Thankfully Leo couldn't see her face, but she slightly flushed at the comment of her lap being the most comfortable pillow he rested his head on for a while. It was getting rather late but in all honesty she didn't mind. This was in fact the first time she actually sat an talked with someone, even tho the conversation was slightly short with him passing out on her, but for Katsume, she always picked fights with people. This was a rather nice change of pace, and possibly a pace she could get used to, providing they would be ok with her tagging along. She left Leo sleep for a little while longer, before she would help him to his feet. She looked up at the sky and thought for a moment, wondering if he an Red had ever stayed at an inn before. Seemed like a lot of work to pitch a tent. The room she booked would have been big enough for the lot of them and she thought to offer them to stay with her, but wasn't sure how awkward it would be as she had always stayed in rooms by herself. Just as she was about to wake Leo up she heard rushing footsteps behind her. She looked up at a slightly breathless Red...

She realized having Leo sleeping on her lap would probably raise a lot of questions with Red, so before he could say anything else she pressed a finger to her lips and 'shushed' red. She began to speak in a hushed tone
"He uh... kinda passed out. If you can help me lift him up, I have a room just upstairs, you guys can crash their this evening. I will talk to the keeper and will take care of cost for our friend in there"
she nodded her head in the direction their amnesiac friend was in.
    "But first things first"
she gently lifted Leo's head and pulled his arm over her shoulder
    "Care to help me?"
she looked up at red wanting him to take Leos other arm and help her stand

Falicita was in a relaxed state, she had placed a wash cloth over her eyes and drifted to sleep for a moment, she would often nod off in the hot springs, so this was the norm for her and she would often wake up after 5 or so minutes, dress and head to bed. The hot springs often put her in a extremely relaxed state. Her nodding off was suddenly interrupted by a familiar voice and in that moment, she completely forgot she was sitting in all her glory, in a hot springs. She just simply responded back..
"Agree, lets just relax and keep the business for the morning"
it then kicked in...'wait.....oh no!'....her eyes flew open and without thinking, she tried to quickly get up hoping she could hide or make a run for it before he came in, but then ....the washcloth fell from her face and she realized it was far to late. Her heart began to race...There he stood in front of her, and she in front of him, stark naked. She was frozen on the spot, her expression on her face was the expression dear make when caught in headlights, she was trying to think of a way out of this. 'Think Falicita....think!!!!'
She quickly turned her back to him, covering herself every way possible, and began mumbling, making it sound like she was cursing her brother under her breath. Just as she was cursing, an idea just clicked...'PERFECT!' she thought 'I can pretend like my brother didn't inform me that we had 'company 'and make this all look like an accident ' And when they have their meeting in the morning to talk business, she while being her brother, would mention that his 'sister' left early. It was a 'in the heat of the moment excuse ' and she had completely forgotten that she wore her brothers clothes in and even acknowledged their meeting in the morning. Growing up, her brother would often point out how she had often forgotten little details, when trying to get out of something or when she would get caught doing something she wasn't supposed to and this really wasn't any difference, but considering the circumstance she gave it her best

Despite the little detail, she was a rather good actor and could be very convincing at time and hopefully this was enough to save her ass, so to speak. She looked over her shoulder her cheeks flushed, as if she was embarrassed.
"I.. I'm terribly sorry, my brother didn't tell me we had company"
She wasn't really embarrassed, this was just part of her act. In fact she was rather used to being walked in on by a man. After all she did reside in a large house ran by her and her brother and he often had company stay for meetings and it was often like him to not inform others of the schedule for the hot springs. Keeping herself covered, she turned and began to walk out of the water
"I will be sure to have a word with him about this..... I'm done, so please free to stay and enjoy the hot springs"
She looked up at the doorway and a sense of relief came over her, if she can just get to the exit, hopefully it worked and he believed her. As she began to pass her she actually got really nervous and it was obvious on her face, hopefully he sees is as her being nervous cause of the awkward situation and not catch on, he can't find out. 'Please let this work' she thought to herself.

Red had his suspicions about the scene in front of him, despite his mind still being a little hazy from his rude awakening. However, at the mention of a free place to sleep for the night, he quickly overcame those suspicions, giving a quick "eh" and a carefree shrug. He walked over to the unconscious Leo and helped Katsume pick him up.
    "Sure, not a problem."
With the two of them working together, Red and Katsume easily lifted Leo to his feet. Red let Katsume lead the way back into the inn. While they were walking, he glanced over to her with a slight look of suspicion.
"So, uh, just to be super clear about this."
He hesitated for a moment, unsure if he wanted to hear the answer to his upcoming question.
"You didn't, like, knock him out cold or anything, right? He just passed out from the alcohol...right?"
To be fair, Red hadn't gotten a chance to get to know Katsume like Leo did, so he was a little concerned for his friend's well-being.

    "Well, this is...unfortunate."
That was the first thought that came to Theodoric's mind as he saw not Kaname, but rather Falicita in the hot spring. He quickly turned to the side, averting his gaze and perhaps hiding his face as well, as his cheeks flushed ever so slightly.

He cleared his throat somewhat awkwardly.
"Oh, not at all, I should be the one offering apologies. I should have...double-checked who was in here before I stepped in."

"Ah...that would be quite nice, thank you."
Still feeling a great deal of discomfort at this awkward situation, he gave a halfhearted reply as Falicita passed by right behind him. More than anything else, he wanted this awkward moment to be over and done with so he could relax and finally turn in for the night. However, he knew that he could not leave things as they were. Ever since he arrived, deep down, he knew that something was not quite right, and now all the pieces were fitting together. Kaname's odd behavior and weapon choice, Falicita's convenient absence and sudden reappearance, the clearly male clothes sitting at the entrance where no female clothes were present, all signs pointed to one explanation. He knew what needed to be done. As he turned to the spring, back facing Falicita, he spoke up again just as she was about to reach the exit.
"I pray you sleep well tonight. We have a great deal to discuss in the morning..."
He paused, letting out a heavy sigh.
"...Much more than I could have imagined when I first arrived, it seems. Isn't that right..."Kaname"?"
There was a slight hint of accusation in his tone.
"Out of all the ways one can greet an old friend, deception might very well be the foulest. I will hear your explanation in the morning."
Even with clenched fists and a furrowed brow, he still managed to keep his composure as he stepped into the spring.

