If you've played The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, you may have come across an exploit that allows players to farm hides and pearls to sell to vendors in order to accrue large amounts of wealth in a short amount of time, in effect breaking the in-game economy.

Well, if you've taken advantage of this exploit, and you've also purchased the latest expansion: Hearts of Stone, you may find yourself visited by an in-game "tax collector."

CD Projekt Red recently became aware of this exploit, and thought it would be nice to have a bit of fun with players guilty of using it.

In Hearts of Stone, the player will be visited by a tax collector who will proceed to question how they acquired their inordinate wealth.

The funny thing is, you can lie. If you say that you're not guilty of gaming the system, he will believe you. No questions asked. And, to top it all off, you get a diploma marking your place as a tax payer in good standing.

Well, that is amusing. You should feel guilty for lying to the tax collector and getting that diploma.
