Hatsune Miku Expo 2016 North America

Some of you may already be asking yourselves what is Hatsune Miku. Well Hatsune Miku is a Japanese music sensation, a 16 year-old blue-haired girl with a unique voice and prodigious energy. Just to give you an example here is one of her most listened to songs that you may have actually heard of or listened to before unknowingly.

What makes her special is that she is not a human singer, but a virtual persona who uses a computer-generated voice and 3D graphics to perform on stage. With a repertoire entirely provided by individual creators, she is the first truly crowd-created virtual talent. But being virtual doesn't stop her from filling up concert halls, or teaming up with major artists such as Lady Gaga and Pharrell Williams.

Internationally popular, with over 2.5 million followers on Facebook, the increasing demand for concerts overseas paved the way to Miku Expo, a world tour that has so far taken her from Indonesia to Los Angeles, New York and Shanghai, with a memorable TV stop even at the David Letterman show.

I wish Miku would grace her fans in the Midwest. I'd love to go to one of her concerts, but it's too far. Chicago would be the furthest major city I'd be able to drive to.

 

Well maybe you'll luck out with that 7th location that has yet to be announced. Still it's looking good that she'll debut to midwest region in the future. Her popularity is growing and the shows only seem to be growing in number every year. All I can say is keep tabs and make plans in advance if you really consider going. Still considering it myself but it would have to be the one in New York.

Yup that was her apperance on the David Letterman Tonight show. Truly something special right there.

 

Looks like the final stop is at Mexico City on June 4. I'd have to go to New York then.

 

It appears so. But they have yet to declare the shows time but i'm sure they will shortly. And like you i'm in the same dilemma.
Have to go to the New York show since it's the shortest distance I would have to travel. Still provided that I go at all in the first place.

 

I want to go but it's a four hour car ride one way. I might be able to go if I combine the trip with visiting relatives that live right outside New York city.
