Square Enix publishes Gekkan Shōjo Nozaki-kun (Monthly Shōjo Nozaki-kun) manga in its Gangan Online free web magazine. The romantic comedy story begins when high school student Sakura Chiyo confesses her feelings to her classmate Nozaki. Due to a misunderstanding, Nozaki thinks Sakura is just a fan of his shōjo manga work. Sakura has to convey her true feelings while her relationship with Nozaki develops.

The series ranked at #3 on a list of top 15 manga recommended by bookstores last year. The 2014 edition of the Kono Manga ga Sugoi! guidebook also listed the series at #11 on its list of top 20 manga for female readers.
