Since I started this thread I'll start off.

This is my channel. youtube.com/Profpowerline I've got over 400 videos from 3 years of work with youtube.
I mostly to let's plays but I hope to expand soon. I really love doing collabs so if your down for one let me know.
currently I working on a let's play of Legend of zelda master quest for the gamecube.

I have a youtube account but I only have like one thing on it. I did a "Let's Play" (it was just me and my brother playing a dumb beta and bashing it since it cost 10,000 USD to make) like thing on there and that's it so far. I'm working on doing a longplay soon and a few other things, but I want to make a new youtube account first that will let me use a username instead of my real name (because I already tried to do that and it would not let me). I also thought about doing riffs on bad Let's Plays (think Retsupurae), fanfiction and a few other things.

I used to make videos all the time on my old PC. I made videos for clans, local businesses, and friends. On my personal channel (link in my sig) I used to make AMV's and other random projects to help me get used to the features of the software I had at the time.

At the moment I am on hiatus. I got a new computer, and had problems transferring my old software to my new rig. So when I can find the money to get Sony Vegas (or find a good free alternative) I will start making more content. I also plan to invest in a capture card for the oh so popular gaming videos.

what kind of games are you thinking of doing? mainstream stuff or maybe some more out there games?

 

If I where you I would just jump right back in. I used to make AMVs back in the day using Imovie. I can't do everything you need but it's a great starting place. plus as time goes on it can be hard to start if you haven't already.

I'd love to see some of your stuff if you've still got it!

 

Oh and blaze1514 could you show me how you made that epic sig!

 

I really want to do a let's play one day. I know with my great sense for the theatrics I would be awesome.

It was literally me taking a screenshot of the show, resising it, then doing one of the sloppiest overlays ever, add text, and then resized again to fit forum rules.

 

And what about the links at the bottom?

 

It's random really. A lot of the commentary on my old stuff was really bad (even though my brother says it's good it's not, it's f***ing awful). I did stuff from like Zelda and pokemon to weird RPG maker games. Now I'm working of fan games mostly. My current longplay project is he PSP remake of Corpse Party.

 

Never heard of corpse party. whats it about? how far in are you?

 

It's a Japanese horror game originally made for the PC-98 then got remade for the PSP. It's about a group of kids who get trapped in a school. Likes of gore and stuff. All in all it's an okay game. I still prefer the original Corpse Party but meh. As for how far I've gotten, I've just barely started it.

Usually RPG's don't make for very good VLP's since there's lots of cuts (unless you plan on showing the battles) and cut scenes. Not saying that you shouldn't do it (If you want to do it then more power too ya) it's just gonna be an editing nightmare is all. xD

 

write the word ,ex "youtube", then highlight it. With it highlighted click the link button at the top, and put the link to youtube in. Then just highlight and use text color. I used Alt-Codes for the stars.

 

I am the Youtube Gamer of Black Sakura netowrk. my banner is old as it uses our old network name, will be getting a new one soon.
I have 253 videos currently. I do lets plays, with and without commentary to give something to everyone who prefer with or without my voice over. I do unboxing videos of collectors editions and game consoles, and sometimes random non gaming videos but those are very rare.
I try to upload almost everyday. I spend at least 8 hours per day working on videos between recording, editing, rendering, and uploading.