Katsume could understand Reds concern for Leo, considering they only met that evening. She chuckled at the question and responded with a smile
"As much as I would love taking credit for this...."
she looked over at Red and smiled
"I can't take credit for your friend passing out here"
she shook her head and continued laughing
"We were just talking and well, I guess the alcohol and exhaustion got to him and he passed out. I didn't want to disturb him so I just left he be while I pondered a few things. I was able to wake him just long enough to find out the two of you didn't have a place to sleep for the night"
She adjusted as Leo was starting to slip
"He mentioned sleeping in a tent before passing out"
she then looked down at Leo
"And judging by how tired he is, I didn't think he would be capable of putting a tent together"
The reach the door to her room which was on the 2nd floor, she pulled her key out and opened it. The lamp on the table was already lit, the little flame dancing on the wick barely lit up the room, but it was lit up enough to see the size of the room. They walked in and stopped at the foot of the bed.
    "Here we are"
She shrugged Leo off her shoulders and allowed his body to drop on the bed, she gently guided him down.
"feel free to make yourself at home"
She walked over to the lamp and turned the wick to brighten the room, she then stepped out of the room for a moment, returning with extra pillows and blankets. She tossed one on the couch, another she covered Leo up with, the third she threw on a small chair in the corner next to the door, where she planned to sleep. Traveling by herself, she often slept close to the door in order to keep watch in case anyone tried to rob her. She turned to Red
"I'm not sure how you and Leo do sleeping arrangements, but feel free to sleep where you want"
She then walked over to the table, where a rather large bag sat. It was the bag she had when she arrived at the inn, she just had the keepers take her things to her room. She rooted through her bag for a moment, and pulled out a bottle of liquor a long with a couple shot glasses. She then pulled the chair out from under the table, spun it on its one leg and sat, facing the opposite side in a straddle. She poured herself a shot and then a second shot, before placing the bottle down on the table. She looked over at Red and held the shots up
    "hmm?"
offering him a drink. She then placed the glass on the table and downed her shot, before pouring herself another and downing that one as well.

Falicita froze and her eyes widened when he mentioned her brothers name, she suddenly had the feeling as if she was just kicked in the chest. 'damn' she thought. The tone of his voice made it obvious he was onto her, she had to think quickly to throw him off. She clenched her fist and let out a agitated groan, more so to make it apparent that she was annoyed by his tone.
    "It's Falicita!"
She turned on her heel to face him not caring that she was stark naked
"I am not my brother, we may be twins but there are obvious differences"
She huffed as she turned back around and stormed out of the hot springs before he could say anything else. In the changing room laid her brothers clothing, and then it clicked. He must have saw the clothes and put two and two together. She threw her head back and let out another groan while mumbling to herself
"How could you be so stupid"
She paced back and forth in the room annoyed with herself
"Kaname was right, attention to detail. UGHHH!!"
She punched the wall out of frustration and then realized it fucking hurt. She shook her hand trying to shake the pain away before grabbing it with her other. She stood there for a moment to compose herself. She sighed, knelt down and gathered her brothers clothing. She almost exited the room but then realized she was still unclothed. She walked over and grabbed a towel and wrapped it around herself. Then an idea clicked in her head.... She placed the clothing back where they laid, where Theo saw them. It would be obvious if she took the clothing, that she was dressing like her brother, but if she left them... maybe he would think her brother was just left them lay and she could use that as a cover up. After all, it wasn't uncommon for people to leave their clothes lay for the staff to clean up. She looked back to make sure Theo wasn't watching, or around. The last thing she needed was him seeing her placing the clothes back. She then peeked outside of the door to make sure no one was around, and bolted for her room. Inside she got dressed and then paced around her room for a while. She was rather nervous, how will tomorrow morning go? She obviously wouldn't be sleeping well tonight. He felt deceived by her brother, but it wasn't her brothers fault, it was hers, if only he knew the situation she was in. She sat at the foot of her bed
"UGH where the hell are you?"
She flopped back on her bed and quickly fell asleep, she was rather exhausted......

OOT im gonna skip ahead a little here and say its morning.

She woke bright and early as usual, making sure no one was around, she then snuck into her brothers room to change into his clothes, she wrapped a bandage around her chest to hide the obvious. She looked in the mirror and sighed, how will this meeting go? She was rather nervous to say the least, will he confront her? or did what she say stick?
She took a deep breath and headed into the office and sat at her brothers desk. She proceeded to look over papers until Theos arrival. She hoped thing would go smoothly.

Red eyed the couch briefly and shrugged.
"Couch works fine for me. I'm not too picky about where I sleep, and that looks downright cozy compared to some of the places I've woken up in."

Giving a slight smirk in reply, Red picked up the glass, but he started having second thoughts just as he was about to take the shot. His expression turned sour in disappointment as he reluctantly set the glass back down.
"Nah...not tonight. If I drink now after all the fun I've already had, I'm afraid the cumulative hangover will actually kill me."
With a wistful sigh, he continued.
"But don't let me stop you, go nuts."
He leaned back on the couch, hands behind his head as he stared up at the ceiling.
"So, that guy we found today. The hell are we gonna do with him? I've never dealt with somebody having amnesia before."
He turned his head towards Katsume.
"Right, forgot to mention, I was fading in and out most of the time but I caught just enough to know his memory's gone."
    Then he looked back up.
"I mean, I guess we should help him look for his sister, but...well, how are we gonna do that if even he doesn't remember what she looks like? You think there's some way to help him get his memory back? Oh, wait, we should probably focus on treating his wounds before we help him remember his past. He must be made of pretty tough stuff if he survived a fire like that. You think maybe he was some badass adventurer or something?"

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

After visiting the hot springs but before turning in for the night, Theodoric acted on a hunch and did a little investigating. He saw Kaname's clothes at the entrance even after Falicita left which almost convinced him that he was worried about nothing, but he started asking around just in case. After talking to some of the servants around the castle and some of his own men, it turned out that nobody has seen Falicita for the last few days, and as far as they knew, she was out on a mission. The servants directed him to Falicita's room, and his heart sank as he approached, unsure if he wanted to know the answers to the questions running through his mind. He knocked, and sure enough, there was no answer from the inside.
    "Riddles in the dark."
He grimly muttered to himself as he went back to his room. Once there, he signed off on a small pile of orders that his men would execute in the morning, including a missive to be delivered to Alkelda and Ranulf with all haste. Afterwards, he laid down in his bed and fell into an uneasy sleep, as the worries of tomorrow weighed on his mind.

The next morning, Theodoric woke up and dressed himself for the meeting. The same troubles still weighing on his mind, he rather slowly made his way to Kaname's office. Once he arrived, he took a moment to steel himself, giving a small sigh as he did so. With a renewed resolve, he knocked on the door.
    "Kaname, I'm coming in."
He stepped inside and saw Kaname going through some papers. Or at the very least, he saw "Kaname" going through papers.
"I hope the morning finds you well, friend."
His greeting sounded sincere enough, despite the half-hearted effort behind it.
"Tell me, are your hot springs as exquisite as ever? I was just thinking they would be the perfect way to unwind after we have concluded our discussion today."
It was a simple misdirection, and it would be easy enough to see through if one were paying attention, but Theodoric wanted to see if he could provoke some kind of reaction with this question. He was watching very carefully, almost suspiciously, for subtle changes in "Kaname's" body language, even the slightest hint that "he" might remember the incident last night.

