Gran Turismo 6 Ps3 Game Ends Online Service On March 28

Polyphony Digital's racing game debuted in 2013

The official website for the Gran Turismo racing video game series announced on Thursday that online service for the Gran Turismo 6 PlayStation 3 game will end on March 28. Distribution of downloadable content for use in the game will end on January 31.

Online services such as the Community, Open Lobby, Quick Match, and Seasonal Events features will no longer be available, but the offline portions of the game will still be playable. Players must redeem in-game credits before online service ends. In addition, distribution of the GT6 Track Path Editor app will end with the online services. Players will no longer be able to transfer track data created on the app to the game.

Sony's Polyphony Digital studio developed the game, and Sony Computer Entertainment released it on December 6, 2013.

The latest installment in the motorsport game series, Gran Turismo Sport, shipped on October 17 in North America, October 18 in Europe, and October 19 in Japan.
