A television anime of Takuto Kashiki's Hakumei to Mikochi: Tiny little life in the woods (Hakumei and Mikochi) manga has been green-lit. The manga follows the titular characters Hakumei and Mikochi, two nine-centimeter-tall (about 3.5-inch-tall) dwarf girls who live deep in a forest.

The studio Lerche is animating, and the studio Kusanagi is handling the background art. The Kokusai Tenjijō train station on the Rinkai line in Tokyo is displaying giant posters for the anime from Monday until next Sunday. (Kokusai Tenjijō is one of the stations serving the Tokyo Big Sight venue, which is hosting Comic Market next weekend.)

Kashiki has been serializing the manga in Kadokawa's harta magazine (previously known as Fellows! magazine), and Kadokawa published the fifth compiled book volume of the manga in January. Vol. 47 of the magazine will ship on Thursday, and it will publish a feature spread commemorating the television anime adaptation with anime designs and visuals. The magazine issue will also include picture book Hakumei to Mikochi Lemon no Crepe-ya-san (Hakumei and Mikochi: The Lemon Crepe Shop Staff) that Kashiki created exclusively as a bonus supplement.
