The November issue of Fujimi Shobo's Monthly Dragon Age magazine revealed on Wednesday that Sacchi's Is This a Zombie? (Kore wa Zombie Desu ka?) manga will have a "finale" in the December issue on November 9. The eighth compiled volume is slated to ship on December 9.

In the story, a normal high school boy named Ayumu Aikawa gets killed during a spate of mysterious serial killings. However, Ayumu is resurrected as a zombie by a necromancer girl named "Eu" (Eucliwood Hellscythe), who Ayumu had just met before dying. Ayumu then accidentally deprives the magical girl Haruna of her powers, so she demands that Ayumu take her place in fighting her nemesis Megalo.

The manga is based on Shinichi Kimura's original light novel series. The light novels also inspired two anime adaptations, Is This a Zombie? and Is This a Zombie? of the Dead. The first anime season aired in Japan in 2011 followed by the second season last year. Funimation licensed both seasons and released the second season on September 24.

Another manga, Kore wa Zombie Desu ka? Hai, Anata no Yome desu. by Ryō Hasemi, ran in Kadokawa's Monthly Comp Ace. The series has also received four-panel comic adaptations.

Yen Press will publish the sixth volume of Sacchi's manga in North America on October 29.