When he turned down the shot, Katsume shrugged and downed it herself as if it was nothing. She often liked having a few shots for a "night cap". She spoke as she poured herself one more shot, placed the cork back on the bottle and placed it bag.
"Judging by his clothing, he seems to be someone of a importance, like a leader or something"
She shrugged then leaned in on the table, resting her chin on her fist, her other hand twirling the shot around in the glass.
"I suppose our best bet would be to check nearby clans and see if anyone recognizes him. I mean he couldn't have gotten to far in the state he was in, so I'm almost positive we will find someone who knows or maybe recognizes him"
she looked over at red and raises her brow
"Lets just hope he wasn't a traveler or we may be biting off more than we can chew"
She then looked down at the glass, while thinking about what he said about the wounds
"I've tended to his wounds and thankfully they aren't to bad, if he rests tonight, we can try to see if he is able to stand and move around in the morning. I can keep tending to his wounds when needed, as we travel. I also have some medicine for pain if need be "
She patted on her bag and smiled.
"I suppose we should all get some sleep, morning will be here before we know it"
She set the last shot on the table for a moment, got up, stripped of everything but wrap she had around her chest and her undies, and neatly placed her clothing in the bag. She then picked up the last shot and downed it. While placing the glass back in her bag, she pulled out a short sword, then placed her bag on the ground. She dimmed the oil lamp until the fire went out, then walked over to the nearby chair, dragged in over to the door, setting it just in front of the door, facing it. She placed her sword in the area between the wall and the chair. Settled herself in the chair and sat for a moment staring at the door. After a moment of silence she spoke
    "Sleep well"

After the alcohol kicks in, she herself would fall asleep

Falicita looked up from the papers when he said he was coming in. She took a deep breath right before he entered and exhaled. 'moment of truth' she thought. When Theo commented on the morning, she smiled and nodded. She relaxed at how sincere his greeting sounded.
"I hope your morning is going well for you, I hope your accommodations were to your liking?"
She looked back down at the paper, finishing up the area she was reading. As she was finishing up, Theodoric mentioned the hot springs. Her grip tightened ever so slightly on the paper she was holding. 'what is he trying to pull here?... ok Falicita, don't make it obvious, just think like Kaname."
looked up at Theodoric and smiled
"They are, from what I have heard from other guests. Its one of our main attractions here, you should take a moment to relax before your travels. "
She began shuffling the papers as if organizing them
"Unfortunately, I have other matters to attend to after our meeting, so I wont be able to join you"
she was planning to go to nearby villages and ask if anyone had seen her brother, since she had no luck with finding anything the day before. She was slightly nervous but avoided the eye contact for the mere moment by keeping her focus on the papers. She feared if she looked up at him right now, he would see right through her, and see how nervous she was with him being in the room, after last nights incident. Keeping her eyes on the paper she spoke
    "Please have a seat"
she gestured to the chair on the opposite side of her
"I'm just finishing this up real quick and we can begin our meeting"
More like buying herself some time to calm her nerves. In the time it took him to settle in the chair, she finished the organizing. 'Well here goes'
She looked up at him, folded her arms on the desk
"Now then, you said you had a few things you wanted to discuss with me?"
She was starting to feel nervous looking at him.
"Care for some tea, I had one of my staff make some so it was nice and hot for our meeting"
Before letting him answer, she got up and headed over to the table and started pouring the tea into two cups.

    New character!
    Name: Raiozen
    Age: N/A
    Clan: Dreamcatchers
    Supernatural abilities: Dreamscape control
    Weapons: None

Leo, deep in sleep stirred within his own head, his body unmoving. Within his own dream he felt he was drifting slowly downward into nothing. His mind empty, his world ever so vibrant. The reality in his own consciousness as beautiful as the real world could be. Once his world opened up within itself, he lay in a patch of tall grass. He hears a stream off in the distance, and the subtle steps of doe marching. The wildlife lively, and ever present. Though an oddity lived inside of his dream on this night it seemed. When Leo turned his head to look towards the stream he noticed a man, he looked plain, nothing special about him, when the man turned to look at Leo it was clear that he had a weathered face, and wrinkling to show his age. Leo stood up, he proceeded slowly towards him and with caution.

“I harbor no ill will, towards you Leo, only guidance. I can see the many possibilities of your world, I have seen who you are, and I understand you more than you might think.”

Leo believed this arbitrary man to be an intruder in his own dream, considering he was a lucid dreamer this was out of the ordinary to him. “Who are you... why have you come?” The man motioned for him to come sit at the stream with him, Leo felt nothing ominous about him so he granted his request.

“I know who you seek, and why you seek him. I can provide you information on his whereabouts, his movements, his foundation, and everything you wish. Jonathan is within your reach, yet so far.”

Leo was skeptical in his own ideas, until he heard the name, though it could just be his subconscious he has to test it. “And, how can I believe you, trust your alleged information, or even acknowledge that you exist in any capacity. How would I know you’re not just something I imagined, something I created. I’ve been inside my own mind many of times, you cannot expect me to believe you this easily.”

Raiozen did not reply with words instead, he shattered the very landscape that surrounded them, creating an abyss of darkness around them, the sounds of wind overwhelmed Leo’s hearing, as suddenly a new world was created in front of him, it appeared as though a church was formed around them where they sat except no one else but Raiozen and Leo were there. “I can control the very fabric of your dreams, Leo, I am not limited to you, I can see all, I can hear all. I am not the only one, just one of many. I could have brought you to hell, or a battlefield, but within you is a connection to a higher being, or perhaps you’re the higher being.”

Leo, couldn’t argue with what was presented to him. Though bewildered he admittedly was in a great deal of disbelief. This seemed like voodoo or shaman ritual to him, it was so far fetched, and so... unbelievable. “So, if I believe you what is the catch for information.”

Raiozen looked towards Leo, waiting for eye contact. “Your desire for destruction speaks loud, so I must ask, what will you do after you kill him?”

Leo never thought of what to do after killing Jonathan, it actually never crossed his mind, He was speechless, but in return he answered his question. “I don’t know.”

Raiozen nodded, and after that he sent Leo tumbling into the abyss of his own mind, falling ever so deeper into nothingness. “Next time I visit you, I will provide you details, until then, reflect on what you will do.”

