I found this off BK's MAL. This is one of the films only available to watch at the Studio Ghibli museum (shhhhh.) It is the story of the kitten bus.

 

Wholly crap, I didn't think I'd ever get the chance to watch one of the Ghibli museums shorts, while I'm not particularly a totoro fan I just couldn't pass up the opportunity to watch more of that Ghibli artwork. The animation from this company never disappoints me, and for this short the basic level of Japanese that was used I practically understood everything that was said.

Is it bad that the first thing I thought of when I clicked play was how it was camripped, and that the segment in the beginning of the new Gintama movie specifically is a warning not to do this. Guess it can't be helped, they should distribute these if they didn't want people to be recording them.

 

I am a Totoro fan and when Mei licked the old catbus, I was in a fit of giggles. I would certainly buy Mei_to_Koneko_Bus if they released it.

I'm not so sure I would call that old one a cat bus, to me it looked more like a cat zeppelin, although it is interesting to find out that there  is a whole species of them in many different sizes.
I'd buy these shorts in a collection if they were ever to be released, doesn't matter what price really considering how rare these are [although it would still have to be within reason for anime]. I'm still torn over whether or not to buy more Ghibli movies considering I have all the ones I really liked, but these are different.

Anyway this other short, firstly thanks for the link, it is quite different. Staring the most boorish woman in anything they've done, I found her quite puzzling. Most characters have at least one trait that would allow someone somewhere to sympathise with them but this one offered absolutely nothing, I was definitely caught off guard.
Those teeth though, how she didn't pierce her chest especially while eating I am putting down to it being only because it is from Ghibli.
The dough man was fun, although I preferred him before being baked considering shape shifting, but was it just me or did he resemble the robot from Laputa?
Have to say, I'm liking how minimal dialogue is used in these, it really would allow anyone to come see them in the museum regardless of where they are from.

After seeing two I want to go looking for the others or at least some of them. I find that out of all the previews at the start of that vid, the whale and the dog ones are at the top of my searching list for impossible shorts.

 

Believe me when I say the other Ghibli Museum shorts are impossible to find. I spent a good hour searching for those and kept finding the 2 Red posted.

I would love for these shorts to be compiled into a collection on DVD/Bluray.

I remember watching that and thinking this is cute and so weird. I remember seeing the DVD case in my local library of all places and thought I've got to watch that.

Enjoy. Knowing that makes 3 of the Ghibli museum only shorts that we've found makes me hopeful to find some of the others.

 

I was finally able to watch the sumo mice. I know I'm a dork, but I love to watch these rare piece because it feels like I'm part of a secret.

 

Haha I'm the same way, shorts are fun because few people know about them so they are typically new to others. Ghibli shorts go beyond that considering that cam rips or going to the museum are the only options. According to MAL only 531 people have this sumo mouse short on their list, and from there we see that only 91 people have it listed as complete. So this one is more secretive.

I guess thats it until the next time I luckily encounter another one of these.

 

After watching the 3 posted here makes me want to watch the others even more!
