The media service Crunchyroll announced on Monday that it will stream the Last Period: the journey to the end of the despair (Last Period: Owari naki Rasen no Monogatari) and Yotsuiro Biyori (Rokuhōdō Yotsuiro Biyori) television anime. Both will be available worldwide except in Asia.

The stream for Last Period: the journey to the end of the despair will debut on Wednesday at 12:00 p.m. EDT.

The anime will premiere on Tokyo MX and ABC Asahi Broadcasting on Wednesday, and on BS11 on Thursday. The anime will run for 12 episodes.

    Crunchyroll describes the anime:

"I'm never going to give up!! For that reason, I became a Period!!”
Evil demons known as “Spiral” —made of souls who died in agony—threaten the people of the world. In order to stand up against Spirals, people founded the “Arc End” to suppress the Spirals. Individuals whose skills are recognized are admitted to Arc End to become “Period” to fight for peace.

Hal, who failed the Period admittance test 38 times, was accidentally admitted as an “Assistant Period” in Arc End 8th Squad. Forming a team along with other new members, Gazel and Liese, he is finally able to take his first step towards reaching his goal!

Happy Elements is credited with the original work, and whoopin is credited with the character designs. Yoshiaki Iwasaki (Love Hina, Hayate the Combat Butler, Miss Monochrome) is directing the anime at J.C. Staff. EGG FIRM is producing. Hideki Shirane (Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?, Hayate the Combat Butler) is handling the series composition, and Mika Takahashi (Twin Angels BREAK character designer) is adapting whoopin's designs for animation and serving as chief animation director. Manual of Errors (Magimoji Rurumo, Tamako Love Story) is composing the music at NBCUniversal Entertainment, and Yoshikazu Iwanami (Sword Art Online, Psycho-Pass) is the sound director at Magic Capsule.

The stream for Yotsuiro Biyori will debut on Tuesday at 12:30 p.m. EDT.

The series will premiere on AT-X on Tuesday night in Japan at 12:30 a.m. (effectively Wednesday morning in Japan).

The story of both the original manga and the anime takes place at a popular Japanese-style tea house called Rokuhōdō. Four specialists work there: Sui makes the tea, Gure creates latte art, Tsubaki makes the sweets, and Tokitaka cooks. In addition to serving their customers, they sometimes help them solve their problems.

Tomomi Kamiya (A Good Librarian Like a Good Shepherd) is directing the anime at ZEXCS (Diabolik Lovers, D.C. ~Da Capo~). Deko Akao(Noragami, Pretty Rhythm Dear My Future) is in charge of series composition, and Takuya Satō (director for Steins;Gate, Girls Beyond the Wasteland) is adviser and sound director. Kei Anjiki (associate animation director for Black Lagoon) is designing the characters, and Noriko Itou (animation director for Yuri!!! on Ice, Punch Line) is providing the cooking designs. Hiromasa Ogura (xxxHOLiC, Diabolik Lovers) is art director. GENCO is producing the anime.

Yū Shimizu's original manga launched in Go Go Bunch in October 2013. Shinchosha published the eighth compiled book volume on Monday.