Leo, kept falling into nothingness until eventually, his eyes shot wide open, he flinched upon waking up only to realize it was all a dream, though... it all seemed so real, it felt unexplainable. He laid in silence, listening to any conversation that might be taking place, and waited for Red and Katsume to fall asleep.

OOT: Jonathan will have an intro post soon.

Red raised an eyebrow at Katsume's rather odd sleep preparations, but kept his thoughts to himself.
"Seems like she's...a little paranoid. I wonder if there's a story behind that."
He let out a big yawn.
"Maybe I'll ask in the morning, I'm too tired to bring it up tonight."
He fluffed his pillow a little bit, pulled his blanket over himself, and quickly fell asleep.

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Seeing Kaname's reactions, Theodoric was certain of at least one thing now: He is definitely hiding something. He tried to catch Kaname's eyes to no avail, as if Kaname were purposely avoiding his gaze. Theodoric took a sip of the tea he was given.
"Excellent as always. I really should buy some of your clan's tea leaves before I return home; I had forgotten how relaxing this exquisite brew could be."
Even though he spoke with sincerity, his dull gaze showed how far away his mind truly was from his speech. He was already planning his next move, strategizing as if he were caught in a battle of words. He gently placed his cup down and just like any competent strategist, changed his tactics to suit the needs of the moment.
"Kaname, there is something I wish to tell you."
He looked directly at Kaname, again searching for a response beyond mere words.
"I do not have the opportunity to say this enough, so I hope you'll indulge me. I wanted to tell you that I truly value our friendship. Though we have only known each other for a few years relatively speaking, I feel as though we share a bond that spans multiple lifetimes. If you were ever in need, I would be there for you at a moment's notice, and I know you would do the same for me."
He chose his next words very deliberately.
"We have built a great deal of trust, you and I, and I value that trust greatly. You can tell me anything, Kaname. Even if you think that your secret is too dark to tell, know that I would never judge you. Even if you fear showing any kind of vulnerability, know that I would always support you."
He leaned forward in his chair towards Kaname, unshakable conviction in his eyes.
"Though we never took the Blood Oath, neither this time nor the last time I offered, I have always thought of you as a brother. You have no need to hide anything from me. Kaname, please...if there is anything at all that you wish to tell me, I am listening."
Though he had considered the possibility that he wasn't even talking to Kaname at all, he sincerely hoped that somehow, his words would get through.

Leo, upon hearing snoring, decided to get up. He looked around the room to make sure he could get around silently. He grabbed one blanket from the bed, walked over to red, and placed it over him. Before exiting the room, he gently picked up Katsume, carrying her over to the bed he placed her head on the pillow first, and then slightly eased the rest of her body into the bed. He pulled up a second blanket to cover her, so she wasn’t too exposed in the morning. After he tucked Red and Katsume, he headed for the door. He opened it as quietly as possible, and closed it just the same.

Leo waved to the innkeeper as he made his way out the door. Upon getting outside he walked directly to the woods, securing one of his many dead drops, he grabbed his quiver and his bow, he had about 10 arrows. Upon fastening his quiver, he walked bow in hand, and started tracking the closest source of food he could. He picked up on some deer prints, and slowly started to follow that, eventually he got to deer droppings, they weren’t the freshest but he was on the right track, it took him about 3 hours to find something fresh. He slowly observed the area and lightened his footsteps, taking long inhales and short exhales so his prey couldn’t pinpoint him so easily, about half an hour into it he finally got into shooting range of a deer.

One last long inhale he focused on the deer, Grabbing an arrow and drawing it back, He waited for the perfect moment and shot, He hit it directly in the heart, The deer dropped. Leo walked over to it and began to pray. “I’m sorry” his tone somber. He quickly skinned the deer, and took off as much meat as he could liberally afford, the birds and other predator will get the rest of the carcass. Hauling the pelt of the deer with him back to the inn.

about 3 hours had passed again for him to arrive back at the Inn there was no chance that Red and Katsume were asleep anymore. So to pay for the room that Katsume has let them stay in he traded the pelt and offered some of the food to the innkeeper for cooking for himself, Red, and Katsume. He sat silently at the bar waiting for them to come down.

OOT sorry for the delay in a reply, my mom visited from Pa and we were spending time with her.

When he mentioned having something to tell her, she froze. Tightening her grip on the cup she was holding. She was standing over by the table where she poured the tea. When he continued speaking she turned, keeping her gaze towards her cup. When he was finished, she was honestly touched and at the same time was at a loss for words. She wanted to tell him, she truly did, she didn't want to break the brotherly friendship her brother and Theo had. Yet at the same time she didn't really know him to know whether he could be trusted with such a secret. She looked up at Theo for a moment, it was obvious she was searching for the right words to say, yet a hint of nervousness showed.
    "I...uh....."
she quickly turned her back to him and sighed. What if he was like the others, what if she told him and he to would want to pressure her into merging clans through marriage. Granted, Theo looked like the kind and generous type, and his looks weren't all that bad either. Her face flushed and she quickly shook her head of the thought. Looks could be deceiving, he could by like the others. 'no I can't risk it'. She was silent for a moment searching for the words to say yet again while struggling with her thoughts. She turned and smiled and then chuckled nervously
"Sorry you kinda surprised me with your words... and to be honest, I have always thought of you as a brother as well"
'yes that's what Kaname would have said, after all he did talk highly of Theo and mentioned that he was like a brother to him once or twice'
walked over and leaned on the desk
"I had often told my sister of how close we were and I believe I may have mentioned telling her that you were like a brother to me. "
She laughed while scratching her head
"She would often get jealous of you"
She went serious for a moment
"But I can assure you everything is perfectly fine, we are just dealing with some minor issues with the clan size, nothing to be concerned about and nothing we haven't had to deal with before"
She thought maybe if she would ask him why he was so concern, it would throw him off her scent a bit. She tilted her head
"Is there a reason for your concern?"
She kinda gulped thinking she may have asked the wrong question. She was now holding her breath hoping her tactic would work and not backfire on her. She was even more nervous now, if this failed, she may have just broken the brotherly friendship they had.

