Hi there! These are "poems" I came up with yesterday while I was in class.. I'd like to hear people's opinion on them. The first one is called "Fear." Thanks for your time!












FEAR



A sudden chill,

     as fast as lightning


  Burst through my chest,

         colder than ice.

Worst than fluids injected back into my body

              So overwhelming, but lasted only seconds

      A potent emotion:

FEAR.

Such warmth,

         Such bliss,

Surely must come from the sun

Yet here I see, you right before me.

Keep smiling my dear,

For surely I'd die if I cannot see,

Without a fault, your innocent smile.

Live for us both - your happiness my goal

For if you are happy,

I die content.

        I have lived.

A WONDERFUL CAT'S LIFE



The warmth of a fire,

blazing so bright.

A gentle hand

smooth down my fur.

As I lay laying on my owner's lap

I purred softly, in content.

A Wonderful Cat's Life indeed.













So what are your opinions? The pictures doesn't really relate to the poem, I just googled it based on certain things in the poems so it'll look nicer....

No, I actually don't write it often. I had a moment of inspiration while sitting in class- that's all. I usually only write when I'm inspired, and only when I'm not busy trying to work on something else. And if I think it's worth writing down, then I specifically stop whatever I'm working on to compose it. ^^''

I was sitting in class, writing the second poem. The "warmth" basking part got me to thinking how nice it would be to sit by a fireplace. Then the song popped into my head, and I just went from there.

 

Oh wait, i meant the one before =p

The middle one? Well, after I finished writing the first, I thought "cold. So cold... if only... warmth... smile." And went from there. Mid-way, I remembered this song and it influenced the ending of the poem.
