Maintenance Server Upgrade

You may or may not have experienced the max connections error the site has been getting. In short, without actually going through the effort of giving an explanation to why it happens (check my other thread about max connections for the explanation) this has to do with our VPS (virtual private server) receiving max connections which in turn makes the server either slow or unresponsive.

We will be upgrading the server during the second week of August. An exact date will be given closer to the week. Just waiting on Kiri to give me a time she is off work so we can dedicate our full attention to upgrading servers. We will be leaving our VPS and getting a significantly more powerful dedicated server.

Originally when I inherited the site/community from stevey we only needed a VPS when we were switching from DT to JDO. Considering the amount of traffic, we didn't need anything with much power or resources. But now that we're becoming significantly more popular we are in dire need of this upgrade. An upgrade we would have done months ago if we didn't lose adsense and lose money sustaining the server while we were ad-less.