Katsume was normally a light sleeper, but for some reason, this night was different and she slept rather heavy, whether it was the alcohol she consumed or because of how late they went to sleep, whatever it was, allowed Leo the ability to move her without waking or alarming her. The sun light peeked in the cracks of the window, slowly moving as the sun was raising, making its way to Katsume's face. She was curled up in the bed with her arms wrapped around a pillow. This was the first time in a while that she had slept in an actual bed, she normally slept in a chair in front of the door. When the sunlight reached her face, she slowly opened her eyes and began to stretch. A split second later she jolted up realizing she was actually laying in the bed.
    "what the..."
She looked around the room and began to remember the night before but she remembered falling asleep on the chair. She didn't notice the sleeping Red on the couch and quickly ran towards the door, grabbing her short knife on the way out. She thought she had been robbed. She jetted out the door, looked around and when she didn't see them, she headed in the first place she would expect to find them. The bar, she stormed over
"Probably getting drunk with all my money"
She threw the door open and stepped in scouting the area. A random drunk popped up in front of her and commented how "sexy" she was. A second later the man was knocked flat on his ass.
    "NOT INTERESTED"
she scolded. She then spot Leo over by the bar and walked over to him, but as she approached him....she realized Red was no where to be seen NOR was he bag. In fact, she didn't even bother to look for either before she left the room, she just kinda went into a panic then a hunt for the possible culprit.
    "well this is embarrassing"
She chuckled, what was even more embarrassing was now all the men in the bar was gawking and drooling at her, but she didn't pay them no mind, nor did she seem to notice her attire.
    "I uh.....thought I was robbed"
She turned her gaze and her cheeked were flush she was genuinely embarrassed for assuming they would rob her. She had her reasoning for being paranoid.
"I guess I owe you an apology"
She looked at Leo and bowed out of respect
    "I'm sorry"

Leo turned to see Katsume, wearing nothing but her undies and her wraps, Though he took in the moment of seeing her so exposed, he knew he couldn’t let her stay in that kind of shape. When she bowed, Thanks to Leo’s quick thinking, he took off his pants, and handed them over to Katsume.

“No offense taken, I’d have reacted the same way, but after I checked the room. Needless to say... you might wanna take these until we get back to the room. I know you have a thing for me, but I wasn’t expecting you to be so forward about it.”

Leo waited for her to grab the pants and in anticipation of a punch he already had her half of the venison in his hand. He was smiling at her, when she look towards him.

“I got you some food, so don’t go swinging at me yet, at least let me enjoy the flavor before you go knocking it out of my mouth.”

Leo realized that he was wearing a loincloth but to be honest, the men definitely weren’t looking at either of them so long as he was also mostly naked.

“Little chilly isn’t it?” He remarked practically laughing at his own joke.

OOC: Whoops, forgot to reply again. School's been a bit stressful, and now my toast guy is here, so my nonsense will increase tenfold. Anyways, here I am again! Yay, it's morning, maybe my character can do something! For the moment, I guess I'll just leave Felicita alone with Theodoric, let you people do your thing.

Haru gets out of bed, yawning, and stretches his arms out, feeling refreshed. He then gets puts his day robe on, and checks his pockets and pouches to make sure everything is in its proper place. When he exits his room, he wanders around the estate until he finds a servant, and after a short conversation, is slightly annoyed at the fact that 'Kaname' is still in a meeting at the moment. With not much else to do but wait, Haru decides that meeting Amaya would fit perfectly into his schedule of doing nothing.

Haru manages to find the north corridor, and knocks somewhat softly on the last door to the right, pausing before slowly opening the door, the door slightly creaking as it opens.
"Amaya, I believe it was? I'm here to discuss your interest in the Blue Robes. Is there anything you'd like to know?"
Haru enters as he speaks, looking around the room as he does so.

OOC:You guys kind of scare me with your long posts, to be honest. Makes me feel like I don't really do much. Although that's just simply my writing style, I guess. I'm interested to see where this goes next. Especially with all the possibilities available.

When Leo began to take his pants off, Katsume instantly straightened herself and her eyes went wide. She was shocked and honestly wasn't sure why he would just randomly take his pants off in a full bar. It wasn't until he said that she might want to take them, that she realized how she herself was dressed. She nervously chuckled as she slipped them on
"I guess I should thank you"
She turned and noticed the bar gawking at them and shouted
"I suggest you all mind your eyes if you know whats best for you"
She gripped her short sword showing she was down for a fight. Everyone who was gawking instantly adverted their eyes. She then turned back to Leo, took the venison and took a hearty bite. After chewing and swallowing she smiled
    "This is rather good"
It wasn't until then that she noticed he was wearing a loin cloth.
    "Nice selection of undergarments"
    she chuckled
"I guess its a little chilly, but I don't mind"
She took a seat at the bar
"So we just going to sit here and eat dressed like this then?"
she chuckled while taking another bite of her food

Amaya had just finished getting dressed when she heard the door creek. She heard a familiar voice and turned
    "Oh its you"
she bowed out of courtesy plus it was expected of staff when someone of a higher standing entered the room. A second later she straighten herself.
"I hadn't expected you to visit me. I didn't think you would have time with your busy schedule"
She gestured to a table that sat next to a window, on the table sat a few plates of food
"Please help yourself, I made the food myself"
She walked over and took a seat in one of the chairs and thought of his question. She hadn't really thought about wanting to know anything about the clan. So she took a moment to think
"I guess we could start with, what does it take to be a part of the blue robe?"
She grabbed a plate and placed some food on it.
    "I hope you don't mind, I haven't eaten yet"

OOT:no worries, we tend to get a little carried away with our posts sometimes. We have been RPing for close to 6 years, some longer than others. Everyone has their style :)

“I’ve already eaten, I just wanted to let you and red sleep. I was a little bit more dressed when you folks were asleep, Probably a little less desirable than I am now.” He smiled towards her, Surprised that she didn’t want to take his head clean off his shoulders. Upon hearing the compliment of his loin cloth he replied smugly.

“I paid ahead of time for another night, we don’t need to use the room, but if you play your cards right we might be using it anyway.” Though Leo was having a decent conversation he couldn’t get his mind off of the dream he had the night before.

He paused to gather his thoughts. “Katsume, do you ever consider there might be higher beings in this world, beings that exist outside of reality or at the bare minimal exist above us like god does?” Pausing again. “Ah never mind. I just sound crazy asking something like this.”

Leo scratched his head and had some Irish cream liquor to compliment his breakfast. “It’s fresh deer meat, hunted it before anyone woke up, The innkeeper cooks it decently enough so it’s not like chewing through leather.”

Leo, wasn’t entirely convinced in going upstairs while Red was sleeping, but none the less he waited for Katsume to decide if he got his pants back sooner or later.

