Gidget Learns To Be A Cat In The Latest Secret Life Of Pets Trailer
With a large ensemble of chatty creatures to re-introduce, animated sequel The Secret Life Of Pets 2 and its production company, Illumination, is taking the character trailer approach. The latest look at the film's pet gang (whether or not this ends up in the actual movie) features fluffy pooch Gidget (Jenny Slate) getting some lessons in how to be a cat from pampered puss Chloe (Lake Bell).

There's some well-observed cat humour here (is it just us, or do cats seem to be ruling this series of trailers?), but it still offers no real clue as to what the animals will be up to this time. It'll be another look at what Max (Patton Oswalt), Duke (Eric Stonestreet), Mel (Bobby Moynihan), Buddy (Hannibal Buress) and the rest get up to when their human owners aren't around, but beyond that... we'll have to wait and see. Perhaps this weekend's Super Bowl trailer-fest will shed some light (though the presence of this before the game makes us think it won't).

With Brian Lynch once again putting words in the pets' mouths and Chris Renaud back as writer, The Secret Life Of Pets 2 arrives on 31 May.
