Keijo Is On It's Way To Becoming A Real Life Sport

The fictional sport of Keijo!!!!!!!! is about to become a reality thanks to a group of Portuguese fans! Enter Keijo Portugal, a new sports league accepting applicants ages 16 or older to go toe to toe (or in this case butt to butt) in a battle for supremacy.

Keijo Portugal is a group of fans working to turn the wild sport depicted in the manga and anime into an actual event. If you are unfamiliar with Keijo!!!!!!!!, it’s a water-based sport that involves dueling women trying to knock their opponent off a raft using only their chest and backside.

The group is modifying the game to be safer and more realistic. Don’t expect to see any butt guillotines, and participants will wear padding on the impact zones to help prevent injuries.

The initial rules thus far have four to six players competing simultaneously for five minute rounds. Players can only attack one another using their hips and chest and players are disqualified by either falling down or out of the arena into the water. The platform can only be touched by competitors' feet.

Team matches will pit four vs four or three vs three and last for 10 minutes. A team is declared the winner when all of the other players on the other team are eliminated.

Keijo Portugal is currently in the planning stages. They are still scouting interested players and venues for practice matches, with no official start having been announced.

Who knows, if Keijo Portugal will take off. It's possible we might live in a world were Keijo becomes an Olympic event in the future.​
