Was the ending rushed for Elfen Lied?

I have spoken to my friend about this when I finished watching it two years ago now. I could see what my friend meant when he said he felt the ending was a bit rushed as they made it before the Manga ended. It certainly did feel that way when I watched it. I still enjoyed the anime. But, I really do wish it could have been better.

Yeah I feel as though they did rush things along at the end. The deal with that director guy was never resolved in the anime. A monster like him needs some kind of conclusion you know? Despite that though I feel at least they covered everyone elses tracks.

 

I thought the ending was fine. It left enough there for you to draw your own conclusions. It's been a long time since I've seen it now though.

 

I was the one that got them to publish this anime. Underrated yet my one of my favorites. the ending was rushed, but its great!!

 

I thought the beginning was promising with Elfen Lied but as I continued to watch it I didn't really enjoy it as much as I hoped to. However, the ending really got on my nerves because I felt as though it was rushed and didn't take the time to really develop properly. Yes it leaves people to come up with their own conclusions and ideas for fan-fictions but to mii, it ruined the anime series itself... But it still wasn't the worst of all endings out there in the world.

 

I've seen some "BAD" endings before so this is a farcry from disaster. Sure it could have been better but the semi open nature of it in the end probably was the best thing you could do if you aren't going to finish this anime's story anytime soon
