The Prince Of Tennis Ova's Video Previews Violin Theme By Ayasa

The official website for The Prince of Tennis anime franchise began streaming a promotional video for the Tennis no Ōjisama BEST GAMES!! Tezuka vs Atobe, the first new original video anime (OVA) in the planned Tennis no Ōjisama BEST GAMES!! project, on Sunday. The video previews the OVA's theme piece "BEST GAMES!!" by violinist Ayasa.

The OVA will have a limited two-week screening in Japan beginning on August 24, and will ship in Japan on Blu-ray Disc and DVD on October 26.

Keiichiro Kawaguchi (Mayo Chiki!, Hayate the Combat Butler) is directing the project at M.S.C. Mitsutaka Hirota (The Prince of Tennis II, The Prince of Tennis II OVA vs. Genius 10) is returning to handle series composition and write the scripts. Akiharu Ishii is again designing the characters, and Cher Watanabe is returning to compose the music.Junichi Suwabe and Ryotaro Okiayu will perform the insert song "Eien" (Forever) as their respective characters, Keigo Atobe and Tezuka Kunimitsu. The song will be the first duet between the characters. The ending song will be "You got game?" the first ending theme song for the first The Prince of Tennis anime, by Junko Minagawa as his character Ryōma Echizen.

The OVA project retells the story of the franchise's top matches, and is the second "part" of the franchise's new theatrical film project. The first OVA will feature a match between Tezuka and Atobe from the Kantō Tournament. Ryotaro Okiayu, Junichi Suwabe, and Junko Minagawa are reprising their respective roles as Kunimitsu Tezuka, Keigo Atobe, and Ryōma Echizen.

The first part of the theatrical film project was three runs of "cheering screenings." The first run screened The Prince of Tennis: Two Samurais, The First Game film and the Tennis no Oujisama: Atobe Kara no Okurimono film in December. The second run screened The Prince of Tennis: Eikoku-shiki Teikyū-jō Kessen! film in February, and the third and final run screened the "Teni Fes All Night" event in April.
