I was chatting in a comment section when I realized something.

WTF happened to all the people that hared Naruto? We see then in Flashbacks and Episode 1 but take a look at after that? His teachers, school mates, and even the ramen guy seem to either be pretty cool with him or even really like him! Of course I'm asking about before he starts saving the village and becomes the idol and hero of everyone in the Ninja world.

Even if you look at normal people he interacts with during his first few missions none of them mind him at all. They get pissed if he screws up but that's all. It's implied all the adults hated and/or feared him and the kids avoided him as a result but we never see any of that as far as I can remember after episode 1.

Granted it doesn't take long before the anime only shows them in the village for short periods of time between missions but still there is enough village time to where it should have come up.

In fact by the time he stops Pain everyone already basically love him it's just this is where he earned his "hero of the village" title.

So just where were all these people perfectly happy with talking and befriending him before the start of the series? Where the hell were these people when he was alone at home drinking spoiled milk?

On that subject why did none of the people that knew he was the 4th son bother to take care of him? There were plenty of high level people that didn't hate Naruto but apparently they also didn't give enough of a damn to make any real effort to raise him. They just tossed him into an apartment and called it a day. In what universe does throwing a kid into a house with only food and clothes count as raising him? In fact we never hear anything about who apparently fed his infant self until he could "technically" live on his own. I say technically because he still needed parental guidance of some sort. In fact where was Jiraiya? Wasn't Naruto his Godson? You'd think he could have made some effort of his own to help guide and raise Naruto BEFORE they just meet up.

His student and studen't wife die leaving their infant son alone and he doesn't do shit for over a decade?

Where the hell was his guardian? or any kind of parental figure? This is part of the reason I actually hate the 3rd. Not only does he utterly fail to do ANYTHING about the Uchiha clan or stop even half the shit Danzo did he also doesn't seem to raise so much as a finger to help Naruto while he grows up. He's one of the most useless leader I've ever seen in anime.

Sure the third was probably keeping tabs on Naruto but that doesn't mean shit if he never makes a move. Same with the Uchiha and Danzo. I get these weren't solutions with easy fixes but in the end he might as well not have existed for all the good he did any of those situations. In the end he let the council and Danzo basically run everything. Even Sasuke was protected more by the threat of his brother than the third.

So seriously no one apparently cares enough to show him the slightest bit of love or concern besides that one teacher and even he just smiles and scolds the dumb kid instead of trying to give any real help. But then the plot starts and everyone just kind of gravitates to him.

So in Summary the plot whole I realized is that despite his painful childhood being a massive part of his character not only do we not see any real signs of it after the series starts but if you really think about it his childhood SHOULDN'T have been that bad. There were several people who should have been able to care for and at least check up on him.