Red was woken up by all of the noise and sudden movement, but by the time he came to his senses and rubbed his bleary eyes to their full clarity, Katsume had already stormed out of the room.
    "Huh, whah? Whaddafug wuzzat?"
He wasn't sure what was going on, but if Katsume was running out of the room that fast, something must be up. He knew what he had to do as he mumbled, clearly still feeling groggy from the night before.
    "Arright. I got dis."
The moment those words left his mouth, he snapped into action with unbelievable agility, his body practically moving on its own as if he'd done this quite a few times before. Because he has. For various reasons. He reached his arm down to where his pants were resting and quickly threw them in the air, the start of the glorious sequence that he called his "Minuteman Technique," named for all the times he had to be out of his current abode in a minute or less. As the pants flew through the air, he leaned back onto his neck and shoulders and did a nearly flawless kip-up off of his bed, into his pants, and onto the floor.
Time for phase 2. Rather than standing fully upright, he went back down to the floor for a leg sweep, picking up his pack with his foot along the way. From there, he transitioned flawlessly into a roundhouse kick, his pack now flying in the air. He raised his arms and the pack slid down onto his back, just as planned.
Now for the final phase. On his way out the door, he grabbed his shirt in one hand and his sword in the other, then he dashed out of the room at record speed. His made his way down to the bar and caught a glimpse of Leo and Katsume, which means it's time for the grand finale.
    "Heads up!"
He called out as he threw his shirt, then his sword into the air, then he jumped up after them. He dived into his shirt, deftly slipping each arm into its respective sleeve, and on the way down he grabbed his sword. He rolled on the ground and drew his steel, ready for combat.
"Alright, are we doing this or what?!"
He looked around and saw that...everything was pretty calm and peaceful. He's the only one fired up about anything, much to his disappointment.
"Or are we just calmly eating breakfast? I guess that works too. It's just, I saw Katsume running out and-- you know what, forget it."
That was when he finally noticed the...state of undress the were in. He raised and eyebrow and gave them an awkward look.
"...Oh. I mean, I would ask, but I'm not sure I wanna know."

Theodoric slowly put down his teacup and let out a heavy sigh, muttering under his breath.
"Is there a reason? Is there, indeed?"
In that moment, the calm, peaceful aura he exuded started to change ever so slightly. He leaned in closer to Kaname, giving his old friend a suspicious, almost accusing stare.
"I was hoping you would give me the answer to that question, Kaname. Should I be concerned? Despite your claims that all is well, I cannot help but feel that the opposite is true. Why don't you tell me, Kaname?"
He laid his arms on the table and rested his head on his folded hands, moving closer to Kaname, his oppressive eyes piercing yet deeper.
"You've been acting strange since the moment I arrived, Kaname. Why won't you look me in the eyes? Are you afraid of what you'll find? Or are you afraid that I might find something in yours?"
    He leaned back slightly.
"I wonder, where is Falicita? I saw her on the way to the hot spring last night, but apparently, I was the only one. She is supposed to be out on a mission, is that right? I believe you may have mentioned as much. If not, your servants certainly believes that is the case, and my soldiers have not seen a single trace of her."
At this point, he was done with all pretenses of subtlety, as demonstrated when he casually abandoned his previous statement on the hot springs.
"Isn't it strange, Kaname? How I was apparently the only one to see her last night? I know your security is better than that, so it's not as though she passed beneath all notice, she must have made contact with somebody. But...what if she didn't? What if I really was the only one who saw her last night? Should I be concerned about that, Kaname?"

He leaned in closer once again, this time gripping the desk in frustration, staring down the person in front of them rather than just staring at them. Now, as he spoke, his words carried a bit of venom as would be expected from one who suspected that they were being lied to.
"Ah, Kaname...for the moment, I can only assume that is your name, even though you seem so unlike the Kaname I know. I would trust that man with my life. Yet I am not sure if I could trust the man sitting in front of me. Have you grown shorter, Kaname? It's not as though I've grown taller in the last few years, so there should be no difference comparatively speaking, yet you seem just the slightest bit shorter now. I thought it was just a trick of the eyes all this time, but now I wonder, should I be concerned, Kaname? That strange weapon you were using when I first arrived, it seems so unlike you to use such a tool, though I vaguely recall seeing your sister practicing with one some time ago. I thought that perhaps my mind was playing tricks on me, but now I wonder, should I be concerned? For that matter, just look at yourself sitting there. You have no confidence, no sense of authority, no regal bearing about you in the slightest! You constantly avoid my gaze like a man with something to fear. Perhaps a man with something to hide. At first I thought you must be under some great duress and you were not quite acting like yourself, but now I wonder, Kaname, should I be concerned? Well, should I?!"
At that moment, he realized just how far he had taken things. He expression filled with regret as he leaned back in his chair, covering his face in shame.
"I...I apologize. I lost my composure in a moment of weakness."

OOC: Don't worry about making your posts too short, just play things out however you want to do it. It's not about the size of the post, it's about how you write it. :p

    "I see"
she continued eating while Leo spoke. He mentioned paying for another night and stated that if she "played her cards right". She raised her brow at him, wondering what he meant by that. But shrugged it off cause the food was just too good and she wanted to keep eating vs talking. When she was asked if she ever considered there might be a higher being in this world, she paused mid bite, placed the food on her plate and thought for a moment.
"I suppose there could be a higher being, I mean, I never really considered it, but there are those who worship higher beings such as gods and what not. Plus I remember reading stories about them, so I suppose it could be possible"
She tilted her head wondering why he was asking but he seemed to have shrugged it off. Maybe it wasn't that important. She continued with her food, she decided she will bring the topic back up when she was finished.
"This is very delicious, I cant remember the last time I had a nice meal like this... mmmm"
She smiled as she took another bite, the question he had asked her kinda had her curious. With a full mouth of food, she spoke
"Why did you ask about a higher being, did something happen?"
She continued chewing waiting for an answer, but before she could get one, she heard a familiar voice call out "Heads up"

She turned her attention to Red for a moment who seemed to be showing off. She couldn't help but chuckle at his willingness to fight. When he explained the reason for his show, she chuckled
"Oh I apologize, that would be my fault"
She scratched her head and nervously laughed
"See...I kinda over reacted this morning. I uh...thought you guys robbed me while I was asleep"
    She shrugged
"I mean I fell asleep on the chair and woke up on the bed, and when I realized where I was...I instantly thought you guys had taken off with my things annnnd I kinda didn't waste any time looking in the room "
She flagged down the bar keeper requesting a round of drinks for her party, on her. Then continued speaking
"I went to track you guys thinking you would have made a run for it, and that's when I Leo here, with all this"
She motioned at the food, then took another bite
"I guess when I left the room, I left in a hurry that I forgot to put my clothing on...Leo here lent me his pants for the time being and.... well..... we have been sitting here chatting and eating"
She motioned at the chair next to them
    "Care to join us"
She then turned her attention back to Leo waiting for a response.

    'oh no this isn't good'
Falicita tensed up knowing this wasn't going to be good at all. She failed.....

