Important Support Site By Enabling Site Ads

Hey guys, this site is largely dependent on ads and donations to keep running. Our site has a limit of only 3 non-intrusive Google ads per page. However, there are some ads in the videos we link to, but they are not controlled by us nor do we profit from those ads. I've heard several people complain of hidden audio ads playing, sudden popups when clicking on a video, etc. I'm sure we all get that those kinds of ads can be annoying and I certainly don't blame people wanting to avoid them by using an adblocker. Just doing so also hurts JDO because you don't see our site ads. Most adblockers are all or nothing pretty much.

So, I have a solution that will allow our viewers to watch videos without intrusive ads showing up but also allow support to our site. There is a browser addon that works pretty much as an adblocker named Ghostery. This addon is pretty cool in that it allows one to specify not only what ads to block but can whitelist certain ads globally or for a specific site.

I'll put out some simple steps on how to have this setup correctly.

1. If you have an adblocker already just whitelist JDO. Ghostery will take up the slack where needed.

2. install Ghostery for your browser

3. After initial setup of Ghostery go to JDO's homepage and click the Ghostery button that should show on your browser. You should see something like this




Once here there is two ways you can enable the site ads. You can click the red X's and that will enable the google ads, chatango, and social media plugins globally for Ghostery. If you have anther adblocker though it will still block those on other sites regardless.
