The official website for the anime of Lynn Okamoto's Gokukoku no Brynhildr (Brynhildr in the Darkness) science-fiction fantasy manga began streaming the second promotional video to introduce the characters and voice cast on Thursday:

Ryōta Murakami (voiced by Ryota Ohsaka) introduces himself as a second-year student of the Shinnō University-affiliated high school and the only member of his high school's astronomy club. He dreams of becoming a NASA researcher.

Neko Kuroha (Risa Taneda) is a self-professed magic user who escaped from a research institute.

Neko's dear friend Kana Tachibana (Aya Suzaki) would be in the third year of middle school, but due to various circumstances, she does not move her body out of her bed.

Kazumi Schlieren-Sauer (M.A.O), is a child of parents from Japan's Kansai region and Austria, and she can speak German. Her talent is hacking.

Kotori Takatori (Azusa Tadokoro) complains that Kazumi's long intro left her no time to introduce herself. Kazumi retorts that Kotori only needs two seconds for introductions. "Phew! It's finally my turn. My family name is Takatori. My given name is Kotori. My name is Kotori Takatori. I like sweet stuff! Especially condensed milk!! I'm one year below Murakami. I'm now a first-year high school student." (Murakami: "Kotori! Time's Up!") "What! Already…! But…"

The original manga revolves around high school boy Ryōta Murakami, who cannot forget his female childhood friend whom he let die in a accident. Feeling that he must fulfill their promise of proving the existence of aliens, he has continuously looked up at the sky as a member of the astronomy club. One day, a girl named Neko Kuroha who looks like his childhood friend appears as a transfer student. She calls herself is a magic-user who has run away from a research lab.

Studio ARMS (MAOYU, Queen's Blade) is animating this story by the creator of Elfen Lied and Nononono. Kenichi Imaizumi (Katekyo Hitman Reborn!, Student Council's Discretion Level 2) is directing the anime off scripts by Yukinori Kitajima (428 ~Fūsa Sareta Shibuya de~, Senran Kagura, Professor Layton vs. Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney, Hamatora). Hiroaki Karasu (episode animation director on Gatchaman Crowds, Kimikiss pure rouge) is serving as character designer and chief animation director. Nao Tokisawa is scoring the soundtrack.

The anime will premiere in April. Okamoto began the manga in Young Jump in 2011, and Shueisha published the seventh compiled volume of the manga last December. The anime's original soundtrack will ship on April 23 with the "Ichiban Hoshi" ending theme and also a character song (both by the female cast).

    A little late, but...
    BEST NEWS EVER! :)
I've been following the manga since it's started and am very exited to watch another adaptation of Okamoto's manga (he wrote Elfen Lied).