She looked up at him when he mentioned not being able to look him in the eyes, and for a brief moment, a hint of fear and regret showed. She hated lying to her brothers best friend, but she had no other choice. She was honestly at a loss of words and couldn't answer him. She stood there staring at him, her body tense

She hadn't realized how much he had pieced together, she honestly was bad at details. She never thought about letting others see her, after he saw her in the hots springs, so she could understand the suspicion. A careless mistake she made on her own....

When she noticed him gripping the desk, she tensed even more and averted her gaze to the ground. She looked like a child that was being scolded, but is was no ones fault but her own. She failed to keep her secret hidden and the more he pointed out the things she neglected to take into consideration, the more she realized how badly she failed. He brought up the fact that she is shorter than her brother, something she never considered would be obvious, and he wasn't wrong, she was in fact shorter than him. 'this man really does know my brother' she thought. The height, the weapon, the hot springs, the way she acted, the fact she avoided his gaze cause she feared he would be able to notice how nervous she was around him.... all those things she neglected. She didn't want to ruin the friendship her brother and him had, and at this very moment she realized how much she was jeopardizing it.

When he sat down and apologized, she just stood there quietly for a moment, unsure of what to say. After a few moments of silence, she looked up at him with an apologetic look.
    "Is it really that obvious?"
She sighed, she couldn't keep it a secret anymore, she failed and he already knew something was up, so why continue lying?
She pushed herself off the desk and walked over to the door, making sure it was locked, what she was about to say, couldn't be heard outside of the room. She returned to where she was standing. It took a moment before she continued, she was trying to find the right words to explain everything.

"Please don't blame my brother for this, he has nothing to do with it"
She then walked over and sat down in her brothers chair.
"You have pretty much figured out, that I am not Kaname, that much is true. I am actually his twin sister Falicita, which explains why you were the only one who has seen me in the hot springs. I have been sneaking around and trying to make sure no one has seen the real me. You seeing me last night, that was a mistake on my part, and a stupid one at that, I probably should have been more cautious"
She had a disappointed look on her face, more because she was disappointed in herself.
"I didn't think last night, when I went into the hot springs, usually the hot springs are empty at that time of night and I usually go in at that time, every night to relax, my brother usually made a point to tell guests that the hot springs is "off limits" during the hour I am in there. But I had forgotten that detail when you and your men arrived "
She looked up at him and sighed, she had to explain why
"I have been pretending to be my brother for the past few days now, to make up for his absence. See my brother and I went on a mission a few days ago and rescued a woman in a burning house, My brother rushed in to save her and when he shoved the woman to me, a beam collapsed and I lost sight of him. I took the woman to safety and made sure she was okay, before returning back to the building. I called out to him, but got no response and I couldn't see him, the flames were too powerful for me to go in and save him, and the smoke was to thick to see him. So all I could do was sit and wait for the fire to settle, when it did, the building was nothing but ash and soot. So I searched, hoping to find a body or something, but because it was night time, it was rather hard to see and after several hours I had to give up. I couldn't return without him, so I chopped off my hair and when I returned, I told everyone that "Falicita" was continuing on the mission without me and that I had other things to attend to that was of more importance"
She looked down at the floor
"I went back the next day to look for him and I was only able to find his sword. I had given up my search after several hours and, on my way back, was when I ran into you and your group. I couldn't let you know who I was, so I made you believe I was Kaname... or ......at least I tried.
She paused a moment gripping the fabric of her clothing, it was obvious she was scared.
"If word got out of my brothers disappearance, other clans would find out that I am the leader. Our clan laws states that a woman cannot be a leader and therefore would be forced to marry into a clan of the elders choice, or whom they would deem the best suitor for me as well as our clan. I could also be forced to marry if our clan was in dire need or expansion, supplies etc. Something my brother has been avoiding at all cost. So to prevent any of that from happening, I have been pretending to be my brother since his disappearance to protect myself and my clan."
She looked up at him with regret
"I couldn't tell you because I was afraid, and I don't know you as well as my brother does and wasn't sure if I could trust you with my secret."
She know she betrayed Theo and worse was afraid she may have broken a close bond between them, so she did the only thing she thought would be acceptable. She stood up, walked in front of Theo, dropped down to her knees and clutched the fabric of his clothing, while bowing her head
"Please I beg you!! don't tell anyone about this and please don't let my betrayal ruin your friendship with my brother. I promise I'll do anything to make up for betraying you the way that I have"
She actually starting sobbing, this had all been so hard on her
"I...I can't keep doing this, I haven't a clue what I am doing. My brother always handled all these hard tasks, all these meetings and I just keep messing them up. I know my brother is alive out there, I can feel it. I...just can't let anyone know who I truly am, I have to keep this a secret. Please I beg you, keep this between us. I have no one to turn to for help without jeopardizing our clan...and...."
she took a deep breath before continuing
"....I'm so sorry for lying to you. Please I'll do anything you ask"

“It was merely curiosity” Leo smiled back at Katsume clearly hiding what he perceived to be reality. “See, I am a Christian so I believe in god, or at least have faith in a god who is of mercy and vigilance. I’m sure that to you it might be foolish, but for someone who has stared death in the face it seems logical and at the least gentle.”

Leo heard the thud of Red Landing behind him, he turned to look at him, waited and listened to Katsumes explanation for what was happening and then finally spoke up. “We got bored while you were asleep, played some strip poker, and well we only got to my pants. She is a dastardly good woman at cards, really it’s unbelievable!” Leo then pointed to Red, just a little bit below the belt.

“Take them off, I need them more than you. Besides...” with no correlation to his point. “You both got to sleep a fair amount I slept only a little so any cloth on my skin will be comfortable. I just really don’t wanna head back upstairs yet.” Leo grabbed the food that was made for red and tossed it at him before he could consider taking off his pants “eat up first, We’re gonna look for a group job today. I need money and Katsume might be good enough of a comrade for us to actually get something.”

    Katsume simply smiled
"I don't think its foolish at all. In fact I find it rather interesting, I mean... religion in itself is rather interesting. As long as it works for you, that's what matters the most. Everyone had their reasoning for worshiping the god or gods they choose and I am certainly not one to judge"
She continued eating as Leo spoke to Red. She began to drink when Leo told Red they were playing strip poker, the unexpected explanation caused her to spit out her drink. She then gave Leo an evil glare
    "Strip poker? THATS your story"
she wanted to sock him a good one, but refrained and waved the bartender down for a shot, she had a feeling this was going to be a long day, especially with these two. She downed her shot and ate a bit more while listening to Leo talk about getting a group job. As good of an idea it was, Katsume really didn't need to work, she actually had a bit of funds to her name. Since she had been traveling solo for a while, she often picked up odd jobs here and there for money or room and board. With the money she would get, she only used what she needed and saved the rest. In fact the night before, as well as the drinks she bought them, was the first she actually spent money carelessly. She decided to go along with the idea
"What exactly do you mean by a "good enough comrade"? are you implying something here"
She raised a brow at Leo awaiting for an answer. She was just giving him shit for the remark and was intrigued as to what type of job he had in mind. She leaned back in her chair and crossed her arms over her chest
"What if I don't want to work"
    she smirked
"and what are we gonna do with our friend in the other room?"
She pointed towards the room that the amnestic man was in, she just realized they haven't checked on him
"In fact we should probably check on him and see if maybe he remembered anything"

OOC: At long last, my finals are finally over, so let me see if I can get back into this with a quick post.

