    In modern day Tokyo, society lives in fear of Ghouls: mysterious creatures who look exactly like humans—yet hunger insatiably for their flesh. None of this matters to Ken Kaneki, a bookish and ordinary young man, until a dark and violent encounter turns him into the first ever Ghoul-human half breed. Trapped between two worlds, Ken must survive the violent conflicts of warring Ghoul factions, while attempting to learn more about Ghoul society, his newfound powers, and the fine line between man and monster.

    So lets take a good season 1, finish the cliff hangar and then all new plot pieces are still cliff hanging at the end of this season. Supposedly this took a different "route" than the manga.

    I have not read the manga as of yet but I have heard the same. Ain't finished this season yet but I got the end spoiled for me all ready. From what I know another freaking cliffhanger, but that also kinda leaves it open to if there gonna do a season three.

    While I haven't heard anything on a third season I have heard there will be a prequel ova based on tokyo ghoul: jack.
