Podcast Theme Submissons

I'm not sure if deathfire wants me to do this but I figure i should do this as a test.

We will be making a (official/unofficial) podcast for Dubtopian soon.

This'll be a good place to take in the questions, Ideas and theme submissions for the podcast.

And we are looking at naming teh podcast first. So those suggestions will be most helpfull atm.

My current idea is something like... Dubtopian Cast


Then Questions submissions, podcast discussion ideas etc. Questions for the hosts as well.



And theme songs should be either submitted in .wav or .mp3 as a putlocker or other download.

i suggest a "soft kitty" song segment.

 

I agree with Spor that it should be much more organized in the future. Have at least a small list of topics to talk about planned in advance. I'd also recommend limiting the length so that it's not a bloated 2 and a half hours or so like it has been in the past. That's just too much, especially when a lot of it just consists of silence, white noise, and waiting around for someone to pick the conversation back up. As a good way to start off discussions, you can ask everyone about what anime they're currently watching and what they think of it so far. That can often lead to fun places by itself.

 

i suggest this flow of the programme. you may edit/throw it.

Introductions - well the greetings part on who are the hots and how they are doing : 1 min

Anime News - any news the hosts got on the anime world : 5 mins

Forums News - whats new in the forums and whats going on in the forums. it could be how a character match was (the monthly character battle) or how the members floored the mods (count to 50). : 5 mins

Introducing the Guest (if ever we do a weekly guest) - introduction for the guest : 3 mins

Guest do the talking - well some info of him : 1 min

Q/A portion - well the usual q/a shows do. hosts may do ad lib or patterned questions. 10 mins

Do what you want to the Guest - members will post a certain dare the guest would do and the hosts will choose it. it depends on the hosts how they will choose a dare. it could be by "draw by lots" or any other means they have in mind. i suggest 3 dares.

Soft Kitty song portion - guest should sing this. its a closing theme for us xD. 1 min

Announce who the next guest would be (again if we do weekly guests) : 1 min

Total Time : 30 mins

I want to be a part of this and I'm liking the ideas so far, how about a segment that mentions like events of some sort(I've seen in multiple groups they host cool little events) and maybe you could talk briefly about cool new Manga's(just pitching ideas)

Good News! We've already decided to limit the length to around 30 minutes AND we have a planned out schedule of things to talk about. Don't worry, I'm very organized with the cast.

This sounds interesting. I like Noobs' structure. Minus the dares. Some people may be a little nervous as it is a podcast Plus, the soft kitty thing would get old pretty fast. You could pretty much ask the guests the same thing as the hosts for general conversation. Like what anime they are watching, what is their favourite anime and explain why in depth to give you more to talk about.

Not sure if I would want to be a host or not. Depends how well the structure could work. It would almost have to be scripted, or at least have some notes for everyone so they know what direction it is going in, like they do for most television shows that are aired live with hosts and guests.

In regards to having a guest each week, or month. You could always invite a member of the site to join you as the guest? That way you will always have someone new each week, and it will keep the show fresh. Plus, it will attract more of an audience, as people will listen to it if one of their friends are on it. Then you give like their username so people can add the guest on here if they want to. (Make sure the guest consents to it first).
