Tick Tack discussion

I haven't had the time to finish it yet but this is the discussion page for the Tick Tack! event.

 

I 100%ed Tick Tack today and here are my general thoughts.

Of the 20 or so sex scenes, a lot of them are very similar, with at least 4 or 5 in the exact same position. 2 were in the bath, 2 were outside, 2 were threesomes, and a bunch of other stuff.

The CG's were nicely drawn (with a few awkward parts, namely Rin looking absolutely hideous (Face-wise) compared to Shuffle, and the weirdly drawn dicks that were kinda gross to look at (moreso than usual).)

The story was pretty alright. They explain pretty much the majority of the conflict in the prologue. I was a little disappointed there was more focus on sex than there should have been.

Characters: Rin is a goddamn blockhead in this game. He wasn't this fucking stupid in Shuffle, and he also way more sex crazed than he was in Shuffle as well. He always gets some horrendous cliche "pervert guy lines" such as "If you hug me, of course it's going to turn me on, I'd be considered homosexual otherwise" and other stupid stuff that make his dumbass attitude okay simply because he's acting like a "healthy guy" (which is a stupid fucking awful reason, and is in no way an excuse for the borderline rape he commits numerous times)

Other than Rin, I like the majority of the characters.

Of returning characters, Nerine is of course adorable as ever, although she's also a lot more sex-crazed than she was in Shuffle, and at times it seems very out of character for her. Other than that, I'd say they managed to keep her character in tact. Red Nerine is a more flirtatious version of Nerine, and I liked the change in pace seeing Nerine being more forward (ironically she has less H scenes than normal Nerine though). And then there's Loli Nerine. A little creepy, definitely, she's definitely the most earnest of the bunch, and I want to say she's the cutest character (like childish cute).

Mayumi always cracked me up, I'm so glad they brought her back. She continues to be hilarious in Tick Tack. On the other side of the spectrum, why they brought back Itsuki, I have no idea, he's the complete opposite of funny. Forbesii, despite being the main plot point, is pretty much swept to the side, he's the same as he was in Shuffle, but younger. I don't know how else to put it.

Of the new characters, Ai is definitely the standout in my opinion. Her flirtatious, yet innocent attitude is attractive and refreshing. Not to mention her design is like a more grown-up Nerine (in all the right places)

Sage, on the other hand, is a more studious, hardworking person, with a bit of a temper, but a very wide kind streak as well. I like her more serious tone and her constant joking. Definitely nice characters.

Ria is definitely my favorite of the new additions. Too bad she doesn't get a route, but she's fricking hilarious. She's mischievous, and strong-willed. She's like a mix of Sia, Kareha, and Asa, all mixed into one. Love her.

Last, but not least, is Bark, the creepy, almost homosexual, butler, who goes to great lengths to serve Forbesii and coincidentally creep out every person in the mansion. He's funny, but creepy.

Art is generally okay. Music is mostly stuff brought back from Shuffle besides a few new themes. Of the new stuff, the Insert Pieces, and Sage's theme are the only ones that stand out in my mind as being memorable. The opening theme is alright, the ending theme is meh.

Overall score on VNDB: 6. For not being fullfilling enough to give it anything higher. Needed more story, less sex, and more non-sex CG's.

I will say one thing though, there is one scene with the secret character that makes the game completely worthwhile.

YES!!! I thought I was the only one who thought that! Yes Rin has turned into a fucking dumbass.

I haven't gotten very far in it yet (I'm very busy these days with my reviews) but I will try to finish it as soon as I can. Oh also is it just me or is the translation some how worse then the first game?
