TOHO began streaming the first promotional video on Tuesday for the television anime adaptation of Matcha Hazuki's Isshūkan Friends. (One-Week Friends) manga.

In the video, the character Yūki narrates: "We do this over again each week. Many times. Many, many times. That girl had nothing to do with other people. She was always alone. I thought, I just want to be friends with this girl." He then says to Kaori, "Please be my friend." Then Kaori responds: "It's impossible for me to make friends. It's definitely impossible. My memories of my friends disappear in a week..." Yūki then says, "Even so, I want to be your friend. Over and over again."

Sora Amamiya (Log Horizon, Wanna Be the Strongest in the World, Gaist Crusher) will star in the series as Kaori Fujimiya, and relative newcomer Yoshitaka Yamaya (Unbreakable Machine-Doll, Senran Kagura) will star as Yūki Hase.

The anime's official website has also revealed a new key visual on Tuesday.

The story of the manga revolves around Yūki, a boy who wants to become friends with his classmate and desk neighbor Kaori. However, she gently declines his friendship, saying, "But, my... Memories of my friends disappear in a week..." Even so, Yūki wants to become her friend, and so the two become friends over and over again as the weeks pass.

Tarou Iwasaki (Fullmetal Alchemist episode director) will direct the series at Brains Base (D-Fragments, Natsume's Book of Friends, Baccano!). Shôtarô Suga (The Eccentric Family, Lagrange - The Flower of Rin-ne, Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood) is handling the series composition, and Eri Yamazaki (My Little Monster animator) is designing the characters. Irone Toda is scoring the soundtrack.

Additional staff members are as follows:

    Art: Akira Ito
    Art Setting: Headworks
    Color Key: Ritsuko Utakawa
    Photography: Tomoyuki Shiokawa
    Editing: Daisuke Imai
    Sound Director: Satoshi Motoyama

The anime will premiere in April.

Hazuki began the manga in 2012, and Square Enix shipped the fourth compiled volume in November.
