This Calvin and Hobbes comic gives the idea for this thread. Let's try to come up with words for smells.

(Note- I have read the original version, and it goes along much like this one. I am certain that the only difference is that someone copied this for practice.)

    EDIT
Changed title to make more sense. This thread is not very well explained, but the idea will be to choose a scent, and then to have the next person come up with a word.
This could have gone better if I had done a better explanation.

Person 1: Scent of leaves [definition]
    Person 2: Snippid [word]
    scent of wet wood [definition]

And so on. It repeats itself like that.

I have edited the instructions to this thread at the top. Maybe now this would get better.

    "Lavender"

"Smell of shampoo" would be considered a definition, and I would come up with a word to go with it. If the item/definition had a unique scent, I would come up with a unique word. But with shampoo, which could have various scents, would be more difficult to give a unique name to. Perhaps in such cases one should just come up with one of its scents, like "Lavender." But then, one might want to call the scent "Lavender" of the scented shampoo by a unique name. It could get complicated then. I suggest we leave this thread to abandonment for this reason..
