What music do you listen to? The songs in anime or in the opening or ending credits don't count. I referring to rock n' roll, jazz, blues, etc. I prefer rock n' roll, and I don't listen to rap because I can't stand the so called "music" of today. I can't stand rap because there's so much foul language and insults in it. The newest stuff I listen to is from the 80's. But I like music from the 60's to the 80's. My favorite groups being the Beach Boys, Jan and Dean, Men at Work, some songs from Cindy Lauper, Pat Benatar, Fleet Wood Mac and Kansas.

I'm a rock fan. Christian Rock and alternative seem to be most of my favorites. TFK, Dead Poetic, Cage the Elephant, and The Walkmen are just some examples.

I can name something from every genre of music that I like. Kind of unfair to pick a favorite because I listen to everything equally.

A lot of the music from the 80's are really cool. I know more music from that era then now. Some stuff from the 90's since I grew up around that time (but there are some songs I hate hearing on the radio). I'm pretty picky otherwise, the rap or hip hop stuff going around now don't interest me at all. I can't stand country music but then when you combine it with rock then my mind goes into overload and it's either a love or hate affair.

I listen to a lot of electronic stuff from artists like Tiesto, Armin van Buuren, Ferry Corsten, Paul Van Dyk, etc. I also like power metal along the lines of Dragonforce and Freedom Call. In more recent discoveries I'm enjoying Touhou and Vocaloid music.

I don't know why but most of my musical tastes end up being really obscure relative to typical western interests even though I'm not even trying to be hipster. :/

Electronic stuff huh. That reminds I like listening to music in midi format. Too many hours in front of a gameboy made me appreciate it.

I Listen just about everything, on my phone at the moment oh have K-pop, J-pop, J-rock, rock, metal, heavy metal, death metal, classical, jazz, swing, grunge, house, dubstep. Narrow music really limits peoples musical appreciation, I think there's something to admire in every style of music if it gets given a chance,

I listen to something from most genres with the exception of country/bluegrass and that type of music.  My favorite band is probably Snow Patrol.  I also listen to Breaking Benjamin, Keane, Oh Sleeper, Arch Enemy, Coldplay, The Beatles, etc.

I don't know if I can really classify my taste...

I listen to a great variety, but mainly Asian-themed/styled. I guess it's because their lyrics are more meaningful than American songs.. although I do like quite a lot of English ones too. It really does depends. I try not to judge too much, so for a song, I would first listen to the melody, then look at the lyrics/meaning of the lyrics. Sometimes it just hooks onto me. Songs are really strange like that, but I don't think I can survive without music either. ^^''
