Level 5 CEO Akihiro Hino said in an interview with Nikkei Trendy on March 30 that Level 5 will release versions of all its main titles for Nintendo Switch from now on. Hino noted that this is because the company is moving on from releasing its main titles on Nintendo 3DS.

Hino also teased that he wanted to announce a "completely new work" that will commemorate the company's 20th anniversary in 2018. In an earlier interview with Katsuhiro Terada for 4Gamer, Hino also mentioned a 20th anniversary project that will have the "same scale" as an MMORPG. He also said that the game will be "modern day" instead of fantasy.

While Hino said that he would like to announce the project in time for the 20th anniversary, he clarified to Terada that it will not be released the same year. He cited the original Ni no Kuni game, which commemorated the company's 10th anniversary but came out two years later.

Level 5 is known for its multimedia franchises, including Inazuma Eleven, Little Battlers eXperience, Yōkai Watch, and, most recently, Snack World. The company released The Snack World - Trejarers for 3DS last August and released a port for Switch on Thursday. Level-5 also developed Ni No Kuni II: Revenant Kingdom with Bandai Namco Entertainment and released it on PlayStation 4 and PC last month.
