(As a point of reference, I used this site as my basis for the names of the following tropes, and I suggest others use it as well)

Despite only seeing a little amount of anime, I've come to notice a lot of repeating tropes throughout the series I've watched. In noticing these tropes, there's some that I've come to love and others I've come to despise. So I ask you, what are your most/least favourite tropes in anime?

I'll start out with my least favourites.

    Oblivious to Love: http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/ObliviousToLove
This trope drives me insane. I hate when a character is so clueless that he doesn't notice the affection of another character, unless there's some sort of resolution at the end. Unfortunately this is quite a common trope in certain genres of anime, but I still try to steer clear of it as much as I can.

    Balanced Harem: http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/BalancedHarem
I tend to dislike the harem genre in general, but these are the worst in my opinion. As opposed to the supporting harems where there is one clear love interest and the rest don't really stand a chance, a balanced harem is equal ground for the females after the protagonist and usually this ends with no-one getting the main character as the writer is afraid of annoying the fans of the other females. Which I dislike in a harem anime.

    As for my most favourites..

    A God Am I: http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/AGodAmI
I love this trope because it usually goes hand-in-hand with a good villain character. The most obvious example would be Light Yagami from Death Note. I do love a good fight between a hero character and a villain with a god complex.

    Say My Name: http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/SayMyName
While almost guaranteed to be very cheesy, the yelling of your enemy/friend/etc's name always makes me smile. You can find many instances of this in shonen anime like Bleach, One Piece, Dragon Ball and so on. Though while the anime has yet to be released, expect a lot of this in BlazBlue if the game is anything to go by.

The only anime Trope I can think of that you didn't mention is the Big Eater trope that's in a lot of kid anime (like Pokemon and Beyblade) I've always hated that along with the Big Idiot and Oblivious To Love Tropes.

Can't really think of any that I like

The only trope that i can't stand is the Swiss Army Tears trope.

it's so stupid that the tears of a person can cure just about anything, the worst example by far is Pokemon's first movie (you know what im talking about)

A bad non-anime example would be the last episode of Power Rangers in Space

Noooooooo! That's the best part of the movie! My childhood cried manly tears at that moment!

Of course you are right on that being pretty cheesy lol.
