Well I'm about to take Japanese for the the first time this semester. I was wondering if anybody else has taken it and if so would you share your experience with it and any helpful tip would be nice too.

Never taken a Japanese class before. Its probably going to be tough and really difficult in writing in kanji as well.

@Jesse thanks for the feedback and you're right kanji seems really hard but the good thing is that we won't mess with that till about the end of the semester. Right now we're dealing with hiragana which I have to learn by the end of next week, then we will go into katakana.

I personally haven't learned Japanese, but I am in the process of self-teaching myself the language. @Nyakomayushii has been helping me a bit with Japanese. She's very helpful, but is also had been busy recently. Hope she doesn't mind me @ing her here.

@hikikomori I tried doing that a couple years ago but had no luck. The farthest I got was learning  hiragana and that took me a couple of weeks. I would say its a bit easier when someone is teaching you instead of trying to learn by yourself.
