Gaming club possibly?

    It was mentioned early on back on JDR, but no one ever took the reigns. So I thought i'd bring the topic back up again.

    The main thing making me think though is how to organize it. Should we split into different clubs based on Sony/Microsoft/Nintendo/PC, Handhelds/Consoles, or an overall group. I'd be happy to make the clubs, but I'd like opinions on how to organize things.

    I would say just create one general group, rather than breaking down into smaller ones, discussions will have more variety.

    So an overall group and then specific threads for each system?

    After watching the discussion of video-games on the Refuge, I think a club's focus should be on play-dates, competitions and generally just getting people connected. Since this forum has a video-game section, things like news and particular discussion of a certain game can be covered in this section. So if you're thinking about making a club, keep in mind that people will still desire to create their own video-game threads here, instead of the group forum. Anyway, if you wanted to run a club, that would be fine by me. I ran the one on the original forum, but I have already got a club to manage on this forum (Community Club). Perhaps I could be a helper or w/e when the group is made, if you'd like.