Seeing that there clearly wasn't any real danger, Red sheathed his sword and sat down for breakfast. His hunger got the best of him and he stayed mostly quiet as he ate, giving only the occasional snicker as the two carried on with their conversation, with Leo's shenanigans often getting on Katsume's nerves.

Red gave them a knowing grin and chimed in.
"I can go check on our new friend if you two wanna go back up to the room and pick up that game of strip poker."
He quickly went back to his food, letting that snarky little comment hang in the air.
"Mmm, this breakfast isn't half bad. Nothing like a hearty meal after a long night of drinking."
    He turned to the bartender.
"You got any coffee? 'Cause damn, I could go for some coffee."

Theodoric placed his elbows on the table and rested his head on his folded hands, eyes downcast, trying to take in the news he'd just received.
"Damn it all. Grim news follows grim news, misfortune upon misfortune; "when it rains, it pours," indeed. Kaname, old friend, to where have you stolen away in these dark hours? I would have us face the coming storm together."
He closed his eyes and let out a weary sigh.
"Even so, we must do everything in our power to endure these sorrows with what we have at our disposal. Such is a burden of leadership, one of many."
After that, he stopped thinking out loud and turned his attention back to Falicita, his expression dark yet softer than before.
"You do not need to worry, I will keep your secret safe. I swear on my honor that the other clans will never learn of this from myself or my own. And, for what it's worth...I am truly sorry that you have been given such a great burden. Your perseverance in the face of unimaginable adversity is something to be admired. However, I disagree with your assessment that you have no one to turn to."
He got up from his chair, walked over next to Falicita, and knelt down to meet her gaze.
"You are the sister to one of my dearest friends, and our clans have been allies for years. If you ever need our aid, you need only call for us, and we will answer."
He reached out his hand to her.
"Let me help you. Together, we can keep these lands stable and broaden our search for Kaname-- I say this because I, too, believe he is destined for a death more glorious than what you described. You will not be alone so long as you choose not to be. Take my hand, and you will have the White Lions at your back."

Kaname raised her brow at Red
    "We weren't playing strip poker"
without warning, she socked Red square in his shoulder just because he went along with Leos story over hers. The socked Leo in his shoulder for even coming up with the story. She took another bite of her food and grumbled, she already had her hands full with these two and their shenanigans, and now there is going to be a third. She looked up at the man Red was asking coffee from.
"I'll take a shot of tequila"
she glanced over at Red, then Leo and sighed
"Make it a double, I have a feeling its gonna be a LONG day"

At first when she heard him speak, she tensed, waiting for him to blow up on her for lying to him. But instead he seemed to be speaking to himself. She looked up at him when she heard him sigh. As he spoke, she sat back on her heal and listened, wiping the tears from her eyes. When he got up from his chair and knelt down to meet her gaze, she was in a bit of a shock. She hadn't expected this, her gaze met his and she listened as he spoke. His words were kind and not harsh, as she had expected it to be. When he reached out his hand and spoke of helping her in searching for her brother, she nodded in agreement and took his hand for a moment. She was overfilled with joy and a moment later she had her arms wrapped around his neck, hugging him, sobbing lightly for a few minutes before releasing him. She again wiped the tears from her eyes
    "Thank you"
She was silent for a moment wondering if maybe her hugging him may have made him uncomfortable
    "I...uh sorry about that"
She looked up at him meeting his gaze again, she had a worried expression on her face
"Are you sure this wont be a burden on you, or get in the way of any missions?"
    she paused a moment
"the last thing I want is to burden you with my troubles."

    Theodoric shook his head.
"No need to apologize. You have been through quite the ordeal, and I can see that you kept a great deal of sadness, anger and frustration bottled up for quite some time."
He gave her a reassuring look as one who fully understood the crushing weight and the cold isolation that can come with suddenly receiving awful news. He knew that this sort of emotional release was healthy, even necessary, and he felt a tinge of longing as deep down, he wished that he were as honest with his own sorrows and fears. Truth be told, he wished to confide in Kaname just as much as he wished to strategize with him. But apparently, that would have to wait for another time.

With a proud smile, Theodoric waved dismissively as he stood back up.
"A burden? Perhaps so. However, the burden of helping a friend in their hour of need is a burden that is always worth carrying. I have no doubt that Kaname would do the same if he were here and our situations were reversed, and I have confidence that his noble sister would do the same. Do not worry about burdening me. Friends who never trouble each other are themselves troubled indeed."
He then made his way back to the chair he was sitting in before and settled back into it.
"Now, let us focus on the most pressing issues--"

Just then, he heard a knock on the door.
"Ah, I believe that is one of mine. Excuse me a moment."

He answered the door and one of his soldiers bowed respectfully.
"My lord, we've just received word. Lady Alkelda and her escort have been sighted on the edge of Nagasaki territory, they will arrive in the village shortly."
    Theodoric nodded.
"Finally, a small bit of good news. When they arrive, send them here right away."

    "Yes, my lord."
With that, the soldier bowed again and left, and Theodoric sat back down and faced Falicita.
"Apologies for the interruption. I sent word to one of my finest agents last night, telling her that she is needed here. Originally, I'd planned for her and Ranulf to open negotiations with the Blue Robes, but now that circumstances have changed so drastically, I believe a different approach is in order. Ah yes, speaking of..."

    His eyes narrowed slightly.
"The Blue Robes...I would like to know what sort of arrangement you are negotiating with them. I know that your intentions are good and fair, but I can only wonder about them. Though my dealings with them have been very limited, many have said that they are shrewd negotiators, as cunning as serpents and perhaps just as venomous to those caught unaware. If it is possible, I would like to sit in on your next meeting with their representative to ensure you are receiving a fair bargain. It would give me an opportunity to discuss my own business with them as well. Of course, if you wish to handle this affair alone, I would never want to intrude on your dealings...even if my better judgment compels me to do so. What do you say?"

OOC: I've got a way to bring Core's characters back into the fold, but I need some time to set things up. There's a plan at work here, but it'll take a few more posts (and another character introduction lol) to get that ball rolling. Again, sorry for the wait, Core.
