The Dark Crystal: Age Of Resistance Debuts Its First Teaser
There are some for whom the simple word "gelfling" sparks memories of time spent in a cinema watching a fantastical world unfurl in front of them. But even if The Dark Crystal isn't part of your cine-past, it's a movie worth watching, particularly since Netflix is preparing to deliver prequel series Age Of Resistance, and has a teaser trailer online to prove it.



Set many years before the events of the 1982 film, famously co-directed by Jim Henson and Frank Oz, Age Of Resistance returns to the world of Thra with an all new adventure. When three Gelfling discover the horrifying secret behind the evil, vulture-like Skeksis’ power, they set out on an epic journey to ignite the fires of rebellion and save their world.

Featuring a loaded voice cast that includes Taron Egerton, Anya Taylor-Joy, Helena Bonham Carter, Toby Jones, Simon Pegg, Jason Isaacs, Mark Hamill and Mark Strong, Age Of Resistance's initial 10 episodes will be arriving on the streaming service on 30 August.
