going to make a few short episodes of that.

Yes he did die [as far as we know at least], but this is the slip arc. These are the chapters in-between all the serious shit that went down last season. So characters are allowed to be back regardless. That is why I am hoping for one last very memorable appearance from you know who. Please give us one more episode with them Sorachi.

I understand that feeling, I understand it completely. luckily for me my "nothing else" is sunday so I watch EVERYTHING that comes out that I've missed then. It was a good day, I spent the whole thing watching crap released over the 3 days.

Season 2 was crap [although I apparently rated it a 6], if we can pretend it didn't exist with the new instalment then all the better. Although I had forgotten about the next one even being announced. I didn't really want a continuation, ha. I'll probably still watch it since I've seen everything else of Tokyo Ghoul so far. As long as it is better than I'll watch more gore potential anime.

Bato you legend. I first saw this existed through your message. Then MAL's notification. Your links, perfect. Although that is the whole thing, the are commercials so they won't be getting any longer. But oh my god, I enjoyed the hell out of those. One more episode like the one in the snow. That one was so great. Assuming ofcourse you are talking about Shogun Shigeshige. I would love one more episode with him, knowing Sorachi it is a good possibility especially after we had one with the mimawarigumi chief.

Other interests, idk about that. Anime (and manga) is a great hobby to have. Since i'm reading manga now i'm busy with it throughout the entire day. I can't say i dislike that. Since it's Tokyo Ghoul someone told me she was hungry the other day, i said here eat my hand that's what ghouls do. It just slipped out like that.

I have completely finished the original manga now, currently reading the prequel Tokyo Ghoul:re. I have to get back at what i said earlier, not everything was filler in season 2. The end fight was real and also the fight in the ghoul prison was real only on a different location in the manga.

A way better location for the story. He also doesn't join aogiri, i completely hated that since he hates the organisation (sorry if that's spoilers). So those scenes were adapted from the manga, only the other turn it takes in the manga is so much better for the story. I guess that's because it's thought up by the mangaka himself.

The thing i want to correct is, they probably are not going back to the original story for the things they let slip, since the last battle with the owl has already happened, they are probably going to adapt the 2nd manga Tokyo Ghoul:re. I've now read 10 chapters of that and i'm not sure yet what to think of it. The story is so much different after a timeskip of 3 years. I can't describe it cuz it's all spoilers.

Yeah i kinda figured they were commercials. I want Gintama in commercials here in Holland XD That would be so awesome.
Also, i noticed Gintama is ending after 12 episodes, do you have any reccomedations for the upcoming winter season?

Shigeshige of course, if we could get an amazing quality one like the snowboarding section then it'd be just fine by me. Exactly, Sorachi does what he wants so I thought we had a good chance. But it doesn't seem too possible now since we've got more Otsu coming up. I'm so happy she's back but I want Shigeshige as well.

Oh my. Manga is influencing your daily interactions. I miss that. I find that I'm the only one thinking about anime when stuff is slightly referenced in daily life. Did she look at you funny after that or what?

I knew some of S2 was real and that the Aogiri shit was filler. That seemed too weird of a choice so I wonder why the anime went with that? Just please for the love of god tell me that the manga ended better than the anime did with the walking forever and just ending at a fight.

See I'll probably end up watching Re when it comes out too, even if I'm not the biggest fan so I guess I'll see some of it for myself next year then.
Speaking of other Tokyo Ghoul, you should check out the OVAs of Pinto and Jack now that you're finished the main series? I kind of liked them but can't remember too much about either.

Still, official commercials with Gintama being Gintama is amazing. I'll take whatever I can get with this franchise.

I'm very happy with Otsu too. Haven't yet seen this weeks ep but the first one was great. I also want another Hasegawa ep. I know we already had one but i want more.

She watches anime too and i knew that so that might have made it easier to say. But yes, she was looking weird at that time. It made her laugh though. Well shouldn't let it get to an extreme, that's with any hobby people can have. It's fun untill it takes an extreme amount of time, you know.

I still have no clue why they made Kaneki join Aogiri. It was a really stupid decission and i can't believe Ishida Sui was happy with it.

I will probably watch the anime aswell even though i already know what will happen. 40 chapters in now, it's still abit weird but i really like some aspects of it and some characters are fun.

Anime is my hobby because I don't like anything else, so I have it consume most of my time. Otherwise I just complain that I'm bored al the time, even when playing video games or after hanging out with friends.

I think I'll watch Re out of obligation since I've seen everything else of it. Rather than because I enjoy it. Bad isn't it?

Gintama is just pure fun. The it is bad arse. Feels. It is everything in one unorthodox package.

I clicked the 2017 one you linked out of curiosity, without subs it isn't as fun. But also the event seemed less worthwhile as well. No DOES. No new footage. No Otsu performance. I skipped through and closed the video rather quickly.

So now that Gintama Perry Hen is over, we get to look forward to watching the Silver Soul arc. The final arc of Gintama. I don't want it to end.

That arc was funny but i liked the episodes afterwards more. About the guardian spirits. Hasegawa being one and before that becoming a zombie. Katsura and his corolla.

I guess i did get what i asked for in more Hasegawa and i certainly enjoyed it. But yeah Shigeshige would have had priority because we won't see him come back ever again :(

Atleast you'll watch it. I'm not gonna be too positive about it, i even thought about dropping it. It made me start 3 other manga's on top of TG:Re because i needed something else. One of them is Uchuu Kyoudai. From chapter 1 onwards. Enjoying the amazing story all over, it's so good again.. Nowhere near catching up to where they left off yet though.

I realised it wasn't subbed right after i send you that message. Sorry if i brought your hopes up. I guess the hiatus is still going on then. That really sucks. If only they could read our messages, they might reconsider xD

So Gintama is really going to end after this? I don't want to believe it. I want them to start another endless season like the first season after this. Atleast 200 episodes of parody/comedy episodes and once in a while a serious arc. I'm thinking of starting all over if it ends and watch 1 episode every once in a while so i can still enjoy it.

Almost forgot, you tagged me a while ago in the list of best One Piece moments. I want to reply to it but there might be spoilers in there, so for now i'm gonna wait with that. It might take a while but i will post my opinion there if the thread isn't outdated by then.
