Which anime do you relate to the most?

Now obviously i don't mean the entire anime in question is a scene by scene recreation of events from your life but surely there are scenes, events and/or characters that you do relate to. Who or what are they?

For me there are many different characters from various animes who've i've related to either because they've suffered the same tragedies i've suffered or because they've experienced the same personality/emotional disorders i've struggled with in my life but ultimately the one i identify with and relate to the most has to be Otonashi from Angel Beats!. The flash back to his life before his sister's death is exactly how my life was when i was younger, completely empty and meaningless (or so i felt), and when i watched Angel Beats! for the first time i found his ability to turn things around absolutely inspiring and was touched so incredibly deeply by the whole experience of watching his whole story.

 

Probably sport genre anime's. Have been doing sports all my life and even now studying Sports Studies & Management so that I could get a job in sports industry. I don't really have a particular character but probably someone from Kuroko no Basket of side chars would fit me as I am a basketball player too.

 

Mainly I relate to certain characters attributes or personalities. And even that doesn’t happen very often.


Anything specific man?

 

I always wanted to be a successful business guy like Lawrence in Spice and Wolf. His charisma and ability to simplify how the market in his world works is wonderful (at least in the dub). Of course all that business sense doesn't do him any good when he is dealing with the flirtatious and playful Holo. Holo ftw!

His logical mind can't comprehend his feelings. Guess that's like me, I always think things through.

 

I generally relate to SoL anime.

I'm quite like that but mainly because i miss my school days... even tho they were rubbish, i was bullied all the way thru, i completely messed up my life when it came to studying, failed all my exams, never got it together with any of the girls i liked, had next to no friends and i couldn't wait for them to be over, i do really miss them and i would really like a chance to do it all again.
